News, Tips & Tricks and More for Pokemon Sword and Shield, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild & More!
Just remember. We’re probably a year away from this game. And very good chance it’ll be updated :).
Yeah, but I'm glad that we don't have to wait almost 2 years
I think that it will be good. They have some work to do but I think that within a year that it will be very good.
Hi
I'd wait if it needs development
I really hope they improve on this game. Ik it’s probably not gonna happen but I hope it’s less than a year
I think that if it wasn't pokemons 25th aniversery, they wouldn't have shown this until later in the year. The probably wanted to put it on the pokemon 25 present to signify the new era of pokemon.

idk how i feel about pokémon game world having a realistic-ish look too them, i think cartoon style is much better I mean shouldn't the plant pokémon blend in with the plants? the only way they'd look like they belong in the world is if they updated the look of the pokemon themselves to be more realistic (monster hunter style). probably an unpopular opinion but i really like the art (water too realistic tho) and open gameplay style in the swsh expansions they just need more scenery they should of gone that direction just open world for the whole game. tldr, they should stick to an art style that fits the actual pokemon.
THEY LEFT THE CYNDAQUIL WITH THE FLAME ON YESSS

I know this game is in development. but I hope this world doesn't feel empty.
This is what people have been clamoring for. A BotW style Pokémon game. They forget worlds like that are empty.
@@lemonutz What are you talking about? BotW is nowhere near empty!
The game won't be out until next year or even 2023.
@@lemonutz the excuses start early. Any properly made big world isn’t empty. A game made by these glorified indie devs will definitely be.
@@owenhall645 That’s what I’m hoping will be the case for the Pokémon game. Early BOTW footage made it look pretty empty and barren and look how that turned out.
Since this is a prequel, hopefully we see some new “extinct” pokemon
That would be dope
I think that rhyhorn in the trailer might be an extinct version of it.
Ooooo what about fossil Pokémon in the wild?

The “Old Ball” is the Pokeball of the movie “Pokemon 4Ever”
Sam's balls from 4Ever were more canteen-like in design with a screw-off top. The pokeballs in Legends: Arceus are steam-powered, and look near identical to a modern Pokeball, but with a pulltab in place of a button. EDIT: it just occurred to me that you may have been trying to correct the guy, like he's calling the Pokeballs in this game Old Balls when that's a different kind of ball entirely.

Right! Im the same age and had stopped playing after silver but got back in with Pokemon go and this looks like the biggest development they've made in 20+ yrs. Im really excited to see where this goes and what could happen in the future if it does well.
Don't get your hopes up man lmao. They screwed up and rushed the last game and they literally are only giving themselves like a year of a set date to develop this game from what I've heard. It's likely not going to be very good. It's a shame but this is the reality that we have to be honest about haha.
I think scarlet and violet are a better example for your dream Pokémon game
Dude if this does well, we could also get a game for kyurem where he's fused with both reshiram and zekrom
It's funny that Austin's being all critical, and I'm just like, "this is the best thing ever give it to me right now."
Being hyper critical of a game that’s a year away and is in deep development is super dumb and this video is kinda annoying me
@@dekunt6549 I just think Austin did it, because if he didn't he'd have people breathing down his neck to do it. bridges are built by nature, you can go to the most abandoned place on earth and still find a bridge somewhere
I’m much more interested in Legends than the remakes...

Yes! Pokemon trying new things is the road to improvement!
I agree
But they couldn't do this with the main line game, so it looks like we're getting 2 side games with no online capabilities. If we're expected to rely on Sword and Shield to wifi battle for the rest of the generation I'm gonna be so mad.
@@TheRed02151 DP should have online It had local co op in the original game so I don’t see why they won’t be able to make it have online features
@@Tyreker and it would make more sense for diamond amd pearl to have online. Legends seems like a pure Singleplayer game tbh
Since we’re playing with a old Sinnoh, it makes you wonder how Regigigas will be presented in Snowpoint Temple 👀
Maybe you'll be the one putting him there.
No slow start because he isn't that old...
There's so much potential for them to reference future established facts about Sinnoh. I'll be shocked if we don't see a small camp set up right on top of what will one day become a major city/town, with an NPC going "I'm tired of moving! I'm staying right here!"
Try not to set your expectations too high
Imagine you just see a Regigigas with the size of like a *H e c k i n g C h o n k e r*
So no one is gonna talk about how much better the animations are when you use a move compared to sword and shield

@@TheRed02151 the sinnoh remakes are unlikely to have an updated pokedex so the competitive scene is probably goint to stay in sword and shield as the game as 400+ pokemon.
@@johnmitchek3183 Wow honestly that's going to be quite the blow for the competitive scene, to have 2 Pokemon games, but nothing to progress online with. I mean Sword and Shield has already received enough hate over the last year. Third dlc maybe ?Lol
When they say “entering a new era” I hope that means they are changing Pokémon for good. I hope this is a core Pokémon game and not a side game.
Probably a side game, like Conquest.
deadass tired of this blood & crip stuff
I honestly think this is a core game because it has to do with the core games' lore, you can also see that the Arceus in "Pokemon Legends" is more of a subtitle rather than a part of the entire title meaning that this series will probably have more games and tell us more about the backstory of each trio/duo leader of each region (since it is confirmed that PL: Arceus happens before the events of DPP)
It's confirmed to be a mainline game
@@TirelessGaming nah I on Twitter or the website they confirmed it's a mainline

@@angelahirbe7854 then their would be a controversy... Wich is normal with Nintendo.
@@Thunor93 That wasn't a shiny Ryhorn, I was just a regular one that was being directly lit
@@TheAllGodlyVaxel they change shiny colors quite a bit so you never know until they release the game. So lets agree to disagree.
I think this is pokemons year of experimentation. They went 2 opposite directions, and they want to see which one works so in the future they can make more of what we liked. Also, the lucario doing close combat was one of the best animations Ive ever seen in a mainline pokemon game, so I can't wait for the battles.
The Riolu? That looked like 'Extremespeed' perhaps... or Quick Attack, something which is supposed to have that 'flash step' style movement?
@@kereminde There was a lucario in the video, but not in austins analysis.

@@pj3795 thats because its their first open world game. They already trying to get game nit to pag and play right. After thr find the formula they might make a more modern pokemon game open world like anime with multiplayer. Maybe 20 or 30 people per server to not overload it.
Thank god it's not multiplayer. Seeing what happened with Sword and Shield it would have been a disaster.
Austin said that he thinks we won't get much info until the diamond and pearl remakes, but i really think that legends is their main project as of now
It feels like Gamefreak listened to the things people wanted most in a Pokemon game and instead of combining them, they split them into 2 different games.
I think this is very wise. They recognised that there were two groups of players and they couldn't please both as the tried to with SwSh. I just hope we see pokemon 899 and 900 this year.
But they couldn't do this with the main line game, so it looks like we're getting 2 side games with no online capabilities. If we're expected to rely on Sword and Shield to wifi battle for the rest of the generation I'm gonna be so mad.

@@sarthakarora3212 I'm sure it will, but it won't be the mainline Sword and Shield Metagame that holds prominence in Gen 8. So the confusion is are we expected to rely on Sword & Shield for the rest of the generation? Legends is a single player campaign.
@@TheRed02151 honestly if it means no online for legends I don’t mind since this is the most realistic Pokémon game I’ve seen so far, literally the kind of game a lot of people wanted for so long and I hope they do a legends series

When you see that red book in the beginning im gonna bet my money on that it is actually the "pokedex" of this era, i mean think about it, to collect info for the pokedex you would have to make drawings of every pokemon you encounter! And the leaked image with the trainer riding a pokemon in the water, looks kinda lika a Kingdra!
And the one with the deer looking pokemon What's its name
@@rghennig1 maybe sawsbuck but not sure
I like the idea of the player having to draw their own pictures of the pokemon they encounter on rhe touch screen :p
Professor Oak invented the digital Pokédex so it definitely would make sense if the red book was the original Pokédex
what i would love. is to see temples for legendaries as theyre built. imagine if youre the one who sealed regigas. or by completing Legends Arceus you get the azure flute for BDSP to go battle arceus
That would be so cool! It would also boost sales as people would definitely buy both games
Honestly a full tie in would be pretty dope. Experience the game as it was the first time then be like yolo now its time to see how the events that shaped the current version actually happened. Doing side quest for NPCs to transport revival herbs or learn how to craft the first pokeballs and slowly unravel kurts pokeball techniques for unique pokemon like the heavy ball. Use honey to attract a horde of combee and have to fight them multiple of them because of a swarm. The possibilities with an idea like this could be endless if they put some heart into it.
Havent watched pokemon content in so long, but I gotta say, your content is the absolute BEST on youtube! Keep it up my man!! Love it!!
If this game lives up to its potential, it will be the best thing ever. Can't wait to see you play the game when it comes out.
Forget about SwSh's Tree, Austin presents: Legends: Arceus' Grass
I think you're totally right about them just piecing a few bits together to show whats in the works. The footage does look over-sharpened and over exposed, but I think this is easily fixed by adding a bit of blurring to the scenery that's a little further away/ just outside of 'battle range'. This was done in BOTW and it really ties everything together. I'd imagine this is something they'll add at a later date, along with way more Pokemon with better animations- its so early to be having anything more polished than this, which is why i'm so happy to see it! If this is what it currently looks like and we have over a year to wait, I'd say we're in for a treat!
the riolu was using quick attack... either that or extreme speed... that's the whole point of those two moves is that the pokemon is supposed to be moving so fast that you can't see it's movements
I’d say I’m optimistic for the graphics. I look at the Halo Infinite reveal trailer, compared to the screenshots we got a few days ago, and the graphical improvement over a few months is astounding, and the devs have a year to make this game look polished and run smoothly,
Gamefreak recently moved into nintendo HQ aswell, i think nintendo will keep a close eye on gamefreak and help if needed.
Plus they can always delay if needed
@@sandslashproductions4037 i hope they would be willing to take that step need be. pokémon has been rushing out all of their games and suffering heavily because of it. i would rather have a beautifully polished game in 2023 than a half baked mess in 2022.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm very happy they are finally doing something like this because this is the Pokemon experience I've always wanted but this footage looks like relatively early development. @@AlexMartinez-jb6zt that would be kinda cool
You could help the people of “Ye Olde Snowpoint City” build Snowpoint Temple?
I’m sure there will be several settlements
Haven't checked the comments but yes, in Japan publications are read from what would be our "last page" in the west. This is mainly due to the writing orientation (right to left). Many manga published in the US and other western countries keep the orientation, even after translation, since all pages are drawn with that in mind.
The beach scene had a surprisingly giratina like monument in the background. Also you totally said crotching instead of crouching, and I laughed for real.
Just by looking at the size of the region, I hope we get to ride pokemon. Cause if we have to walk everywhere that's going to take forever, and I hope there's no bike/mech transport.
Oh that'd be awesome. Maybe take some inspiration from Monster Hunter Rise,a and have a command for your Pokemon to come to you and have you ride it, and you can even use your Pokemon's attacks while riding

This game's set in feudal Sinnoh, so it'd be weird to see you riding a mech. Unless it was a Golurk anyway, assuming they even appear in this game.

It makes me wonder if it’s similar to AC: Odyssey’s alpha animals...or maybe even the legendary animals?
Not sure if someone has commented on this yet, but the note on the slide for the battles (titled シームレスバトル) near the end of the video mentions that it will not be a turn system for battles that we are historically familiar with. Instead, the final part of the note mentions that it will be like an “ATB” style (active time battle) combat system. Hope this helps! Also on the bottom right of the slide, it says that if the main character (the player in this case) doesn’t put out a Pokémon, the player themselves can take damage. Says the battle will end as soon as this happens, but not sure how this will play out or what the repercussions are for this. Anyways seems super interesting and excited for this to drop!! P.s. - on that screenshot, the A prompt was to “battle” and the B prompt was to “run”/“flee”
Oh, dude! Imagine trying to catch a Garchomp without fighting and there’s a small cutscene (à la Mewtwo with a Master Ball in Let’s Go) it turns and cuts the ball in half and that’s where we get the shot, from the trailer, where Garchomp seems to be jumping the Gallade. That would make me a happy boy
Regarding the Riolu, it looks like a "speed" attack you'd see in anime, like in Dragon Ball or something. Doesn't look like a flaw to me.

It looked like they were riding a Sawsbuck. In that picture with the weird yellow Pokemon thing, in the bottom it looks like you can press + to call Sawsbuck (or Stantler, or whatever it was) to ride around. Maybe you can swap between different ride Pokemon sort of like in Sun/Moon instead of HMs. I am definitely excited for this game, I think it will be a really interesting setting and story to explore since it is set in the distant past of the Pokemon world and we've never seen that before. I think/hope most of the graphical issues will be ironed out over the next year with the framerate and sharpening/aliasing. I'm also looking forward to finding out more about the game, and seeing that features of this they implement into Gen IX. An open world mainline Pokemon game could be fantastic.

Anyone else notice that Cyndaquil’s fire is constantly burning this time?
Thank goodness for that
I think it's a little stupid. Like, the Cyndaquil line is not like the Charmander line- it doesn't need to keep its flame lit for any vital reason. Now keeping the flame lit during battle, sure, but there's no real reason to do it outside of those circumstances.
@Danielle Jones I can understand why people would want the flames though. It makes it look more dynamic. Like it’s actually in a fight. Maybe it could be like Xerneas. Outside of battle there’s no fire, but in battle the flames appear.
Even at "this good" It looks amazing! it has reignited my hope for the future of Pokemon! I had lost hope. I hope the issues are improved if not it still looks the best! I want Legends ArceusI Also they are animated in battle better and they make contact in battle then move back! Its all such good news! Lets hope it lives up to what it can/should be!
I'm super excited about this, I hope they take their time with it and make it something special!
ugh it looks so good life is worth living again
It's not intended to look realistic. It almost resembles sharpened hand drawn animation. Also, it's also not coming out for like a year.
Yeah I think people need to realise this is more okami x botw. Basically a very asian artstyle. I personally love that. Still exited to see where it will go. (:
I can't wait to sit at a campfire in the night and just vibe in old sinnoh
I agree for me they just testing the water with this game so when gen 9 come out it might be on the same engine of this game but also better
Still looks pretty bad
@@Serpentinsatin yeah when i first saw it i immediately thought of okami!
Feels like your back in time like in the movie Arceus Jewel of life! Dope concept. Leads to future games of time traveling 🤷🏻♂️
I wouldn't worry about the animations at this stage, or the balloon-esque models. This very much looks like a proof-of-concept. And I'm totally stoked about it.
I think if the ball fails to catch it, you’ll engage it in battle.
Or the Pokemon might run away!
The pokemon kills you.
@@Kat-mu8wq why else would you need a dodge
I'd imagine the story being of the creation of the azure flute
I think it’ll be like a love letter to the fans and will really surprise us with all the changes, I mean already no gyms! It will be it’s own game series. I don’t think you’ll be able to port your Pokémon over from old games so it’ll be an all “new”collection to complete !
This is SUPER early footage. The best part is going back and looking at how much they added and improved.
man, I love these trailer analysis videos
