    • I thought the solar flares were normally seen in such places of cloudless, clean sky., like also the south island in places unpopulated of New Zealand, 🇳🇿 , it's only higher and happening all over world due the the magnetic, solar flares etc being I tense. Solar flares. Not something that is owned by Iceland

Tourists from around the world come to Churchill in the north of Manitoba to view the northern lights by night and the polar bears and beluga whales during the day.

Ahh long drives, here we drive straight through form Melbourne to Brisbane, just under 2000 kilometres in 21 hours... Its gruelling but most will not stop for rest! • I saw them when I lived in Minneapolis when I went to visit a friend in White Bear Lake but they were faint colors. However when I went to Montana one summer far away from city lights just outside of Yellowstone Park and on the way to The Grand Tetons ...I saw the most vivid colors and writhing ribbons of the most vivid colors like blue, green, pink, and purple-to pink-violet ...that whirled and cascaded almost like waterfalls and moving rivers of light ...it was amazing, magic, miraculous... There aren't enough superlatives to describe them. They are seared in my memory and confirmed in my soul as one of the most amazing experiences of my life ...seared there forever! They confirmed that we live on an amazing magical planet hurtling through space ...but seemingly guided by a greater power than mere mechanics ...just gobsmacked!!

I hope you're as happy to be back at Lalande as we are that you've returned.❤ Stephanie, I'm so anxious to see your aunt and uncle again. They are so delightful. They're the guests everyone wants at their party. Please tell me you're going to share at least a glimpse of Chantel and Steve's new home. Just a peak, my imagination can fill in the rest. Their home in England was magnificent. My guess is, smaller but even better, like a petit Petit Trianon. JK I'm hoping it's perfect for them. Please keep young Lancelot away from those south of France bitches. As we saw at the village fair, he's too easily led astray. I trust that he's otherwise enjoying his trip. Your guests seemed to be enjoying their stay at Château de Lalande. I'm going to have to rewatch to get a better view of the table. I'm a bit obsessed with Philip's table settings. They're sublime. The shots of the aurora borealis were amazing. Thanks for sharing them. Who knew they appear so much clearer in a snapshot? Have a safe and enjoyable return trip home. ❤ from TX!

  • My sighting of the Aurora Borealis started almost exactly the same way. I'm in the south of England so never really expected to see the spectacle. Because of photographs being posted on line I popped ou with my camera and I saw a band of red in the sky but also odd bands of white, almost like multiple loose vapour trails but coming down rather than across my view. I was suspicios that it must be the Northern Lights and although my camera did not do them justice, I did manage to get a couple of photographs with enough colour in them to make me happy that I really did see them. :-)

  • OMG I just checked out the Lily Silk store and now have my cart full of beautiful clothes that l’m going to buy just as soon as I can get downstairs to get my credit card out of my purse! The clothes are GORGEOUS and you, Stephanie, look absolutely stunning in them! You and I both have similar tastes in clothing, because I, too, ADORE that chic, old school, classic, sexy, but relaxed and comfy look. You look absolutely STUNNING and ELEGANT in those clothes, I just love it all! I will be going on a much needed looooong vacation next year, (please God!) and will be travelling to different places all around the world, while travelling with my 8 year old grandson, my 41 year old (only) son and his beautiful wife who is from Germany. I’ll be leaving AFTER I recover from the SEVENTH spine surgery that is happening here soon in June. I will also be turning 60, so what a way to start my 60’s! I use to be stationed in Geilenkirchen, Germany with NATO back in the mid to late 90’s, too, and I travelled all over Europe. So it won’t be my first time in Europe. We use to drive to Maastricht where Philip is from, many times, because it was so beautiful and full of history. ( It also opened up a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant there that we made special trips for, now and again, just to get a taste from back home in Canada.) I am also on of thee biggest history buffs on the planet and I gobble up as much history as I can find. Maastricht is full of history and wasn’t that far from Geilenkirchen, only a couple hours drive. We took advantage of our time living in Europe and travelled everywhere! So, recently I started having more troubles again with my spine over this past year. I was seriously injured in the military years back and, though I received many other injuries, both outside and inside my body and damage to a few of my internal organs, my spine injury was the worst. After a long battle and many surgeries, all was fine for a while, until my left leg started going COMPLETELY dead for minutes at a time and then coming back to feeling normal…all happening without any warning. It literally goes completely dead and I find myself falling down. I fell down a flight of stairs, twice, fell backwards while exiting my bathtub, hitting the back of my head on the tub and bruises everywhere. I can just be walking along and suddenly falling and find myself staring up at the ceiling. I have had bruises the size of dinner plates on my hips, legs, back and arms. My last fall was the worst, though, because I struck my head really hard off of the dresser in my bedroom hallway when I fell, cutting my head and ear open in the progress. Thank God I wear Life Line who was alerted to my fall. So, long story short, my surgeon is opening up my entire back, fusing the entire spine with more titanium rods, while replacing the old rods that I already have in my lower back and neck and replacing them with the new rods, down the entire length of my spine. *Fingers crossed* it will fix the left leg in the progress. I am ready to get it done and over with! Going to be the biggest surgery of my life! In fact, my son and his wife are here now, because my son is escorting me on my medical trip for tests, because I cannot travel alone right now with risk of falling. I’m actually flying out tomorrow evening to have the final MRI done, before my doctor starts my surgery next month. It takes at least a year to recover from the surgery, so, I have time to prepare and gather up some nice clothes for my travels next year. I have things to dream about, plan and prepare for as I lay recovering. It will help me get through the pain and suffering I have to face. I know the pain, because this is spine surgery # eight for me and it’s no walk in the park. I cannot wait to go back to Europe and I have been searching for the perfect clothes to buy and, thanks to Stephanie, I have finally found them at Lily Silk! Who knows, perhaps next year, I may just stop by and stay at LaLand to visit all you beautiful people who I feel I know so well and are now my friends. I’ll then be able to visit the star that I purchased in memory of my beloved father who passed away from cancer several years ago. My daughter in law is actually from Northern Germany, about 4 hours from Geilenkirchen, so I’ll be also going back there to visit my old stomping grounds, too. Her parents and family still live in Germany. My son is retired from the military now, he served in the special forces of the military (Joint Task Force II), his wife, who is an engineer, took a five year leave of absence from her job and they home school their boy, my grandson, so they can travel the entire world. They plan to travel for five years, but my spine problems arose and now I need urgent surgery, so they flew here from Dubai, where they had just finished up their tour of the Middle East. Anyway, I am a talker as you’ve probably noticed and I’m now rambling on. Again, Thank you for telling us about Lily Silk and modelling some of the clothes, because they are exactly the type of clothes that I have been desperately searching for on the internet for months now. They also ship to Canada! I’m buying a few pieces of really good quality clothing every month from here on until it’s time for me to travel! I’m getting things ready to go. I just sent in my expired passport today for renewal. 👏👏👏👏👏It is a start and I’m so excited! Please God, if all goes well with my surgery, I’ll be preparing to leave around this time next year! I will be back on my feet and on my way to Europe, Japan and hopefully Egypt….dressed from head to toe in Lilly Silk! 😂🤣I also found myself suddenly single in November after 40 years of a rather mentally abusive, very unhappy and unhealthy marriage that I tolerated over the years and it finally took him leaving me, once again, to realize that I didn’t want him back anymore. So, this time, when he came crawling back after “eating all the green grass on the other side of the fence” so to speak, for the SEVENTH time in our marriage that I knew of and forgave, because I loved him since I was 9 years old and married him at 19, I finally told him…”no, you cannot come back, because I deserve some peace and happiness before I die. I really, really need some good news in my life right now, some good vibes, some happiness, a long vacation away from the chronic 24/7 pain that I suffer from daily, the loneliness, the silence in my big ole house that is now filled with the yapping sounds of two new puppies I recently bought. (I just love animals!)I want to walk without the fear of falling, I want my independence back and be able to take care of myself, alone once more, but most of all I want…. some excitement and adventure in my life once again! I’m working hard to make that happen and getting ready to go….thinking about it, manifesting it, putting out all my good and positive vibes out into the universe, keeping my spirits high and keeping myself going throughout it all. I just can’t wait! Wish me luck! (Sorry for the long post. 2 am, awake and just so anxious about flying out for that MRI tomorrow) P.S. I also watched your Patreon video about your wedding. Do whatever makes you happy. My daughter (police officer) and her hubby (firefighter) travel in their spare time when they’re not out riding their horses. They went on a month long vacation to Europe back in October/November. They actually eloped, well, my daughter’s fiancé surprised her one day as they were getting ready to go riding on their first day of vacation. He rode up to her while she, too, was sitting on a horse and said, “see that man there on that horse, he is a priest and he is marrying us right now!” He had arranged everything, even had a wedding planner hired to give them a romantic dinner that evening, wedding cake, decorations, etc. So, while sitting on horses, dressed in riding gear and leather riding boots, deep in the lush green highlands of beautiful Scotland, right in front of a 6th century castle, that they were staying in for two weeks, they said their vows in front of their two closest friends who were travelling with them and then rode off for an entire day of riding through the countryside and mountain's. Soooo romantic! She said, “Mom, I couldn’t even conjure up a better dream wedding than the one he planned for us, even if I wanted to!” He arranged the perfect wedding and managed to keep it all secret. Not even their best friends knew his plans! About time, too, because they were engaged for six years already! 😂🤣Just wish I could have been there, but it was the perfect wedding for her!

  • Oh Pezenas! That is right near my house in Hérépian, a little village on the Orb River in the foothills of the Espinouse. It is such beautiful country, and the wildflowers will be smothering the roadways and hillsides. Banks on bridges and road cuttings will be thick with blue Iris, and red poppies will soon be filling the fields. Of I miss it. 🇦🇺.

  • I live at 43 degrees north latitude, in Michigan, and northern lights are fairly uncommon. I had seen them a few times before. However, Friday night was the most spectacular I had ever seen. I love that shot of the chapel silhouetted in front of the brilliantly lit sky! You definitely should have that photo made into postcards! I look forward to seeing your aunt and uncle tomorrow. They are lovely people!

  • Here in Australia we have been so excited for the same reasons! The Southern Aurora or Aurora Australis was visible in our region (Gippsland in Victoria) where normally you have to be in Antarctica to see it, or occasionally in southern Tasmania. I never thought I’d ever see it, it was so exciting. The whole of the southern sky was alight with green and pink light. It was incredible.
