I'm a US Navy veteran and have always had a bantering rivalry with my brothers and sisters in the US Coast Guard. With that said, they are badasses at what they do. I've seen it up close and personal. USCG rocks in my humble opinion.
Of course they do, but that doesn't stop each and every branch from talking crap to one another! It probably started a few years after one dude wanted to play on the water and another wanted to play on land when humans were still living in caves!
Keeping it real Yeau you are!
U mean your still in USN untill now? Wow congrats Sir.
Thanks Shipmate. You all in the Navy are all right in my book.
Pity with DHS now, less educational more about spying on citizens & disruption of crews at work.
It used to be that the boaters I know deeply respected and appreciated the Coast Guard. They were considered heros, and people you were always happy to see. That appreciation seems to have become less common. The CG's focus has unceasingly shifted towards inspections and enforcement, and casual contact with boaters is increasingly viewed as a headache for boaters as the Coast Guard focuses on boardings and inspections, and seems to be searching for a reason to find something wrong. These days boaters I know hope to avoid an encounter with the Coast Guard. It's a shame.
Paranoia my friend! Pure unadultered paranoia!
Not from here.... I love boating and when it hits the fan.... they are still heros. I was "boarded' by the USCG 20 years ago an d they could not have been more professional. They really really tried NOT to give us a ticket but we were too stupid to take clue... we didn't have flares on our 16ft boat and the guy kept asking,,, this is 15 feet right? Duh... still only got a warning plus an education on the offshore requirements. Still very impressed by them.
@@IrvingtonArms 20 years ago was a different time. My comment was about what they're like now, at least where I am.
@@missingegg I suppose thats true... Be safe out there!
The US Coast Guard isn’t founded by George Washington estate in the video but by Alexander Hamilton.
THANK YOU
I mean if you want to split hairs, The US Congress founded the Revenue Marine. George Washington was president and Alexander Hamilton (who was indeed the champion for creating the Revenue Marine) was the Secretary of the Treasury.
Thank you for protecting America and our Homeland Security, and for all of Serving in our Armed Forces!
I was in the infantry in the Army and the training was so hard but WOW the amount of training that all different special forces that go through I can only imagine I know not many people can do it that's why they are called special forces ect. Thanks so very very much to all of you for all long hrs. Of time and hard work and sacrifices you and your families do. May God bless you all!!!!
Remember, everyone deployed. God bless you all. 🇺🇸 All the way.
A few facts about them that wasn't mentioned: Began as the "Cutter Service" under the US Treasury because the only income of the Continental Congress had was duties on shipments which led to smuggling. They have always had the Lifeboat Service which were double ended oar boats with a Coxswain and rowers. In a declared war they are placed under the DEPT. OF THE NAVY and accept duties as assigned. In WW2 they lost a greater percentage of people than all the other branches of the military during the conflict because they ran Convoy duties against the German Wolf Packs and became their first targets, as were the Destroyers but their ships were smaller and slower. Grand Haven Michigan has a Coast Guard Day because a cutter was torpedoed with all hands but one dying in the sinking. Every one of the crew was from that city. The Mackinaw, an Ice Breaker is stationed there. All of the Landing craft in the Normandy Invasion were operated by Coast Guard Coxswains or Navy Coxswains because they had so many of them. Sadly, during Viet Nam, when I served the USCG became under the Dept. of Transportation and began the Inspections of all vessels both great and small. Then came the War on Drugs. and the white cutters are used in that. They are still the ones to come to you in an emergency situation and always will. Now they are under Homeland Security and must work even if their pay is suspended by Congress. We still use the black cutters to service aids to navigation, including all Light Houses maned or automatic. I was one of them for four years of my life and never regretted serving. My dad served in WW2 at the age of 16 with his mother's permission in the USN on the USS Midway for 6 years and his brother was in the USA Signal Corp during Korea. Thanks to all of my Brothers and Sisters that served our Nation in it's need.
When discussing the "distinctive " green beret, the person shown is not wearing a beret. He is wearing a traditional cap that is so worn in the bill it would not pass inspection.
That wasn't the only thing wrong with that shot. Hair too long and unkempt, likely they weren't even in the military. Freeze frame it and look at all the things that point to that.
Thank you for keeping America safer😊😊😊
MARAVILHA ! MAIS UM EXCELENTE VÍDEO !
the Coast Guard as we know it was started by ALEXANDER HAMILTON 1790, not George Washington, Its name was Founded: on August 4, 1790 As the Revenue Cutter Service
God bless these amazing men and women - they walk the walk in these much needed times of poor weak leadership.
They almost walk on water
This has to be an old video, they're talking about when the border patrol actually stopped people.
How can I find out when this will happen again in tampa? I live about 30 min from tampa and would love to watch this demonstration.
How the heck did we go from Coast Guard to Army?
Was thinking the same thing
Because the Army has more boats than the Coast Guard. I was a Boatswain on a sea-going Army tug LT2076.
"Haters Gonna Hate" Hahaaaaa.. Seriously... Thank Yall for Your Service!!!
I've watched the Coast Guard train doing these high speed chases while out fishing in Buzzards bay from Bird Island all the way to the Elizabeth Islands.. Pretty cool. They also had some nasty mounted guns on the bow. Looked like 50 cal.
That tee shirt he had on 😂" haters gonna hate".. too funny.
When I was in the Army I asked my drill sergeant that I wanted to go to airborne school and he told me that I couldn't because I had to request that first..my aim was to special school after I qualified for airborne school either with the 82 nd or the 101 program which didn't bother me. I wanted my family proud. I had fired the 22 caliber, M14 and the M16,next step was the M50 and the M60 which was not easy. I had 3 years ROTC training in high school so I knew what to do. My father made it mandatory, all my brothers and sisters, because he was a MEDIC during WW2. He wanted to make sure we had the physical and mental capacity in case rather we had to DEPLOY full gear with our M16,nothing has changed I am a Vietnam Veteran some 40 years ago. My son is a MARINE active service, he is a E-7.Gunne.
Good job bro
Excellent equipment
The advantage the USCG has over a police chase is a gun mounted on the foredeck. Much safer for them than a high speed PIT. Those guns should have shields though.
Wah , keren nya Mantap tuh kalau Indonesia bisa seperti itu
The Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton created the Revenue Cutter Service in 1790. It was later combined with the U S Life-Savings Service. It started out under the Treasury Department then Commerce, then Transportation and is currently under Homeland Security.
USLSS was bad to the bone. You have to go out, you don't have to come back.
“She is a green beret” 🤣
Mexican Cartels found a way to teleport their contrabands .
Go, Coasties!
Well it must be all training and show cuz we have had a record number of crossings these few past years. Maybe they were all on vacation 🤔
They are all delegated to paperwork and assisting the illegals get to the NGOs
I was USCG it was great service
Me to, but a t VA have had others tell me I wasn't real military. 21/2 years as boat engineer on rush 723.
some good-o-boy stuff and the qualification is granted
And you better know it. There are not that many organizations, military nor civilian that do not have a good ol' boy network. Old school: you git in where you fit in / damn! Who in the hell let him in here? You know the old saying, it ain't Who you know, it's Who you blow @ some people just got juice 🤜🤛🤷
It's really sad to know that what is being shown here is not what's being played out today in America, all the countless people who have served in the military that gave their very lives to protect the country, now it isn't being honored at all... yes we all know that nothing remains the same, and changes take place, and if that's the case? The changes should be done for the betterment.
มีทั้งฝ่ายตรงข้ามด้วยค่ะ ในมีอถีอเครี่องนี้แหล่ะ
No lifesaving services were always performed by the US Lifesaving Service which merged with the Revenue Cutter service (the Coast Guard).
So........ What does most of this have to do with the Coast Guard ??
Correction Alexander Hamilton created the United States Coast guard revenue Marine was the first name
I'm at howitzer. An. S&W. Warthog. Drone. Big Yacht. Redondo. Beach pear
Nothing beats the 25 and the 33 and the 45 and 47 are crazy good . U miss the 25 with the j turns
You said they do a Green Beret reenactment in Tampa?
It's an event that happens pretty regularly
Based on the TTPs in the videos , mostly likely this was a SEAL Op and not Green Barret. However, it's possible as SOCOM/JSOC units train in similar fashion, but over water ops are traditionally Navy!
How about putting some of these guys on the south boarder!
Border patrol are doing a great job now 😂
The problem isn’t with Border Patrol themselves, The problem is with the people who are running it a.k.a. the US Government Clown Committee!
Green Berets using watercraft? Looked to me like Navy Seal maneuvers to me.
Well, at least one of them had a Ranger badge. One word: SEAL. I wonder if the Marine Corps still runs the Coast Guard bootcamp like the used to.
Marines do not run the CG bootcamp. I went through Cape May, no Marines there.
Marines have never ran CG boot camp.
@@reggietullos7283 No, they designed it. It is/was identical to Marine boot camp.
@@reggietullos7283 I misspoke. They didn't run it, they just designed it.
Want to stop the bad guys, How about a couple of M2 browning 50 cal machine guns. Surely there are spares available in America somewhere. Then the sharks will have a more healthy diet.
We don't much around down here in Australia. We just spray the water in front of them with the twin 30mm cannons. They stop then.
I Loved going out is storms for rescue.
What is the USCG authority to stop and search foreign ships/boats in international waters?
They are a police force, not a military force (until they are put under the Department of Defense in time of war)
@@dundonrl But, not an internationally sanctioned police force.
Actually they are internationally recognized as having that authority through various treaties and maritime agreements.
14USC522
14USC522
I wanted to see a pit maneuver 😂😂😂
I like the way you timed giving George Washington the credit he deserves, while you showed early aircraft and other modern pursuit techniques. Wow was he ever insightful even visionary..
what was with the weird chick wearing the baseball cap being described as a green berret lol
What do you do when the people in charge have been compromised?
👍👍👍
CG does not have loud speakers on the 60s and im pretty sure they aren't on the 65s either
I wanted to join the Coast Guard when I got out of High School in 83 but playing hard and busted knees I was not eligible to join any arm service so I was a volunteer Firefighter for 33years too do my part so my last words are don’t just sit there do something do your part and MakeAmericaGreatAgain 😊😊😊
Navy was established in 1775 and coast guard in 1790, so how is the coast guard older?
I truly wanted to join the Coast Guard in 1995 Unfortunately the cutoff age was 28 or 29 and I was 30 years of age
Think they bumped it up to 40 or 50 now. Yeah, they have places for Seniors in the Guard. Google it mate.
Somethings more important than.other things
Pirates and bad boaters who cause accidents!
"THANK YOU ALL ! 🇺🇲
Typical Pavlov reaction. Stop thanking paid killers.
Come at me bro!
Too much water for me. Goguard !!
No in 1790 it was started as the Revenue Cutter Service
My question is this when did the Green berets😊 become part of the US army US army is rangers special forces Marines are Green Beret maybe is Navy seals when did this change
Too bad you can't do a pit maneuver in a boat!😅
more naval
GreAt s stories
so oct 13, 1775 is after aug 4, 1790 news to me the navy is still older than the coasties.
The Navy hasn’t been in continuous service as long as the Coast Guard has. The Navy was discontinued for I can’t remember offhand how many years but the Coast Guard kept functioning so the Coast Guard has more years in service.
Staggering amount of misinformation. Had to turn it off when he showed a picture of a tattered baseball cap and called it a green beret
There not so tough… jk, good job guys!
Another technique that would save money prosecuting these smugglers is do what they do to Somali pirates, blow em out of the water.
He or she ...hahhahaha what ridiculousness
Thought Alexander Hamilton founded coast guard
they were not at sea
You forgot about soar
I’d love to give them a run in my car 💯🙌🏻🇺🇸🫶🏻🫵🏻
Great job USA
Catch and let go! SMH
Border patrol is a important part of our nation domestic safety but so much more needs to be done to protect us from this immigration problem we face today
SLUG CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT OXYGEN /IT DONT MAKE NO SINCE TO BE IN WATER BREATH OXYGEN
Is there ANYWHERE in the world someone can go to get away from the heavy hand of the U.S. Government?
Cuba
Got to Russia or China you’ll be happy there!
@@Erical65 No, we'll stay. Why should we move? Why don't you go back to nazi Germany in the '30's
When, IF our government would let them do their jobs and support rather than hender them.
That hat is not a beret. Inaccurate information.
"to arrest speeding boats at sea" that's a very strange statement considering there are no speed limits "at sea".
Speeding can also mean “going really really fast”…
@@Erical65 And why would they want to arrest them? Again, there are no speed limits at sea.
Coast Guard is Military
They catch 200 drug cartels boats and 1500 get through because drug cartels are 100 steps ahead of their technique😂
Dude ….. you are sooooo cool .
@@woodrowcall3269 çhkcs
The Continental navy started 15 years before the coast guard in 1775. Need to get your facts straight.
It wasn't the U.S. navy and it was disbanded
they are doing paperwork, handing free phones, money ect ect
Audio off...better
South border ? Bla, bla, bla , bla
Nothing like written narration geared to 1st graders.
Because the money is free fromTaxpayers. Pretend security.
😎😎
No shit. Been to Texas waitwe
The Navy might argue they are the oldest but IMO, when the Navy was "disbanded" after the revolutionary war, they were not re-established till 10 years later. So, with that said, depending on how you look at it, TOTAL years, Navy is oldest but I don't feel that should count. Therefore, the CG is the OLDEST.
It would be nice if you would stay on subject. about 1/3 of this was Coasties and the rest has nothing to do with them! The Coast Guard does not have enough big guys with guns?
Crapy widoe...wher was the tecknick???
An Advertisement every 2 minutes, I couldn't finish the video. sorry.
😰😂😂
Border................................what border? Why do we even need a border patrol? Well......why?
Democrats trying to destroy the US. Two more years of Brandon, the US will be a third world country.
Because with no border. There is no country. No country can last very long with open borders
Drug boats/subs
Criminals, Drugs, terrorists they do alot to keep us safe
Read a history book and not just America k :) hope this helps
and the navy is older
Too slow, didn't watch.
