For the first time ever on this channel, here's a video introducing all of my leopard geckos and their backstories. Most of my geckos come from situations of adoption, rescue, or rehome, so there's a lot to tell! I wanted to end this year on a high note, so I hope you enjoy :) thanks so much for your support this year, and I will see you in 2022!
DISCLAIMER: Having 33 leopard geckos is time consuming, expensive, and challenging. I do not recommend that the everyday reptile keeper should have 33 leopard geckos. That said, I love what I do and I would not change a thing. I am just putting this disclaimer because I don't want anyone to be misled about how much work it is to care for 33 leopard geckos.

The individual who rescued Elia: / the_spotted_betta
Sansa was taken in with Arya very overweight and due to having wax worm preference, refused food for a while. When she started eating again, it wasn't long after that she randomly had loose stools and died the following day. At that time, I was not aware of necropsies or how to get one done, so I never had one done. I so wish I had. Due to Arya's issues with calcium I suspect it was related to that and possibly could've been D3 overdose or follicle stasis. Unfortunately I will never know. I didn't get to have her that long but I still think about her and have photos of her on my phone.
Shireen was a gecko rehomed to me by a breeder because she had enigma syndrome and was retiring from being a breeder. I had shireen for over 3 years until she was diagnosed with a liver tumor at my vet and passed at home. Geckos who are bred often live shorter lives, and that is especially the case if the animal has problematic genetics and health issues as well, so I was grateful for all the time I had with Shireen.
Sansa & Shireen are the only leopard geckos I have ever lost, and I think about them often.

I think what you are doing is so amazing and special. I had a girl with MBD (she came to me with it as a hatchling) and she passed away this year about two months ago at 4 years of age and I really miss her. This is the first video I’ve watching from you in about 2 years. I haven’t been able to handle looking at geckos since I lost my boys. I just welcomed my first gecko since them and my first female. Took some inspiration from you and named her Daenerys (I called her Dannie). I can’t wait to add more to my family and have geckos again.

Didn’t realize these type of geckos can inherit so many abnormalities and disorders.. Returning 2 giant day geckos for 2 Leopard geckos and just getting as much research in as I can before transitioning. Great video!

I got my leopard gecko yesterday and he was active in the night like he should, but hes still sleeping and its 8:24, i need to feed him and head to bed soon, should I wake him with my voice or just place them in? (SORRY FOR THE LONG QUESTION AND HOW IM ABT TO ASK A TON OF PEOPLE HERE I JUST NEED TO KNOW LOL)
@@JoJo-nj7sx hi I always hand feed my gecko and I think it has really helped us bond so I highly recommend it. Probably not wise to wake him while he's sleeping and if you just got him he might not eat the first couple days it's okay he will eat eventually. When I feed my gecko I do a gentle tap on the floor inside the tank and do a little click noise with my mouth and he usually knows it's dinner time. Mine I've had a few months and now he knows exactly when dinner time is and sometimes he waits at the glass for me haha

Hello Jessica 💖🤗, thank you so much for this video. It was so heart warming to see all your little ones 💗. Was trying to remember how long I've been subscribed to your channel. It's been awhile because I remember when a lot of these little one's arrived to their new home. I agree the tail drop was devastating. I cried during that video. Look at her now🥰! She is so happy and living the good life. Haven't held my little ones at all since I started with covid and boy do I miss that. Doing much better but because of asthma and as you remember I was found to be extremely diabetic. Sugars are doing much better and asthma definitely has kicked up big time. With being older too my recovery is going to be a long one. Was able to actually feed my little ones yesterday. Steve has been awesome in taking care of all of them during this time even though he was sick too. Not nearly as bad as me though. You are such a blessing to the reptile community and I'm sure many younger kids will want to rescue just like you. I wish I was younger ...like 40 years to do the same. Guess I will just live that desire through you.😉. Our Heavenly Father has definitely given a special gift to you and your using that gift. Will visit soon. Merlin is my absolute favorite of your geckos, I have a waffles that has the same genetics as him. My waffles has a bad jaw and a miss shaped tail, very sad that this morph is being produced when it could potentially make bad geckos!! Say hi to Merlin for me.

Whoa! That's an awesome number of geckoes! I love that you named them after GoT characters. And I finally got one yesterday! Named him Loki, he's a mack snow around a year old I think since the prev owner only said he's 4 mos old in his care but with his size at around 9 inches I read they're around 12 to 18mos old. He just shedded earlier and I havent handled him yet since I'm waiting for him to to settle down and just shed so nope hands off the merch for now. Now the Crazy thing is earlier that day I caught a sun skink with a dropped tail that looks like a victim of the neighbourhood cats with some of it's damage scales. He or she(i dunno yet) seems weak thats why I didnt have any diffs catching it, called it Sunny. And so I thought Loki was my 1st ever lizard before the year ends, well i was wrong all along! Lol! Have a great year ahead Jess, I just saw the enclo build with the other yt vloggers and it was really awesome, I hope we get to see more collabs in the future! Cheers!

my gecko is named taco. he is estimated to be 8 years old bc I got him from a rescue center for my 11th birthday. he is a wild-type and he is rather big. he is a very clumsy hunter and I have to tong feed him crickets. he's a lot like me, lazy, judgmental, curious, clumsy, and likes to eat and sleep. my boi loves to climb my arm and sit in my hoodie pocket. he has a huge preference for being held by me (he also is cool with my mom) and actually bit my ex-friend when they held him, he never bites me in a defensive way, only as a food response. he's such a good boy
Merlin would have to be named “Spock” if he were mine… Those one-in-a-million Vulcan ears are such a unique trait, and super cool.

Love all your videos❤ Question, I am moving states and it will be about a 9 hour drive, I got my leopard gecko a critter travel tote but do i need to get some sort of heater for his tote during the travel?
You can get a 48 hour hand heater but make sure it’s wrapped in something and placed outside the critter keeper. This may provide warmth but just be careful because they often get too warm and you don’t want any direct contact with a gecko. You can also just keep the car like 75 degrees the whole ride and your gecko should be fine as long as you get him back into a heated enclosure when you end your drive

Merlin was the opposite of my Leo, Lightning, who is juvenile and currently just refuses to eat mealworms.

So i got a tangerine leo named Cheeto and as of lately he hasnt shown interest in being hand fed which he normally doesnt mind but isnt always the most outgoing hes not eating his full amount of roaches and isnt losing weight yet but any tips or tricks its worry some and i love my lil buddy

I had a leopard geckos for 26 years female wild type no special morph . From a kid it was my first lizard I ever owned & she was so easy going. I now have new cal geckos. Merlin aww bless him with his Spock ears 🥰 aww you have got some lovely beautiful geckos and look after them disabled ones so well . Stuck shed I had that with my crested gecko when I got him. He was only 2 grams. He’s lost a few toes . Also he often misses bugs so I’m thinking my crested gecko Splodge has slight neurological issues 😌 have you heard of that in crested geckos ? The other crested geckos I have are not as clumsy.
I always hand feed my gecko and learned early on that their bites are nothing to be afraid of! They have the tiniest little teeth!
