Beat him 2 or 3 times. Which is funny cause often when someone meets their match or the worse style for them in the amateurs or certain sparring matches those guys try to avoid that fighter in the pros

@@sbukeli Beating AB gets your name mentioned, but to be real at this stage AB not even a real gatekeeper. So you beat up someone that never had a chance, in a boring fight (say it together - he didn't let his hands go), you gain more exposure, but have you gained credibility. The next guy up can very easily say, "so who has he beaten". Point is I am sure you watched AB's last fight. I was pulling for AB to win, wanting him to win, scoring for him to win, but to be real he lost and lost clearly. AB is not a gate keeper. To me a gate keeper is a guy you beat that says skill wise you are ready to compete at the highest level. Another non-gate keeper is Samuel Vargas. Vargas just doesn't have a skill set and may have been in too many beat downs at this point to put up a test for anyone. Delorme has more than his share of losses, but he always comes to fight and he can fight. Delorme is a legit gate keeper. JL now a gate keeper. Maybe Trout still a gatekeeper. Did I make a point?

I'm using “gatekeeper” cause that's what you called AB in your 1st post, but now you're saying “to you he's not a gatekeeper” just pointing out the obvious contradictions there, but I do agree with your point. Broner might not gain you credibility but he sure will garner you exposure and if you are a decent boxer you can worry about that credibility in your next fight. Like the guy Russell just beat, had he not faced Broner and (arguably) won, he wouldn't have gotten the Russel fight. And if he had won against Russel, he's next fight was probably going to be a big fight all due to that exposure against Broner. Exposure is just as Important.

I think the DMV still holds the most champions in one year ever. Gary Russell Sr. Did an amazing job with his sons & there gym is hard work all day. Now they also have a couple fighters coming from the Sugar ray Leonard boxing gym in Palmer Park that they team up with & those fighters are dynamic also. DMV fighters are dangerous when they train hard
