  • I know he is more speed focused but i want to point out to everyone here that this thing is an off-road beast. He mentions it briefly in the video but this truly shines off road and in hilly areas. I got mine Friday(2024-04-05) and have ridden every day as much as i can ever since. I live near Seattle where there is nothing but steep hills and all throughout this metropolis is there hidden off-road trails. I wish this video expressed more about the off road capabilities, but he is a more road focused EUC enjoyer. I cannot stress enough how much this thing does not care about climbing a hill even at low battery. There are few eucs in my opinion where you can just lean as hard as you can into a steep hill and it not feel like it might give up. This thing does not feel like it will ever drop me and still give me its fastest hill climb. Great video per usual!

  • Thanks for the review. I'm a one and done type of user, even if I haven't tried something yet. My first time ever riding a scooter was buying an Inmotion RS, the Inmotion orange, not the lame Midnight variant that is lacking. People said I was nuts, but I'm a quick learner and after a half dozen rides, I'm ready for more. Order a Momen Tricher to replace my RS. Same with an eBike, my first was a custom build 60V30Ah bomber type on MTB 19"x2" tires max speed out to 50mph, but after a dozen rides, I kinda want the extra power of a 72V, but I still want to stay in eBike class, not electric motorcycle where I'll need to register it. So, the 60V might be my only choice. I was looking at this Inmotion V14. I like the Inmotion designs and their intuitive designs and initial quality. Seems like a good start, but am I also going to want more? With your experience and understanding how I tend to grow into my PEV hobbies, what would you suggest as a one and done EUC, what would you suggest that will make me happy enough to say, yeah, this all I'll ever need. I was thinking about the Lynx but I'm not a tall person at 5' 9" with a 30" inseam, and might be better off with an 18" wheel instead? Thanks in advance to any suggestions you might have and thanks for this great review!!

    • Lynx will be fantastic. I also am a one and done kinda person. The problem is that this hobby and technology is ever evolving. Before suspension EUCs came out, people thought suspension was not needed. Now most riders would never buy an EUC without suspension. I would buy the Lynx and ride the stink out of it for a few years, until at which point the next major breakthrough in EUCs will have arrivee, and you'll be dying for an upgrade.

I do like many things about this wheel, but it’s more than I want since I ride mostly city streets and take on trains or in stores. The V14 top speed is way too much for me, I personally cap out at 55 km/h, and I'll take the safety and in Vancouver BC, the waterproofing - this is going to make a great all year commuter wheel, I was waiting for the 'good batch' after getting bitten on the batch 1 V12, my other wheel is the V10F - still a great starter / mid level wheel in my opinion. Feels like Inmotion are in it for the long haul, with (eventual) quality products - hopefully they get the next wheel right on the first batch going forward!

  • 5:04 Nope. Legal only from UL2849 pov, but still illegal no matter how much bias you put in and how much you want to push Inmotion. There are multiple reasons, the most important is missing the secondary braking system (all motor vehicles must have safety brakes) and no signal lights.

It light enough to be taken up multiple stories, small enough to fit comfortably in a car, train or bus, can go to a decent speed and battery is alright as well. Suspension is not ideal but I guess that's what the upgrade would be about. Sad to see that only high-performance, heavy euc's are all the rage now.

  • Some noteworthy things not mentioned in any review: - You cannot power the V14 on when it is on the kick-stand. - You cannot set the cut-off angle independently. This is very important for riding on single track. - Some V14 have the issue that it pulls to the right or to the left. - Not very often mentioned: V14 comes with a slow charger

  • Hsiang. On point you may have missed is that the V14 uses a standard 200mm* eye to eye chock length so you could fit a air shock in there and probably a oil shock to if you wanted. But that is perhaps not the point of this review. God video, god review and I'm for on is wishing you can waste a another16min of my life. Edit I'm unsure if it was 200mm or 150mm or perhaps 100mm but it is a standard length. Edit2: I'm going to use my old V10 for teaching a friend to ride this summer.

    @apgy3063@apgy3063Ай бұрын
    • I don't talk about range much because it varies wildly depending on how you ride a wheel. ride it hard and near its limit you'll prob only get 20 are so miles, but its the same for the ETMax or the lynx and any of the other higher voltage 16inch wheels. The v14 wasn't particularly more efficient or less as compared to the other 16inchers so I didn't really mentioned it.

    @LegitSpeedDesigns@LegitSpeedDesignsАй бұрын
    • firmware on the other wheels are also tuned much more aggressive as compared to the V14. That make those wheel more exciting but also harder to control and theoretically less "safe". Its a different philosophy and so wouldn't really make sense IMHO for you to buy a fast wheel only to limit it.

      @OWGAC@OWGACАй бұрын
    • OK buy a slow wheel and not limit it then... Got it.

      @HoangNguyen-gv2md@HoangNguyen-gv2mdАй бұрын
    • There really isn't a reason to limit a wheel. The Lynx can just be ridden slower, there's your headroom. It's not like you accidentally go 55+ and think "opps, I didn't want to go over 40" Unless your going for the thrill most people with a lynx never get it to beep, and they are still going pretty darn fast. If the V14 is basically governed you should be able to ride 40 pretty far into the discharge. I'd love to try one off road.

The only negative I have is weight, which was gladly brought up. I'm 60ish & weight IS an issue, why is the S19 able to come in at 70lbs ? I'll happily buy at a lesser weight.

  • Great review but…I get the whole obsession with having a lighter EUC, but think about what you're giving up for that. You've got two choices here: a solid, dependable ride with a robust build, coil suspension, and waterproofing for safety and stability, or a 10-15lb lighter wheel that sacrifices overall performance, safety, and durability. You can't have your cake and eat it too. In my opinion, the review should really focus on how impressive it is that this company has nailed the qualities everyone's asking for, while still providing good range and speed. This sounds like a well-balanced wheel. Maybe in future versions, they can lighten it up with different materials, but for now, it's great to see a focus on ride quality and reliability. Now, let's talk about the real deal - how much are you willing to fork out for this EUC? Because if you want to have your cake and eat it to, you've got to be ready to pay for it without complaining about it.

    @RocABye@RocAByeАй бұрын
    • You can have the cake. With a geared motor euc. Ebikes already have it

      @bobdebouwer7835@bobdebouwer7835Ай бұрын
    • And why aren’t you buying it? Prior generation of EUCs have all been made lighter than today’s current generation of wheels but when you add in the the safety, range, stability and durability people ask for you will come up with a heavier wheel. Weight ADDs to the stability of a EUC. Where do you believe most of the added weight on today’s EUCs come from? Motor or Suspension?
