I love that Millicent is finally getting the well-deserved recognition for the creature’s design!
Absolutely. She was a very beautiful woman.
I didn't realize that she had one arm but from what I saw of her pictures she was still talented
The Creature’s design remains unparalleled in its impact, largely due to the practical effects of the era. It’s a testament to creativity in constraints and still inspires monster makers today.
RIP Julie Adams. Died almost a year ago and made it to 92!
Julie was my first (Monster Movie) crush! RIP Julie!
She was also my crush the Universal’s classic Monsters
I have a signed movie poster with Richard Carlson & Julie London, signed, numbers with COA. FAVORITE MOVIE
The Creature is the best looking movie monster ever!

By far my favorite universal monster ever! I even got the figures! Rip🙏 Ben chapman and julie.👋😢you're definetly will be missed.
A gorgeous looking creature made a monster of a creature.
Creach has always been my favorite Universal Studios monster. This is a truly great mini-documentary! Thanks!
Saw Ben Chapman and Julie Adams at a monstercon in Cleveland in the early 2000s. There they were: '50s contract players who became lifelong friends and never dreamed that this mid century horror movie would be famous and as influential as it was. Their mutual respect was beyond moviemaking. I'm sure, they're still together.
I was there! My girlfriend arrived just as Ben Chapman was checking into the hotel. I whispered to her, "That's the creature from the black lagoon!" She said that that was a sentence she'd never expected to hear!
Monster Squad did a great job of paying homage to the Creature. Stan Winston blew it out of the park just like these fine folks did back in the day.
I loved the Creature theme. I made a little spoof of the old 50's sci-fi films called Bride of the Space Monster, and I created an original theme that played every time the Space Monster appeared that was totally inspired by the Creature From The Black Lagoon.
Back in the early 80's when the first home videos came out, even before I bought a vcr player I went and bought "Creature from the Black Lagoon" as my very first movie. I still have it!
I remember hanging out with the neighborhood kids and they all of their favorites. It was Dracula or Frankenstein or the Wolfman, etc. One kid really liked the Invisible Man. But it was always the Creature for me, he was my favorite. Whenever I went swimming, I always envisioned that he could be swimming under me. It kind of creeped me out a little, lol.
David Skal does a great job on the commentary and back stories of the classic universal monster movies.
Ms. Patrick was the best! Screw Westmore. Ben Chapman was a lovely person. He wrote back and forth with my young daughter a few years before he passed. She was a huge fan and he was kind to answer her questions.
In my view the most underrated monster he deserves a remake we've seen enough of the other ones give us the remake we want give us the creature
Nah the original is perfection
julie adams + one piece swimming outfit= HUBBA! HUBBA!!!!😍
A very finely tuned and well acted monster picture. The script was excellent. Cutting edge below water filming was the grandaddy of underwater photography.
Among the creatures of Universal Studios, the gillman comes in at number 4 but it's still a great movie
By the gods…..This video is a true treasure trove of information
Kay (Julie Adams) was the real hero in this. Intelligent, and she had many strong traits. David and Mark were wooden.
My favorite monster ever !
So glad I have her autograph before she passed away and have Ben's also
This movie is just so good
The movie looks great in color.
One of the greatest awesome looking creatures ever made to date. CFTBL
always loved the Creature................it was a love story.......
Turns out Bud Westmore was the real villain
The impossibly beautiful Julie Adams…
They insured her legs for 100k. She was indeed a classy beautiful woman. She was dedicated to her kids and did not live an immoral life.
Was quite the hottie when this movie was made
R.I.P Ricou Browning last universal monster.
My favorite !!
Gracias, son una verdadera joya
great movie, i saw it in 3d.
Glad I have two autograph pic from two and figures
My favorite universal monster I only collect his figures
In the world ( or universe) of the classic monster movies, no leading lady was more beautiful then the stunning Julie Addams.
The creature is the manifest of monster is wants and desires of the ID. Water is the mediam of space.
the music every time you see the Creature........you see the shark in jaws......you hear the music.....Jason.......Michael Myers...............they all had their own "music"......LOL>...
I wonder how did they record the underwater scene with type of camera back then
So how did the creature do all that swimming with the suit on? Who was it?
Ricou Browning is the swimmer turned actor who played the underwater creature.
Clint Eastwood had a small part in this movie
Women are so underrated in the classic movie monster era. They weren’t always the hot actresses.
can you buy a gill man suit?
Looking hot with that bathing suit, Julie!!💖
Did you know she's past away last year! Rip🙏julie😢
@@anibalbabilonia1867 hell yeah
Now a days the suits are made from silicone.
They saw it as a sexual / romantic / love scene. While I saw it as "prey", lol. I love this movie though.
