Saudi Arabia invests in MMA, purchases PFL ownership stake
Saudi Arabia continues its investment in sports. This time purchasing a minority stake with MMA promotion PFL.
UFC legend Randy Couture previously revealed that he would be meeting with Saudi Arabia’s royal family to help broker a deal with the PFL. A few months later, and things have been made official.
After their previous massive - and controversial - investments in golf and football, money from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund is now finding its way into mixed martial arts as well.

  • That's the solution to improve fighter pay in our sport. Fighter having somewhere else to go and get a better offer. That will put ufc on their toes.

  • I hope PFL is successful. I just don’t have much interest in them now. Bellator has a decent roster with some solid champions, but PFL just doesn’t appeal at the moment.

  • Soudi arabia doesn't care about boxing and mma I think its them not getting event there and They just buy good fights in boxing and PFL to have more event in soudi but bearly even sell out any arena only when the UFC are there. Tbh Soudi are greedy enough to get Ufc because those events are bigger then PFL just so ufc can host more on soudi and ruin the american market
