This was one of the most surreal and unique animations I’ve ever seen here on KZhead and goes beyond what a simple Mario animated parody is. The visuals are pure eye candy and everything is so strange and still wonderful and whimsical.

This video... is a masterpiece. Art that one could look at for days and still find new interpretations in. The references from bygone eras unearthed memories I haven't thought of for years. It is bittersweet to have this be your final videogame animation, but I know you will excel at whatever you pursue next. I do hope you reconsider and return to this genre in the future because you have a formula that works. And damn does it work well. But even if you don't, I look forward to your future endeavors.

My favorite part of all your animations is when a character does something that takes a lot of effort in the actual game with no effort at all. It’s even better when those bits are dead silent and animated so much more fluidly than the rest of the animation. Never change Spicevipe

However,some time after the video was made,the internet discovered the speedrun was fake through some very clear clues. Badabun,while he was speedrunning,ate pizza and drank soda,signals that he wasn't taking this seriously. Also,at a part in which badabun collected 11 coins,the coin counter strangely counts 12 or 13. Later, it was discovered that the footage was stolen from another speedrunner. Badabun later apologized,claiming that the speedrun was only for entertainment purposes. However,badabun still received backlash and negative reception. Idk if the vid is actually referring to badabun so if im wrong pls tell me the truth.

Ok I just now finished watching this and I got to say that this is generally one of the best mario related animation's I have ever seen and it is overall phenomenal.
The visuals are really good! I love that everything has a pixel-y look to it with the gradients and the lineart, and I like that at any given moment characters can switch from a crude scribble to a sublime design. Keep up the great work!
