BANDITOS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBBBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEEEEE 2 WEEKS IN A ROW! LET'S GO!
oh we back to end the year strong. trust!
@@StreetBanditoWooo! I'm ready
One of the coolest KZhead channels, such a shame you guys don't get much exposure...you deserve at least 1 million subs, no joke!
slow grind. hopefully this project can get us the bump needed 🙏🏽
@@StreetBanditomore collabs with scraplife definitely helps, love seeing you guys work together.
maybe then we'd regular videos and an actually complete a project
Are you guys going to put in a lsd diff in the tesla unit? They are available for it, ATB has one for it.
This is sick. im so glad you guys are posting again. I wish i could slap the algorithm gods to give you guys way more traction!
aye we do it for the love of car content and building. happy you hear for the journey 🙏🏽
I'm sooooo excited about this project!! Tesla swaps are the coolest and I'd watch anything you guys build.
Let's get itttttt!!!!!
yeaaaaa buddy!!!!!
that lower control arm looks like its gonna have so much flex in it.
That cage builder is an absolute artist.
Yeeeaaah buddddyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
light weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Profusively yelling)
OG's Assemble!
@@NeverLetOff Squaaaaaaaad UP!!!!!!
Rollin’ like a big shot 🎶
Josh's tip regarding drilling a hole in the mounting plate for the last tube in the cage was awesome! Never heard anyone else bring that up before as a potential pitfall. This is one reason why I love this channel. Another is the quality of the end result. Stellar work one and all. Thank you!
Ive been saving all your videos up so i can watch the whole lot without having to wait. Time to start
Love that tip on the stick wax. Not sure how to apply but I'll do the research!
Glad you guys are back, I am praying you don't disappear for months again in the middle of this build. Always support the channel but you have started and stopped so often it's hard to follow. Keep up the awesome content, you guys should be way bigger.
Josh killed it on the cage and those control arms🔥Can’t wait for the next episode 💪🏽
Love the commentary and tips from Josh. Always appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed! i learned a couple things myself lol.
I always give you guys all my love in my comments, and I still do! The ideas, fabrication and production quality you put out is off the charts, top notch! With this episode though, I would like to send out my appreciation to Josh, who is an absolute, world class, welder/fabricator. There's a handful of cage builders I can name, but Josh's work is sublime!!!! LOVE IT!
glad to see you guys back on the grind. will be watching all of these.
Awesome stuff as always, please don’t let us wait 6 weeks again for some content again, best channel on KZhead
Love the way this is shaping up! Love a build that incorporates old and new.
So glad you all are releasing videos again! One of my favorite channels fs. Tim is a genius and Xavier is the man.
Good to aee y'all are back! Looking forward to watching the new build progress.
Good work guys. Excited about the new build!
Josh is a hell of a fabricator props to him 🤙🏻
one of the best for sure
@4:35 Dang you guys were literally down the street from me.
holy cow that cage looks so good!
josh the welding wizard
I'm assuming using one of the model 3 or Y's motors would be easier since they are smaller and wouldn't need to modify the frame rail.
Dunno why ya'll don't have more subs you and the crazy fiberglassing ausie guy are the best car channels for all the great custom work you do and show. Josh did an amazing job on that cage work and reinforment.
Love you guys! Doing the stuff I'm can only dream of at the moment but your builds are exactly what I would do/want which. Keep it up you guys are awesome!
appreciate that 🫡🙏🏽🙏🏽
So glad you guys are posting again and love the Z content. I think you should just call this the "eZ" from now on. Keep up the incredible work and inspiration for the rest of us.
Good to watch you guys creating again
and we happy to be back. missed the community.
Bravo, I was just thinking how awesome this would be and bam you guys deliver.
haha as always. we back baby!
Away a pleasure to watch your builds Good work as usual
Much appreciated 🖤
Terrific build!
thank you!
Great project. Keep it up.
Awesome detail 🤟🤟💖
This was my dream. I missed out on a driving, excellent body 240z for only $1200... I still kick myself every time I think about it. It is definitely one of my dream cars and I will get one someday. Plus doing an electric conversion on any vehicle is also a dream of mine so seeing the two here is wonderful. Can't wait to see how this series goes.
Right on! hope one day you get to drive one 🖤
I’ve been here since the bmw roundie. Glad to see cool projects again.
You have my attention! (from Australia)
I like how the door bars are on your carbon 240, would have thought you were going the same way on this one as well.
Cool project!
Awesome build
Thanks!
Tim H - Builder Xavier - Phil Mur Hyped to see yall
Josh - Fab Daddy
lmao new names incoming
Optrel helmets are the top of the top, can’t recommend them to enough people!
I was a little skeptical on the first vid of another Tesla swap anything considering how awesome the other stuff SB has built. This though has changed my mind. Also for someone who doesn't do roll cages that is a bloody fantastic job mate. Kudos.
haha glad you have faith now. just wait till you see all the carbon fiber that’s about to come 👨🏽🔬
Are you guys going to put in a lsd diff in the tesla unit? They are available for it, ATB has one for it.
Because (1) Teslas are the best selling cars, (2) Insurance companies declare Teslas "totaled" with relatively little damage, and (3) there are very few EV repair shops; we will see a flood of Tesla drivetrains available for conversions/kit cars/one-offs/racecars over the next 5-10 years. It's fascinating. These guys, EV West, Rich Rebuilds, Electric Classic Cars, etc. (plus the guys who don't make videos LOL) are leading the way.
Is the drive of the electric motor centered with the wheel well ? 🤔
Sick project! I wish Docol R8 tubing was more available. I find it so much better to work with rather then 4130
Keep it upppppp❤
You can also make the 2010 or 1970 Dodge Challenger with a Tesla model 3 or S chassis, it will also be very cool Dodge Challenger electric EV
Do these drive units need to be laid flat (w/ the diff and motor horizontal to each other), or can they be rotated? Feels like a kinda fun/funky solution to the frame rail/suspension arm issues would be to basically rotate the whole thing 120 degrees forward w.r.t. the diff (CCW if looking at the vehicle's left side) so that the motor/inverter could sit just ahead of the strut towers (basically on the shelf where the HV wires are at 22:10). Other than CoG getting raised up a bit (probably a fine trade off, given that the polar moment would go down a bit by pulling the mass inward), what would the downsides be?
Rotating it is probably problematic considering the diff/gearbox fluid. Fill levels, drain plugs etc. not being where they are supposed to be at minimum, issues with the splash lubrication at worst. I still find it hard to believe that they can't get a more normal control arm done, relocating the rear LCA mounting point forward a bit and the drive unit back a bit (with still acceptable driveshaft angles).
Thinking them control arms be needing bracing a bit! Good if you's could get the batteries under the floor!
Y’all should call is the 240E-Z
this is so fucking cool guys! love these! see you soon!🖤
vegas here we come!
Daaaaaamn guys !!! You are wizzards!!! Fucking loooove these videos breakdowns. Thank you so much ❤
hell yea! glad you enjoy it and thank you for supporting 🙏🏽
STOKED on this project! I converted a '77 280Z to electric 4 years ago and have been daily driving it since. I discovered your channel when I was working on that build and you were building the original carbon Z. I took the less challenging conversion route, and mated a motor to the stock transmission. Thinking about redoing it with a Tesla motor soon for more power, do you guys have a 3D scan of the stock S30 rear suspension and subframe? Or did you just cut it up and figure it out live?
cut and figure it out as we went along lol
What a beautiful thing to make.
It really is!
I missed you guys
ayeee well we back 🫡
For some reason even though I have an excellent Wi-Fi connection . The video keeps stopping 🤔
After vacancy, Work! Let's go!!!!
yea boiiiii!!!
Can you do a video on the production of the videos, Where you get animations and such? I love the quality. (Or you can just let me know the camera settings and filters lol)
haha one day i don’t see why not lol. glad you enjoy 🙏🏽🖤
With all this work, I hope you're putting at least a plaid motor in there or something faster.
A single tesla ldu of the right year can put out up to 650-700hp with the right pack and controller for it. Bisimoto widebody ev swapped 935 Porsche from pre pandemic did 2.0s flat 0-60mph with 1 tesla ldu&aem parts on the st&st tires on it. 👍🏻
A channel I like.
hell yea! glad you enjoy.
where your glasses while working in the bench wire-wheel bruh.
Id love to do a 300ZX one day its my favorite car as far as looks go
the lower controll arms look like they might have a lot of flex in them. imo i would have designed a trailing arm style setup like
I really wanna do this on my r58
can we not call it electric Z and just call it E-Zee ?
😂 hmmm might be on to something. need to make a list of all these names
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETO!
howdeeeeeeto
Why not use an inverter relocation kit and tuck it into the tunnel ?
F1 hot rod 22:40 with s2000 turbo and big tires on all 4 maybe
Comment for algo. Amazing content, keep doing you, i enjoy you a lot.
I appreciate that!
mmmmhmmmm. the banditos have made friday even better.
ayeeee glad we could help lol
Just dropping a comment to hopefully help build momentum
📈 haha thanks 🙏🏽
Honestly, i'm wondering if it weren't better to just single arm the rear suspension with a boxed double arm. Kinda like how single arm motorcycles do it (custom ones).
Is it only me or does it look like relocating the mounting point of the LCA forward a bit would have been possible and a much neater solution?
Just added
Song name at the beginning?
Yes!, was about to ask the same question.
to be honest idk lol.
@@StreetBanditonoooooo 😂
I didn’t realize tesla motors were so huge
Yay, more Z content!
good amount of it will be posting as we embark that SEMA journey
Lets gooooooooo
🕺🏽🕺🏽🕺🏽
I think the Turbo seals are gone in your X5, because it's blowing a tonne of black smoke....
⚡️⚡️⚡️
Congratulations, you have made a ,,,,,,,,,, Corvair. I really like the guys who explain while doing the work. I am not a fan of a guy telling me what he is going to do and then standing there reviewing what he did. It is the work, man. Watch Bad Chad or Rat Rod Bob.
Pleas make dual Tesla motor so it could be all wheel drive
can’t lie that would be insane but no space lol
Video idea. Carbon colors. I see high end cars with greens and reds in the carbon. How why and how expensive? Real carbon? Lots of questions to be answered with this one.
we may touch base on this one day in the future
GOD DID!
you should look into Axialflux instead of that big bulky Tesla motor
Ill come back in 2030 to see the end result😉
lol danggggg the doubt 😂
You should definitely call this project the E/Z, cause its electric and obviously very easy 😂
lmao we might have to with the amount of request 😂
You got a subscribe 🤟🤟🦦🎏☯️
Dude straight up I don't know if this bud is this great with this video or what. I yell you though the commentary of every little detail of the cage and motor mounting while retaining and OE area. I've been waiting for the f1 deuce
WHAT ABOUT THE FORD ????????????

Squinting while using a high speed wire wheel does not = eye protection ...
dang for real, since when?
'Promosm' 🤣
like 12
Wish you spent more time showing the motor mounting and related stuff and less on welding , cutting and flashy steel.
Opening scene. Who is the idiot on the belt sander with no eye protection?
Love this idea, feel like you coulda gone a more lux route, skipped the cage and to keep it more streetable. But not my car, and it will no doubt be awesome when done
Fire emoji. Fire emoji. Fire emoji. Fire emoji. Fire emoji.
we need some bonus b-roll of the S2000 next viddy plz
lol ohhh kay i guess i can get some clips 🙄
