Resisting isn't a reason to shoot someone, they have training and tasers and other sorts of things to deal with those situations instead of jumping directly to killing someone. Nice assumption though, pal.

    • Impersonating an officer and threatening to shoot people are both serious felonies, not to mention it puts genuine fear in people who encounter police in the future. Not just the victims they “pulled over”, but everyone! Knowing that random people can get lights and sirens installed (though that alone is illegal) could make many people afraid that they’ll be targeted by imposters next. They thought this was just some fun night out, and played it off like it was just a “prank”, but in all seriousness they were terrorizing random people with threats of violence. I sincerely hope they’re put away until they genuinely regret their decisions and understand the impact they had on their victims… plus 15 years for the outstanding warrants.

    @tanyaerskine7657@tanyaerskine7657 Жыл бұрын
    • When someone is stubborn enough about insisting a lie is true, people will often get exhausted and just give up and stop arguing, and to these types of people, that counts as winning. This happens a lot more with women than men, because a lot of people would be uncomfortable confronting a woman and would just leave instead. When that gets reinforced your whole life, eventually you see it as a valid strategy. The interrogation room is one place that it definitely wont work...

      @N8Dulcimer@N8Dulcimer9 ай бұрын
    • @@tanyaerskine7657 I would say that while it does happen with men as well, when men tell bald faced lies to other men, their is a chance that if they call you on your bullshit, it may amount to a punch in the face. For this reason men who stubbornly cling to nonsensical lies usually do it to women, whereeas women feel more emboldened to direct that stubbornness at any person, since theyve never been socked for it. The whole 'women feel bolder about being scumbags because no one punches them for it' sort of applies to a lot of things in my opinion lol.

She started speaking quicker, and restating a bunch of things she's already said, to try to keep them around to listen, because she knows she hasn't convinced them yet that she wasn't involved. It's hard to give off a vibe of "I don't care", when you start getting more desperate at the first hint of your only path being taken away from you.

    • I think probably their intent was rightly a big factor in the punishment. Some of the people in the other car did in fact know that it was a prank on the uncle. They weren't dressed up as officers and trying to con people out of money or whatever. I mean u can tell by the way she's talking she wasn't exactly taking it seriously. Yes it was really really stupid and she probably deserved actual jail time for it. But have you been in any jails lately? I got locked up for driving on suspended license about 5 years back and had to serve 3 days. As Christ as my witness me and about 5 more guys they gave us a big cardboard box to sleep on cuz there were no mattresses left and we were locked up in a little visitation room where the phones are to talk to people because there were no cells. We had no bathroom no water fountain nothing but a sheet and a cardboard box. It was full to the brim people being locked up over stupid shyte like driving on a suspended license. Then u have to start letting people out on probation when you run out of closets to stick them in. *THAT'S* the problem with our criminal justice system. Naive ignorant people thinking that the threat of a year in jail is gonna stop these people from doing these are usually not criminals and don't understand how their mind works and thusly have no idea what they are talking about and only compound the problems. We have a higher incarceration rate than anywhere else in the world. We lock up more people per Capita than the bottom 150 countries combined. Weird how it hasn't even made the slightest dent in the crime rate. Spent trillions on this "war on drugs" locking up people and where has it gotten us? 23% more of our population hooked on drugs than when it started. Locking people up changes nothing. But some people will never learn that despite a century of data and study after study after study that says otherwise. Take a look at Spain if you want to *actually* help criminals and drug users. If not just keep doing what you're doing.
