Kristy Patterson is a third-generation Oklahoma Panhandle local, working and teaching in one of the state's most diverse cities, Guymon -- a surprising fact for those who equate the panhandle with plains and Dust Bowl stories. In 2020, Oklahoma Living magazine awarded her the "best art teacher" in the state. And OETA Gallery America host Robert Reid caught up with her to find out about her artwork (made from old dictionary pages) and art in the panhandle.
