I mean, the whole point of As Nodt is that he uses his fear to fuck with people's battle instincts, and strength in spirit form is influenced by focus, and Mask de Masculine has stupidly huge physical prowess. Plus, he trained to "beat Aizen" but I've always doubted he got there

The unfortunate thing for all who trained in the soul society was that the quincy had front row seats to it due to existing in the shadows. The only ones who were the exception, were those who's bankai's hadn't been shown in the past 100+ years i.e. vizords, kisuske, shunsui or (spoilers: ●●●●●●) those who trained outside of soul society had a better chance.

Being strong is always relative, you may be strong compared to some, and weak compared to others..Just Remeber these opponents -you blame Renji for being weak against - were able to beat Captains, so in a word this statement of " Renji is still weak after 17 months" just doesn't make sense ..

Many people seem to miss an important fact stated in both the anime and manga. Well two important facts: Akon stating each Sternritter is at least captain lv or greater Byakua and Shunsui admit the Sternritter are too powerful of enemies to only use shikai on. Bankai is needed to contend with them

It's funny how nobody seems to bash Rukia for all dumbassery she's been doing throughout the series. The one that shows her to be completely incompetent even as a lieutenant. But everyone seems to bash Renji just because he constantly gets matched agains enemies too strong even for majority of captains to handle.
