    • What a great idea to help with professional language., You pronounced the word often with the t. It is spoken that way by Canadians and those who might have been near our border,. For the rest of us, the letter t is silent. Other words the t is silent are: often, soften, softening, and listen. However, the word soft ids spoke with the t. English is a Rey difficult language. Keep up the good work. Have you noticed the trend of people using I, incorrectly. It is used correctly in this sentence: Tom and I went to the movies. It is used incorrectly in this sentence: Mary went to the movies with Tom and I. The secret is to look for the preposition - with, for , to from, etc. Or an easier way is Mary went to the movies with me. You would not use with I, it sound terrible, so if you teach people to stop and see if it is me or I. This error has become ubiquitous, and it is very professional to use the proper pronoun. To someone who knows the difference it is like a fingernail scratching of a slate chalkboard.. That is a phrase that shows my age. Keep up the good work!

  • Great ten words! One more important word to use in critical situations is “interesting”. It is especially used to describe a question that you don’t have a ready answer to it, instead of negatively saying “I don’t know”.
