We also touch on:
- How AI will reshape social norms and structures
- Technology's role in enhancing political polarization and misinformation
- Imagining societal structures beyond traditional capitalism
- Moral considerations in rapid technology adoption
- Emerging impacts of quantum computing on technology

Brace yourself as we explore these realms and the implications they hold for our future.
Chapter Markers:
[0:00] Psychological and societal impacts of AI
[45:40] The dangers of AI
[1:35:19] Is immortality closer than we think?
[2:09:52] How to adapt or die
[2:36:30] Change your life forever
[3:21:51] Are we in a simulation?
Powerful Insights From Peter Diamandis:
"I believe without question, the two biggest business markets on the planet are AI and longevity."
“My whole mission on extending the healthy lifespan is about making time more abundant for people.”
"I think longevity is one of the largest business opportunities that's gonna materialize over the decade ahead.”
"On the flip side of AGI, we do have abundance defined as access to all the food, water, energy, healthcare education that you want."
"And for those who say, oh my God, slow down. I don't want to see it. I like the way it is right now. You know, I hate to say this. There, there's no velocity knob on this technological world. There's no on off switch. It is moving at lightning speed."
“I think it's going to become, I think we have a divisiveness coming, and people are playing full out and it's no longer gentlemanly politics, and part of this is a post-truth economy where you can't tell whether something is truthful or not.”

    • Question, can our debt society continue? If so, at what costs? To whobpays for the indebtness? Will the future generation pay? Who benefits for this indebtness? Will America be able to create tjnue to "take" from the rest of the world? TOM YOUR THEORIES ARE ALL BASED ON TAKING FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD. Will the rest of the world accept your old world order waybof thinking? Tom and manynofbyour guests, are Masters of the old World Order. Can you conceive a World where you andbyour wealthy (successful) guests can function ? Losing most or ALL of your wealth? Losing your assets? We do not know what the the new world order will look like. Civil unrest "may" or "could" result to Bolshevik revolution? Or socialist revolt? Or where wealth is taken.... we could continue with capitalist society? Carry forward to a two tier system. Where wealthy individuals protect their wealth and have poor people work for less? This videobis 3 hours long. The good questions are not being asked.... I will stop at 20 mins. Again. TOM, Protectionism gets tiredsome

Telling people, who, like Elon, is irresponsibly ignorant of the natural world, encourages people to believe they can have as many children as they want, when in fact, we should be encouraging birthing 3 children or less.

Learn how to grow food, regenerate our soil, learn how to preserve food, process medicinal herbs etc etc blah blah blah... The problem that people in the virtual world have is they take the physical world for granted. They assume food magically appears on the press of a button and there is an ample supply of energy. Here is news for you, this is not the case.Look at Ukraine and how that country got wrecked in only a few years. The status quo is under threat, today more than ever before.

Cell phones and smartphones were extremely expensive at first which means that only people who had a lot of money would buy them or else people who are willing to throw all the money they had at them. However later on will then now these things are like $70 a piece that can do what only NASA level computers could do back in the late 60s early 70s and they fit in your pocket. Anything having to do with genetic technology will probably have a price performance acceleration greater than computer technologies had in the past so therefore you're right it will start off very expensive but the price will probably come down fairly rapidly we just don't know whether or not it's going to start off at 10 million dollars to have regenerative technology work on your body at first and then go down to like $50 in a decade or whether it's going to be two decades or even a half a decade... • Living at lightning speed is not synonymous with progress. In fact, it often leads us away from the essence of living a meaningful life. Life is a delicate tapestry of moments meant to be savored and cherished, not rushed through in pursuit of the next big thing. By neglecting the beauty of simplicity, we risk losing touch with our humanity. Technological innovations hold the potential to enhance our quality of life, offering solutions that ease burdens and open new possibilities. Yet, an unbridled push towards transhumanism threatens the core of what it means to be human. The perspectives of certain tech titans, who prioritize speed and efficiency over the natural course of evolution, may ultimately erode the very essence of our existence. Embracing the natural pace of life allows us to appreciate its wonders and complexities. It grants us the space to reflect, connect, and grow as individuals and as a society. By honoring the natural evolution of life, we can preserve our humanity and continue to thrive in harmony with the world around us. Let us not forget that the journey itself holds as much value as the destination.

  • I am starting to get a bit concerned about the AI-robotic future; not because it will go evil/rogue and kill everyone, but that it will just simply replace workers. I appreciate in previous similar revolutions, people could be re-trained. No longer making buggy whips, but now you can make cars. Ultimately good. However, whatever people could now be retrained into, the AI will already be better at. So a vanishingly small number of people will control ever increasing portions of the economy. The already vast difference between the haves and the have-nots will become even greater. There will definitely be a great number of great things that can be done by AI. There will be definite benefits in health, energy, efficiency, etc., but who will ultimately benefit from that is not clear. If we go to a "star trek" utopia where money is no longer an issue because everyone can have whatever they want, then great. But if the current trend of those with power and control always taking more power and control, then there will be a few in utopia, and many in the ditches. How people will maintain themselves and strive for a place in this unfolding evolution is not evident.

Do something you care about with your time; anything you want. Are you familiar with the material gains of the average human being made within the last 20 years, 50 years, 100 years? There is greater wealth in so many more humans in many multiples of any time in the history of human civilization. And especially amongst the poorest humans. The prescient issue is not one of materialism but that of psychologism/spiritualism.

OK, but where's the VALUE? producing tangible goods? nope. growing food? nope. increasing efficiency? absolutely not. glorified video games are the ultimate waste of time... not sure how/why you believe this qualifies as "progress" or anything else... BTW, AI is a nothingburger... just like all tech "revolutions". AI cheerleaders are the same people trying to sell their Teslas while memoryhole-ing the EV "revolution"... LULZ.
