Easter Jeep Safari 2010. Taking my Willys MB on the Moab Rim Trail. I did this last year with my JK so I let my buddy the "Troublemaker" from Illinois have a little fun. Only the V8 engined Jeeps made it to the top of the Sand Dune at max throttle. The MB did it at half power!! Go to www.jeepingoffroad.com for the Willys build up and more Jeeping adventures.
I can't recall ever seeing a jeep tackle moab in such a calm cool effort .
That is absolutely the most beautiful Jeep I’ve ever laid eyes on
Thank you
I wish they still had the windshield fold down like these. So sweet to see you crawling in the grandfather of them all.
Jesus! That thing is absolutely beautiful!
That jeep is awesome. And that spotter.... other people on youtube would kill for someone that's actually good like him.
That is 100% the most badass Jeep on the entire planet.
Damn your jeep looks awesome! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
That is the nicest willys I have ever seen. Nice job man
Beautiful Jeep !!
the best part about your video other than the sweet willys is that you didnt ruin it with shitty music. THANK YOU
Very nice set up. Hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.
Definitely one of the nicest willys ever.
One of the coolest Jeeps ever
This is the most badass jeep ive ever seen.
Love it, man! Nice rig!
Wow... those things go anywhere...!!
Your jeep sound beastie like the whole setup good job
That's a sweeeeeet Willys that you've got there!! Looks like it performs well, and that you definitely know how to drive it!! Nice video!
wow! I clicked on the vid because I noticed rigth away it´s the jeep I´ve got as wallpaper on my lap top. Dude, your car is KICK ASS! congrats.
Very well done truck!
great vid! Super Great JEEP!
Fantastic video with some great footage. That Willys is seriously impressive. Scott
Thanks, she has been a great Jeep, still going strong.
2:47 climbing the hill with the windshield folded down - beautiful.

That willy looks badass
thats a one hell of a good looking car!!!
Awesome Jeep...nice vid as well.
That is one Cool Jeep
I usually hate when people modify the WB's or GPW's but this is so sick that I'll let it slide lol Great lookin rig!
Wow its a beast
love it great vid.
Excelente vídeo 4x4
that jeep looks like it can crawl over anything
Wow, that is a sweet build! Now I’m off to check out your web page!
Well, I did decide on my next rig and just bought it about 4 months ago. Got a 2000 TJ with 80K, 6" lift, 1" body w/ 35's all setup and for one hell of a price. Now maybe I can make it out there and do some crawling with ya so you can show me up...LOL
I wish my TJ's windshield would fold down as easily!
Nice lockers
That is a badass Jeep!!!
awesome jeep!!
What suspention set are you using? Awesome Willys!
@madbritwillys56 I have been in love with your tub for months. Your Willis is my by far favorite to watch. Everything you encounter seems effortless, I am amazed at the performance of that older machine, it is fantastic from where I sit. Keep crawling.
greetings from Indonesia. bravo willys...
dude nice ride man!!
Very nice jeep. What is the width wms to wms of the axles?
How much total did you spend for the modification ?
love the mb is the engine stock?
Nice ride. And very nice scenery
now that is just a beautiful thing
Nice rig. What are you running for the drivetrain(eng, trans, axles, tire size)?
Good job !
You can always rent a jeep in Moab and check them out before buying. They have some decent Rubicons with 33s and lockers at both ends. There are so many rigs to check out though you go a little crazy
The little epic jeep that could
Nice jeep
A very simple set up. Springs are 4" lift Jeep Wrangler axles purchased from Currie Enterprises. The springs are spring under which gives phenomenal off camber ability.
awesome fking Jeep! with good performance and awesome great look!
What axles and tires on the willys?
International Scout Dana 44s/ Detroit Lockers in both. The front axle has Ford 150 outers.
Last year was my first Safari with the Willys but I have been to Moab many times with my TJ and JK. The Willys performed far better than both and was a hundred times more enjoyable to drive and see the Canyonlands in.
Man, it's a very nice Jeep! what engine and gearbox do you use on your "CJ"?
nice jeep
Thanks for the compliment. I have a Hemi JK and a well equipped TJ but they pale in comparison to the old Willys. In fact I have both up for sale because they are just not as much fun as the Willys although the ride to the trail head can be a bit of an adrenalin rush.
That is one bad Jeep!
That's called a spotter he's there to prevent you from damaging your vehicle/yourself and also to assist you in conquering the terrain with ease. The spotter is usually a friend it's no big deal.
The Wrangler windshields still do fold down, it's just more involved than before.
Incredible Jeep you built here! Definitely makes me want a flat fender. Do you use it as just a trail rig or do you drive it daily or what?
hey thats my dad in the blue cherokee at 0:37!
i want to buy this jeep how much is the coast. let me know
Is that stock axle or wider
Hello, Could you inform me the distance between the wheels?? Want to do something similar in my. Thanks
What is your drivetrain? Awesome MB.
thats pretty bad ass.
whats ur gearing ratio in that bad boy?
i like this jeep
coolest car ever :)
That things looks like it would be a swamp monster
You know what else takes the fun out of off roading? Flipping and or damaging your vehicle and thus not being able to complete the whole trail. When you travel on highly difficult to conquer terrain you need a spotter to ensure you're making the right move
what frame is your jeep sitting on????
Love the video and your monster Willlys I re-watch this view every few months. sharing one from our club called "flying willys" 1946 Willys CJ2A Dauntless v6: Flying Flatty at Ma and Pa Rockers Off-road Park
is the engine in your mb stock?
What axles is this Jeep running?
I got your point, no need to make it again. Once again nice Jeep
Do you have hydro on that thing? You are turning the wheel with one finger!
@dgbsco I have a JK Unlimited that's up for sale. It's too big, too heavy and the visibilty is horrendous. So bad you need a spotter for just about every obstacle. Just got to love the Willys where you sit up high and can always see 3 tires.
that is one awesome jeep, did you weld the diffs or did you make/purchase custom locking option
Detroits front and rear in Dana 44's
@truedeadman Thanks, running a Chevy 4.3 Vortec, TH350 auto trans, Intl Scout Dana 20 with 3:15-1 gearset, Dana 44s with 5:13 gears, 37" Boggers.
Es imprecionante
@marclmercier It's a Chevy 4.3L V6 out of a 1998 Blazer with a TH350 auto trans and a D20 x-case out of an Int'l Harvester Scout
awsome love old jeeps , i have the last leaf sprung jeep ever made ,if someone gave me a jk i would sell it to the first person who wanted it !!!!
nice willy's i have a 48 cj2a im working on
@Willys1948CJ2A - They did a pretty decent job on the rocks but lousy on the highway. The Willys is mostly used in the midwest where the Boggers are the only way to go. I would have preferred something much less aggressive for Moab but I used what I had.
Sweet
this is what i want my cj5 to look like.
Isso é brincadeira de criança ! Pôr isso eu jamais vou deixar de ser criança.
Nice rigs. Where did you source your D44's that are under your willys?
I used International Scout axles but remember I started building in the late 90s. If I were to do over I would probably use Jeep D44s. My complete specification sheet is on my web site at www.jeepingoffroad.com/willys-mb-build-up/specifications/index.html
madbritwillys56 Thanks for the reply!
@93jeepwrangler1 Thank you, that is a great compliment
@pugdude14 He picked a mighty fine choice in trails
I just purchased a 1942 Ford Jeep and am interested in knowing what you did as I'd like to at some point in the very near future start modifying mine. Thanks!
Good decision, you will have a lot of fun with it. My complete specification sheet is on my web site at www.jeepingoffroad.com/willys-mb-build-up/specifications/index.html
ive never seen boggers hook up that well on rocks
I personally believe a willys should be kept stock, c'mon it's a classic icon.
@tpvalley Each to his own!
