Adas Aiming- Just to let you know, SiriusXM radio is alive and kicking in 2023. Just listened to it earlier today in fact. It is not an "obsolete service." Also, some of us still have physical CD collections as well, even though I also listen to the main music streaming services, such as Qobuz, Deezer, Spotify, etc. But you made a good video overall.
Great video. Very clear communication. My 2013 CL550 saying device unavailable, but FM does glitch on periodically. Im thinking Satellite XM is the issue. This car was involved in flood damage. I probably can invest in a jumper. Thank you for a great video

Beware of the BLACK DUST OF DEATH that forms on the circuit boards from the small cooling fan! Blow out the dust with compressed air and use a hair blow dryer to warm the board and get rid of any moisture the compressed air may have had! To do it remove the amp and remove the cover with the fan, its fairly easy. It will save you $1000!

I bought a 2012 s550 4matic from auction and man, a lot of components were stolen including the amp, tuner, etc. When I try to work on it, center dashboard control buttons for AC don’t work, also the ambient light along the front dashboard trim, both driver & passenger side footwell lights don’t work when I open the door. My headlight switch, hazard button don’t work as well. Any help?
Hello can you tell me which state you are located in, because I really could use your help right now.. I have a 2011 Mercedes Benz s550 w221 and im 100% having this exact same problem with my car.. Water got in my trunk also.. I sent my items out for repairs and when I plug them back in I still get no sound.. Does that me I need some kind of reprogramming like you did..Please help..

I am having the issue where water got inside and I think that unit went out, but my COMAND turns on and literally a second after it reboots and it keeps doing that, but if I unplug the XM unit it stops rebooting but there’s no sound, I bought a new one and plugged it in and nothing happens, any info would help, thank you! 🙌🏻

Hello - I have a 2008 CL65 that wasn't playing audio. I had the amplifier rebuilt which seemed to fix the issue. Now, intermittently, all sound goes dead except in one of the speakers in the driver side door or the left side of the dash, with heavy static over the signal. The volume doesn't change with the volume control until it's all the way down, in which case all sound disappears. I had the amplifier serviced again under warranty, which seemed to fix the problem, until it returned again today two weeks later. Any ideas on how to track this down would be greatly appreciated.
hello after starting my w221, i have no sound and channels. you would think that the amplifier is broken but once I take the MOST on the amp in and out everything works perfectly. as soon as i turn off the car and same problem again. last week i fiddled with the plugs and everything worked as it should for 4 days. then same problem again. what could be the cause? I have this problem for a long time and the amplifier was already repaired a year ago I saw

I have the exact same issue....where are you located and I could possibly bring my car to you? I have replaced the amp and the HD receiver both, it works intermittently now. It'll play then give the message "Device not available". I'll power it off...it comes on and then right back off. Can you help????

Thanks for the tips Got something really odd on my HK audio system. All the modules seems to be recognised but I only have sounds on sat/sirius. Radio cannot find frequency and no sound on cd/usb/bluetooth. Will try to bypass all the module one by one.
How did it go? I’m going to do it today
Still investigating, seems there there is bad connection in the Headunit since everything worked at à point
Hey whats up man great video keep up the good work..i have a question i have a 2012 cls550 the rear of the car from the doors to the back shelf lost audio the front is louder and has more bass..when you start to out the fader to the back the rear gets low..when the fader is the the middle the whole rear is still low( most of the bass coming from the front) the changed the both amplifiers the command and sub and the dame thing only one time i got a code that says open circuit amplifier the fuses are ok the code never came back..took it to the dealership and they daid tbey see no code but they didnt take the time to investigate...the inky thing i remember is sometimes it used to sound like the subwoofer a sound like a blown speraker but the sound goes away and it rarely happens could it be the agw but no codes or the radio itslef(screen not working properly channels i dont really know much about that) not sure why that open circuit came before and how to trace it down...any ideas..its jus the rear doors and rear shelf that is low..I dont think all the speakers went bad at once the rear
Can it be a loose wire by agw?
Hi, I would have to test each of the speakers in the rear system take a voltmeter and check the resistance usually speakers are either eight or four ohms. If you don't have a O'Meara
If you don't have a voltmeter you can try disconnecting one speaker at a time and see if anything changes
@@adasaimingbyjackshort2123 i had brought it to a place to get it check they said that the sub is blown...but it makes no sense beacuse the door speakers are also low i think the sub is working you can hear it when you start to bring the fader back to the front when the fader is all the way to the back)i also relaize when i disconected the subwoofer amp i didnt hear a difference in the audio when the music was playing when i installed another sub amp same thing no difference in audio(i also change the big amp same thing)...can a bad sub cause the whole rear to be low including the door speakers..also i have a blown cigarette fuse which is right by the amplifier fuses can that cause a problem..thanks for your help im really fustrated with this one last thing the dealer saw no codes can the agw be bad but give no codes.(only had open circuit code once for amp in the trunk which I changed) also my fuses are good

Test to see which component is bad using a fiber optic loop you can buy on Amazon for $14. Buy the one that says its already trimmed and ready to use this is the best one to get. Next unplug each unit in the MOST system one by one and put the loop in its place. When you add a loop to one of the components and things start to work again this will tell you that was the component that needs to be changed. In my case it was the tuner/amplifier because when I added the test loop there suddenly I was able to connect to my phone even though there still was no sound. I replace the amp with one that had the same exact part number and model number and was only produced 3 weeks after my original unit. It went in with no coding needed! You will need to see which component your car will need by simply testing in this manner. Good luck with yours!

@@danieleferrari8412 The amp in my case was the bad component. My year and model Mercedes sound system has the Radio Tuner and audio amplifier built together. It looks like a power amplifier but it also has the radio tuner built inside. So when this one craps out the main screen in the center of your dashboard will not display the radio stations when set to FM. But always be sure to check the power fuse to the amp. Because if the radio isnt working and it says Tuner Not Available and you have a blown fuse and replace it maybe but just maybe by some miracle it may all start working again. Right now I have my 2nd amplifier being repaired at Becker Autosound in New Jersey. If you send them your Tuner/amp they can repair it for $625 plus shipping. Or you can pay $800 right now on eBay and get a working unit for your can now and return the bad one for a core credit. Personally I think they are a good choice since they will give you a full one year warranty! You wont get that from buying a used unit on eBay. I have a 2009 s63 AMG & started having radio issues. When I start up the car, everything comes on but the radio won't let me change any stations & it doesn't show any stations on the screen. The navigation always resets to zoomed all the way out. It won't let me connect my phone to the system & no sound comes out. I bought the fiber-optic loop & tried it on the XM box, the voice command box & the amp. No sound still & still no radio functions or anything. My phone started to connect to the car again but that was when the fiber optic loop was plugged into the amp. Also I noticed the CD changer won't read any disks either. I also did a scan of the whole car with a buddies code reader & it says the MOST ring loop is stuck open at component 4? I'm stuck now & don't know where to go from here? Anyone know what component 4 is on my vehicle? I think it's the CD changer that's bad but part of me thinks it could be the amp also?

@THE URBAN ARTIST nope I haven't. I don't drive the vehicle during winter so it's been parked away but I did just get it out the other day & it's still doing it 🙄
