    • in general, these statements about laziness annoy me. like... laziness does not exist. there is no knowing what to do with life, there are disorders that prevent you from moving on, such as depression and others. these "super motivations" can simply drive a person into a worse state. who will be to blame? no one, because this blogger said "your problems are not mine". what's the point of teaching someone how to live if you can't take responsibility for your words?

    • @@user-ey4xw1db9nI can see where you’re coming from. Personally I feel like the two are different like if you have a reason to be lazy e.g. depression then that’s completely different because you can’t really help that you have depression & that it’s preventing you from even doing the basics like shower or eat or brush your teeth etc depending on how bad it is. But if you don’t have any reason to be lazy whatsoever and it’s literally just a situation where you cba then laziness is a privilege because your life isn’t going to change for the worse even if you’re doing nothing e.g. you’re not going to starve or lose your house or anything like that. Say a teenager for example, where their family is doing good and there’s less risk of anything bad happening and they don’t need to do anything for themselves like work to put food on the table or keep their house because they’re in a secure place living with their family. That’s privilege because it’s not like they NEED to do anything to survive, but they’re still choosing to do nothing else with their life, if that makes sense idk. That’s just how I view it, like the two are separate. But yeah I feel like this video should be going to people who don’t have an excuse but maybe it would be better if liz acknowledged in the video that mental illness exists and it’s not that simple for everyone to get up and do as she says to better themselves 🤷🏾‍♀️

  • As a child of immigrant parents who sacrificed a lot to give me a better life, this really spoke to me. I feel that I have a big desire of giving back to them and start earning enough from social media to pay off their mortgage, but I’ve been so caught up in my own traumas and living with a victim mentality because of it, that I just became lazy and ungrateful and mostly took from them (with the excuse of being a full time student and needing money to support myself in an expensive city) instead of giving my all to make my online business work to fully support myself with it and give back to them as well afterwards. I feel like I’m wasting my years away. But this video was a wake up call. Thanks so much for your work and being so straightforward. Your attitude towards life is really goals for me.

  • At first I was feeling defensive because I'm significantly disabled and most days genuinely, truly cannot do much without either A. passing out or B. feeling like I'm going to pass out afterwards. (For example, taking a shower requires me to sit down otherwise I run the risk of passing out) so I thought to myself "okay, so am I lazy because I can't work right now due to being unable to take care of myself fully, or having no energy left for other things?" But honestly I see that you're not really talking about people who are legitimately incapable of doing some things. I think your message is actually pretty good, and there is value in a lot of what you said. Especially that productivity looks different from person to person. For me, someone who spends most of my day absolutely exhausted, a productive day is one where I'm able to shower, make an actual meal for myself, exercise in some manner, and either do skincare or a chore or two. That's what I'm trying to achieve as a baseline for every day. It's tough, but I'm working on it.

Im 28, f*cked up my life looking for love and not prioritizing my actual duties that will make me a better person and when I DO, put effort into anything greater it’s usually something that would mess me up even more. • update: i have been giving myself more attention and care, taking my sleep seriously, eating more consistently, and noticing signs of my health more frequently. if i'm tired, i always take a nap or at least try to get to sleep soon, i never stay up too late. it's always around the same time and i wake up really really early in the morning and i make basic breakfast: buttered toast with avocado with sliced banana and have been drinking green tea for natural caffeine. then i shower and do my average care routine. if I'm not taking care of my skin or if I notice I'm not sleeping properly from my eyebags or i haven't used lip care recently, i always notice. i don't ignore it i only drink water strictly. if not a plastic bottled one, i take some from the tap in my reusable bottle. with just this i have been able to feel better and it shows in my skin and hair. i've been feeling more able to focus and process things better in the day. i've been realising how important taking care of yourself is even as basic as this.

    • The thought of being "depressed" is all just a big myth people have made it to distract others and if you keep on saying "I'm depressed" then your actually gonna feel like that. You can be sad but never say you are depressed. I swear all this generation wants to do is put a label on everything and there's hundreds of examples like this such as the lgbtq that's a huge one. Basically what I'm saying is just stop saying your depressed and all this crap because let's be for real your not and most people say this just because everyone else is saying it. So stop. Just think to your self you could be living in a worser situation right now. Keep in mind that people are living in a worse situation than you it's just how you react to the situation that matters most, So take a step back and try to fix the problem not overwhelm your self wth it And remember your not depressed your just sad and sadness doesn't last forever

Like also when you're alone and feel like crying, do it. If you're tired, sleep. She said it IN THIS VIDEO!! she explained so much so watch this video, it's 26 minutes that you won't regret. I'm not telling you to go love yourself right here right now because I understand that it's not so easy, but start by respecting your body, you need food, exercise, showers, and no one but you is going to go there and do them for you. I stopped being lazy because I got hit in the face with a realisation, not literally, but I got unwell from something that was completely my fault and I realised that my laziness was causing my health to deteriorate and when it really affected me it changed my whole mindset. I didn’t fully understand why my mind changed but this video helped me realise why.

  • Today i asked my mom for help and it wasn’t easy. I broke down crying but she was supportive and i’m now getting a therapist. Liz, you have no idea how much you’ve helped me shape myself into a healthier person. I’ve never been so motivated like i am when i watch your videos. I’m just so proud of myself for asking for help finally. I’ve been bottling up my emotions for months so it feels like a huge relief. I don’t have any friends, and i used to have a victim mindset where i was so upset over how i didnt talk to anyone throughout the day. But you made me realize that i dont need anyone, i just need myself and that i can pull myself out of this state without anyone else. You’ve helped my self esteem and made me realize my worth. I’m still struggling and it’s been hard to keep up but i’m just so proud with what i’ve achieved. Thank you.

  • Watching the 'relationship with yourself' segment made me remember that I started to write a diary as a New Year's resolution, and yet, I forgot about it after a month. This made me think deeply about my self-care and came to a conclusion: I just don't care about present me and I'm simply going with the flow. I've been stuck in toxic thoughts such as "why do I bother to make great moments if I moght end up forgetting them?" or "just live the moment and move on". Then I remembered why I actually started writing, and it's because I'm turning 18 in June and I want to write down my thoughts on this. So right now, I'll keep journaling and start to grow up as a person and do my best to become a responsible adult, which is scary, but it's the reality.
