Restoration of very rusty rotary hammers | Restore of domestic Japanese makita hammers | MAKITA 8500-B
A friend asked us to restore his old rotary hammer. It was badly damaged. It was hard to recover from this rotating hammer. I hope you guys enjoyed our video. Let us know the mistakes in the video

    • Make sure you put back a new small piece of cardboard in the handle over the Electric terminals on the power switch before yourself electrocuted

  • It is amazing how you do a good job with the minimum of tools. At 8.40 I saw the motor bearing was flopping about with the casing badly eroded away but at 17.56 the bearing pushed into a perfect casing, I couldn't see how you fixed that part. Great watching your vid's.

  • Rusty things that rusted due to environment such as outside in the rain, have a chance to contain the Tetanus bacteria. Would it kill you to wear gloves when disassembling rusty things?

  • You forgot to reinstall that foil paper over the switch as a protective measure for against a nasty electric shock to grounding short to the aluminum housing😜🤪😜🤪 To protect you or anyone else from using the Electric hammer safely Just my quick observation in case you didn't notice my friend

Since I've mentioned about revamping machine; I was thinking of when our American historical figures, have used a steam drill to carve out a railroad tunnel. That's on a certain mountain, during John Henry's time. In the 1880s and the 1890s. ⛰️

  • Hier zeigt sich wieder einmal was man sich für einen Pfusch ansehen kann.Zu erst einmal würde ich mir vernünftiges Werkzeug anschaffen bevor ich anfange zu arbeiten.Zweitens was ist hier Restauriert für mich nur gereinigt und neu bemalt nicht einmal die super rostigen Kugellager wurden gewechselt von den Kohlen ganz abgesehen.Hätte gern gewusst wie lange diese Maschine in Gebrauch ist bis zur nächten Reparatur????

    • @@rogerraven6976 When I was youger, I impaled one of my toe with a piece of metal working without proper shoes. And one of my friend cut a whole tendon in his hand working without gloves in his workshop. Protectives gears are an absolute necessity.
