Don't be one of those people who judge off of the wiki stats they've seen, The warden's damage is so high it can easily kill the ravager in a few hits and he has a lot more health than the amount of hits dealt to him. Mojang specifically stated that he'd be almost impossible to beat by normal means, which is a step above even the enderdragon or wither. Let alone a ravager or iron golem.

Yeah like When you have an objective to find a rare crystal, And then made a loud noise of your pickaxe breaking, Which causes the warden to appear, You then tried to fight it and your armor broke in one single hit, You make a run for it and the warden is chasing you, Your new current objective is to get out of the cave filled with obstacles, And thats when the chase cutscene kicks in.

Well, The Warden is supposed to spawn at the same level as the stronghold, and the stronghold has prison cells. So the souls inside the Warden are the prisoners, and the Warden is the one that's keeping them from escaping.

Well, The Warden is supposed to spawn at the same level as the stronghold, and the stronghold has prison cells. So the souls inside the Warden are the prisoners, and the Warden is the one that's keeping them from escaping.

Now that I see it like that, the Warden's design is actually pretty scary. This thing has fungy horns, a hole for a face, and an open chest with glowing organs that can apparently consume the soul of anything. And the name. The Warden. Why? Who created this monstrosity, and for what purpose? Perhaps a failure during iron golem attempts?
Those “organs” *are* souls.
The warden is an unnatural being that lurks and thrives in the deepest and darkest caves possible awaiting any unlucky and noisy soul who comes across it. Its purpose is to serve as an unholy beast that roams the caverns. Who created it is unknown. But remember one thing, if your torches ever start to dim whenever you're mining. It's near and your only hope is to get out as slowly and quietly as possibly. One noise and your impending doom shall come, you may run but it will catch you, you may fight but it will always come triumph. All hope is lost, your screams only excite the warden as it beats your lifeless body. Run into this monstrosity? This line shall determine your fate, "Darkness falls on the noisy while the light rewards the unheard"
