  • The only chance there is for Hamas to agree to any type of deal is for Israel to go into Rafah ASAP. They've waited long enough, for months on end, for Hamas to agree to a deal. The only thing they'll respond to is military pressure.

    • Israel has been applying military pressure for the past 6 months and it didn’t work. What world are you living in? Israel has killed 40,000+ civilians including 15,000+ children and they still lost to Hamas and still did not achieve its goal nor a ceasefire deal. To quote Israeli journalist who writes for Haaretz: "The war's aims won't be achieved, the hostages won't be returned through military pressure, security won't be restored and Israel's international ostracism won't end." So, I don’t know why you think entering Rafah change the outcome. You’re also being ignorant about another fact: it has been recently reported that Hamas accepted a Gaza Cease-fire Deal; but Israeli Officials rejected prospect of ending the war. Even though Hamas was guaranteed by the U.S. for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and that Israeli forces will not continue fighting once the hostages are released. An Israeli official told Haaretz that 'Israel will, under no circumstances, agree to end the war as part of a deal' and is determined to enter Rafah. Therefore, it’s not Hamas, but Israel is the one rejecting a ceasefire and putting their own hostages in danger.
