First Week with Baby: Jaundice Episode + Postpartum Update 1 Week
A lot happened in our first week with baby / postpartum. Between the two of us we experienced jaundice symptoms, postpartum anxiety, and much more. With that being said, so far our time has been very positive! Mia breastfeeds like a champ and she has been so fun to be around. Hope you enjoy!

How long did it take for her jaundice to go away? We too had the dusty pink colour in her diaper as well and when we called our midwife, they weren’t worried about it

Aww aww she's so cute ..when my baby was a little yellow i took her outside on the sun and she got better and the doctor told me to do that

@@zintlenojoko8072 thank god the jaundice release after 35 days, its a prolonged jaundice. The key is keep on breastfeeed every hour as we want to remove those bilirubin as much as we can. keep monitoring the baby, taking blood sample from time to time to ensure the jaundice does not harm my baby.
@@aishahlavigne7022 thank God it is gone for you I’m so worried because I’ve been researching the dangers but I’m doing just that , breastfeeding every hour and he is receiving treatment and I’m currently getting blood samples
@@zintlenojoko8072 great work, yeah its pretty scary to read bout the dangers and i totally feel ya..im so worried everytime we gone thru the blood test..im like whats the reading, whats the reading..it was so exhausted....and wht i understnd from my doctor, bfeed is the best solution, but if u found your baby weight doesnt increase much means baby didnt get enough milk, u may try to pump out n give it thru bottle this is to ensure baby get enough milk thus most of baby with jaundice somehow easily tired n sleepy they didnt drink properly (is not that your body not producing enough milk). So stay positive as long as you keep an eye on ur baby everything will be better

Am so glad she is ok,😊 Me and my wife are going thru something Similar with the jaundice we have been in the hospital 4 days😥 They have my baby under photo light therapy,he was born on the 13😊
How did it turn out? Did they tell you the cause? My son is 3 days old and currently under the lights. Tearing me up inside.
Same thing happen with my baby boy. He was placed under the blue light. He stayed under the light for 3 days. He his levels went down and his yellow tint has faded. I am still watching him to make sure he is okay. He had Jaundice due to our blood mixing and him being combs positive. I was told by the doctor that any child I ever had would have Jaundice. My baby boy is my second child. My daughter who is almost 3 years older than him also was born with Jaundice.
@@netm203 they told us it was because of our blood mix..i started to place him towards sunlight every morning,they told us that would help..and it sure did he was released 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏..keep asking and make sure he gets enough light.
@@jhene93 o wao this is my first kiddo and they said the same that it was die to our blood mixture am scared to have another because of this,he was under lights a full week..they would let me walk him out into the sun because the suns rays would help...he is not yellow anymore.
My baby experienced yellow eyes,the dusty pink colour on diaper and yellow urine....I seriously breastfed ,after every three hours,once in a while I'd let him bask or expose him to natural light...two weeks down the line he would pee and poop a lot. Eventually the jaundice went away within two weeks, he's the cutest baby,6 weeks now. Hope it helps a mom, I came here to give this feedback 6 weeks later after watching this
How is your prolapse after having your second baby?
So far it feels very similar to how I felt after my first was born! Which is a win in my book. I am currently 7 weeks PP so we will see how things go as I am just now becoming more active again. I have really forced myself to take things slowly over the last 7 weeks. Wishing you well and thanks for your question! 😘
Thanks for the reply! :) Defiantly would love to hear how pregnancy was for you with a prolapse and how the birth and healing process and if it gotten worse or stayed the same etc.
