  • I think Russia, in their tiny mind, wanted to take Kharkiv but cocked up. Then they had to pretend it was a diversion. It’s more likely to be a cock up than a diversionary tactic if it’s a Russian plan.

    • I'm not a bot or shill so don't take this the wrong way. I cant find a source that says we gave them permission and I think that would be announced. Side note though loop holes are a thing and the British may or may not have provided them with weapons that do have permission to be used on Russian soil.

    • @@skankhunt420 Rules… You mean like the rule where you don’t invade countries or the one about not killing people? I’m pretty sure most countries, treaties, and “rules” specifically speak on those subjects. My point is that rules (such as laws forbidding murder) have absolutely zero impact on stopping said act, if the person wanting to commit that act is determined to anyway. The US can’t stop them, but the US can withhold further aid because of it… Sorry, I just get all hot and bothered when I see people relying on words on paper to prevent or stop anything. We live in a natural order where the only real two rules that dictate anything are what a man can and what a man can’t do. Don’t get me wrong, I love and respect law but only when it’s just, limited, and applied equally.

  • Enforcer ... on the subject of eggs ... it is the USA who wash eggs and remove (in the washing process) the natural protection that the eggs has. Europe does not wash eggs and so can be kept in non refrigerated shelves. As a general rule visibly clean eggs can still be highly contaminated with Salmonellae.

    • As someone who raises and keeps chickens, I’ve never washed a single egg in my life. When you wash off the bloom, they have to be refrigerated immediately, as oxygen can now pass through the shell and membrane, rapidly speeding up bacterial growth and decomposition. I rarely have a dirty egg in the first place, but since I have a whole fridge full, I always just feed dirty eggs to my dogs or cat. It’s not worth the time to wash off for me.

  • I can see three possibilites in regards to the missile strike in Belgorod. 1). It's a UK missile since the UK has recently allowed Ukraine to use its weapon systems to be used to strike Russian territory. 2). It's based on a US, UK, French,... system that the Ukranians have reversed engineered with perhaps some minor differences with or without permission of the countries of the missile it was based on. This could be a loophole to bypass the restriction of the missile not being allowed to be used to strike Russian territory as it would no longer technically be a US or French system, but a Ukranian system. 3). It's an indigenous Ukranian system. The Ukranian military industrial complex is capable of building these sorts of missiles and the war has been going on for quite a while so it is perfectly feasible for a Ukranian missile like the one that was used to have been developed. Could even be something that had been worked on pre-war and has finally been finished. Quite a few weapon systems used in long lasting wars were already being developed before the start of said war. The German tiger tank was already being worked on before WW2 even started to name one example.

  • Kharkiv has been nothing but a mistake fir Ukraine defending it is ha5d because its to close the russia wete the are not allowed to attack , its a massive drain of AA as its so close to Russia the response time for missle attack is short and so extra systems are needed to defend it badly. At the start of the war large amount of resources were spent freeing the ground round karkiv which was pointless as the border means it would never be safe enough to free up any troops those resources could have been used in the south before the russians were dug in to cut the land bridge to Crimea which is a war changing attack not a side show.

    • @@skankhunt420 some do, but it wouldn't matter. What is in the picture is not that fast, either the engine is still on ( look at the glow before it hits) or it has come out of really high speed and is glowing from the air resistance. If it was a Storm Shadow that had just done the pull up and it wasn't at the end of the range, the engine would probably still be on. The ISKANDER does the same, and I believe the Hrim-2 have a similar trajectory. Or it is a new Yuzhmash product all together, they do great stuff
