The fact that Japan (Sony HQ) and Puerto Rico (US Territory) were included as unsupported is insane
Another insane thing to me was the amount of PlayStation corpo lover plebs telling us "jUst bEnD aNd coMpLy" just because they are used to getting milked by Sony, heck no, we marked a precedent!
Apparently Japan has access to two versions of the game. The 'global' version where it has every other language other than Japanese. Then there's the 'Japanese' only version. It was the 'global' version that got de-listed from them. They can still buy the 'Japanese' only version. Has something to do about licensing rights for Japanese voice acting.

When you see the CEO playing with some content creators, you know they love the game. I don't think they ever desired this .. but with Sony paying the bills, they had to do it. The only power availabe was the community.
The best part the devs are making a free cape that shows the negative steam review graph. It's a pretty banger cape too
The devs were vocal that they didnt want this to happen and were actively encouraging the community to voice their concerns. I havent checked, but I hope this goes down in Helldivers wiki history just like Malevelon Creek

Considering the PSN Requirement was clearly visible on launch day on the Steam page, I'm surprised how many people cannot read
I was flabbergasted at the reading comprehension of everyone as well after this happened. Never underestimate the power of stupidity in groups. Don't @ me. I'm not siding with Sony about the requirement. I'm just going to say that the requirement to link a PSN account with Steam was ALWAYS THERE on the store page. Before release and after. I bought the game a week and a half after release and remember seeing a prompt in-game to link PSN to access online play. Did everyone experience this differently? Because I clearly needed to link or it didn't let me play online. Now I have my Steam account needlessly linked to my PSN since it's not needed anymore. The backlash was outrageous. It was both needed, and not needed. It's sad to see everyone say they "just did it out of nowhere" when that's not how it was going to work. Now, what did occur was poor communication on Sony's part as to how it was going to work because I can see someone overlooking that small tag on the store page about 3rd party accounts or DRM. Such an unfortunate situation. In many ways, the fact that PSN has limited access globally probably wasn't the best idea to require it in the first place since Steam is not limited to which parts of the world it can be accessed. So if anything, the way this all happened was probably better because Sony would rather not see Helldivers take a massive dump and lose money. I don't. The game is too good to see it go to waste.

I had taken a break from the game for a bit because of all the balancing but i came on for a mission due to how we succeeded on the major order to get Sony to overturn PSN requirement. I had my refund rejected 5 times and my refund was getting reviewed on my 6th one when the announcement hit so I cancelled the refund request and reinstalled it when i got home

I'm finding I love the Orbital strike for groups, chargers and biles. It one shots biles and tanks,hulks. You stun the chargers, and if you hit the bile right on, they drop in one. 60 sec cool down and its effective. More than the rail strike in my option.
I'm gonna have to give that a try!
@@tauri7273 Let me edit and say unless you run into a PC host with the immortal bile issue, yeah it works lol. Otherwise it's an orbital, two rail strikes then finally lured into a hellbomb.

How is it greed for a publisher to want you to sign in into their services?... Is that not what you need to do to play, oh I don't know, COD, HALO, RDR and GTA online, or any game by say UBISOFT, EA or Microsoft?.... Why is it not greed for them to do this, but for Sony it is? Only problem was, that PSN is not available in this many countries. Which when they saw, they were straight away in talk about what to do there... 😊
