Doubt it... I'm sure Tuchel believes in him... He's played him constantly since pre season... I still think we should go for Kounde as he looks like a brilliant addition... At least one for the future... Come next summer, Silva, Zouma and Christiensen might all go... Azpiliqueta is coming to the end of his career so going forward, I can see Rudiger, Chalobah and Kounde being our 1st choice centre backs... What a combo that would be...

He fell out of favour in Lampards system because of an old Thiago Silva. But this guy has loads of potential and i see him being one of the best defence forces in football. Tomori was on loan before Tuchel arrived. Tuchel was visiting academy games during and after the season so he got a feel for how our academy players were. Letting go of tomori wasn’t Tuchel fault. That plan was set in motion probably before he arrived and to make room for signings. We can’t keep everyone. There will be hard decisions made and I trust the board to make the right ones.
@@sihlepanduva1515 Tomori was let go as he fell out with Granovskaia because of a contract related dispute. Lampard had him at derby and gave him his chance at Chelsea. He would have loved to keep him as would have Tuchel. Hopefully it won't go like that for Chalobah.

No one can predict his first 11... Same as Pep and Man City... That's why they're both great teams... Tuchel picks his team depending on the opposition... Whatever people think about players getting minutes or missing out on game time... Tuchel knows what works and he's got the whole squad singing from the same hymn sheet so it's most definitely working... Whole squad gets minutes... Everyone is happy, all the players support each other... It's just brilliant to see, coming from a Chelsea fan. I just hope we get good results on our next run of games which looks difficult on paper (Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa, Spurs, Man City)... We get wins in those games and I think we'll definitely be in with a shout of the title.... Early days yet but today's result was the perfect start.

-Havertz has been phenomenal since the end of last season - Chalobah just too good, Chelsea academy is a bloody diamond mine - Want to see more of chilwell and James even though Alonso is at the top of his attacking game - Just see us after we have Lukaku and kante back in the team 😎
Everybody was great except for Werner who continues to be ass, I'm not that worried this season because we got Lukako and he can be paired with Havertz and Mount as well as Zeiych when he is back, Werner can be played against certain teams that leave a lot of space behind, otherwise he can just stay in the bench and not give us heart attacks when he misses wide open chances over and over again.

Tuchel has a difficult job and he does it very well. There are first team players who were not in the match day squad and yet whenever they have the opportunity to play, they give their best. Good mentality in the team.👍👍

it's an option to have Alonso and Chillwell, Chillwell works best in defense and he is very fast to win the ball or feed the goal. Alonso works best as a more forward wing back, lack of speed to rush the back but great with putting shots here and there at the front

I Hope Tuchel will give Alonso more minutes this season. We always see his defensive fragility, but tbh Alonso has won us so many games. From today's lineup, you could only expect goals from either Mount, Pulisic or Alonso.
Alonso is a winger back,he was really good under Conte with back 3 just like Tuchel
Chilwell is the better player tbh, my worry with Alonso is that for every great game like this he has performances like West Brom or Bayern. Chilwell is way more consistent and better defensively.
i think alonso is better to play against low block team like crystal palace, burnley, and such. Chillwell who has a balance attack and defense is really good to play against bigger teams
Alonso is small team player. If he's faced with intensely paced teams like Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern he struggled a lot. Chilwell is faster and tracks back better than Alonso. He knows when to attack and go back, while Alonso seems to only love being at the front. Look at our games against City, all of them.

Even Tuchel only played him for rotational purpose to keep Chilwell's fitness as we're about to face big games in the next several fixtures. Tuchel rested Chilwell, Thiago, Kante, Havertz, Reece, then subbed Cesar for obvious reasons.

The top teams usually have 3-4 undroppable players then lots of depth and competition at other positions, IMO. Those competitive spots go to the players in the best current form or the ones who fit the Manager's tactical plan for that particular opposition.
