The dark oak thing is probably because the normal log already matches the plank, so the stripped version would just have slightly different textures.

A mildly annoying thing I found about wood and planks is that dark oak wood and spruce planks look like they go together, as does spruce wood and dark oak planks. It's like they got switched or something.
I think it’s good that villagers are challenging to move. They’re people really, and do you think people would let you tie a lead to them so you can drag them away from their home?

11:57 Well, the actual reason is that Cobble, Blackstone and Deep Cobble have the same ID of 4. While, on the other hand Stone, Granite, Diorite, Andesite, Deepslate and their Polished variants have the ID of 1
I think it'd be cool if Diorite/Andesite/Granite could make stone tools, or you could morph it with an existing stone tool to give it new colour, a reddish stone tool would look sick!

4:52 Story TIme: I was flying with an elytra when suddenly, I hit something in midair. I was way above the clouds, no mods, nothing was there, and I took damage and started to fall.
I forgot to mention that this happened over 30 TIMES
Not randomly taking damage. The invisible flying wall is a known bug and is probably fixed.
For me this typically happens when I fly faster than the render.

The reason why the cauldron doesn’t work the way you think it should with water is because it’s just a texture, not actual water. I think having actual water in there would be pretty hard for mojang to do.

For the first one with the ladder and grass path, it also happens with vines, and with tilling soil. Learnt this the hard way trying to make a farm next to a jungle tree, and the vines would constantly get in my way.

Just a thought for #16, I think it is just that you have selected the first slot of your inventory, which the slot is highlighted/surrounded by a thicker frame, which makes the slot looks bigger and makes the bar seem asymmetrical. If you select the inventory slots in the middle instead of the first and the last, you’ll see that both sides are symmetrical again I believe. So this technically is not a problem…

A reason that I found for why Blackstone can't be crafted into redstone machinery was found in the Nintendo switch news and is apparently because blackstone is more fragile than cobblestone.
That’s actually pretty interesting! It also plays into why it’s harder to mine, as you have to be more careful, thus slower! Edit: my bad I was thinking of deepslate, then again I’d have to check again if blackstone is harder to mine

blackstone indeed has a lower hardness than cobble
okay but for the last one that'd actually be a really good idea. Using stone you could make Hardened Stone tools that have more durability than regular stone, but less than iron, or something like that

I know a lot of people want to use chains for chainmail armor, but why? Every chain is one iron ingot and two iron nuggets. For a chestplate you would spend more iron than for an iron chestplate, even though iron has more defense. It would be better to use iron nuggets to make the chainmail. Just a suggestion.
I would introduce a "mail segment" item made of, say, 4 nuggets, for balance, but yeah.

The reason blackstone doesnt work for redstone is because it is too fragile. In the launcher a few months ago there was a link to an article about blackstone, saying why it doesnt work for some things, and the general lore around this mysterious substance.

For the last one, it is kinda annoying because one time i was gathering books from the strongold library when i realized i forgot my netherite axe. So i mined out if the library got 3 deepslate and... forgot i had silk touch on my pick. So i ended up forgetting about it and just going to the end.

@@ebomboms custom heads are a mod for java. You can thus also have a mod for custom heads on bedrock. I recommend going to foxynotail's website and using his head mod.
There are more bugs seen on reddit because that's what people post and upvote there. Any bedrock farm or build stops getting attention as soon as people realise it's bedrock. But as the nature stands they love to upvote the bugs so they can ridicule us.

Dying out of nowhere in Minecraft is when your character has a heart attack and dies
As a bedrock player, I have encountered the random fall damage bug, along with a few other damage bugs. But I've never seen the damage be able to one shot. Usually it would do 0.5-2 hearts of damage, sometimes more if I'm unlucky. In fact, anything over 4 hearts seems near impossible, at least from my experience.
I think the bug happens because it negates random fall damage you take and then gives it all to you at once hurting you I have died 7 times because of this

Idk if this is in all versions but I’m pretty sure you can attach a lead to a boat, to get it over blocks you need a water bucket to pull it up. Place the water on the upper block then go up the water, to the source. With the frost walker, I usually use it at night because it stays there forever (unless you break it of course)

If chains are used to make chain armour, which is weaker than iron, then you’re actually using more iron for an inferior armour type (chains are made using 2 iron nuggets and an iron ingot). And you can’t just make iron weaker than chain, since iron covers 50% more of the body than chain, so it just wouldn’t make sense. Here’s my solution: Minecraft should change the chain recipe to 4 iron nuggets in a diamond shape (deck of cards diamond, not Minecraft diamond). That way, players use less iron for an armour that’s weaker than iron.
Glass is just the pixles that is removed and making it transparent, but chest is physically smaller...

Another way Minecraft is ripping you off is the fact that slabs are more thicker than trapdoors, yet they take less wood so its annoying when you realise it 6 wood planks instead of 3 for a trapdoor

With enough of these things in one video, even I find a few of them that I didn't already know. But, it's kinda sad to see Skip doing exclusively this content these days. 7:25 I got a tip I've been using this in my mcpe world /bedrock world remember that boats can be leashed I leashed one with a villager in it and I can pull it but you need to jump if you want it to move through an obstacle idk bout java tho
My biggest annoyance involves the off-hand, being able to hold a stone-based block/pickaxe breaking block in the off-hand and still be able to use the pick to mine a misplaced block making building easier. However, it is COMPLETELY useless for the axe and shovel. For the axe you can't hold a log in your off-hand and hold the axe in your main hand because you'll just strip the log anytime to right-click to place a block. For the shovel, you can't right-click to place down a block because it'll create a pathblock (which in 1.17 was made even more aggrevating since any dirt-like soil block can be made into a path block. It's such a fantastic mechanic for the pickaxe, and such a disappointing mess for the axe/shovel.

@Joseph Tarkington What's worse is that you can't even crouch to avoid making a path with the shovel, or stripping a log with an axe, it does the secondary action(or whatever term they use) as long as the tool is in your main hand. A complete troll mechanic.
you keep mentioning potion cauldrons in bedrock, but you never mention that you can also dye the water in cauldrons in Bedrock, which allow for much more decoration options than potion cauldrons, especially since Potions are harder to get

9:13 I recently had a 16x16 texture pack that made all the glazed terracotta work much better, pretty much regardless of how you placed them against one another, and light blue glazed terra cotta in vanilla Minecraft behaves much like that as well, with a lot of variations in aligning blocks. I dearly wish they'd revision the glazed terracotta, so you can create more patterns, by making the different angles line up better. They could be so much better to work with, than in their current itteration.

A lot of people say that minecraft shadows are circles. But just like the Ender Pearl, they are not perfect circles. They are made of tiny pixels hence forth, it's not a circle. It's a bunch of tiny squares.
