Fractal Design releases two new cases - the Meshify 2 RGB and the Meshify 2 Lite RGB. These cases are similar but cover two ends of the budget spectrum.

Great video, thanks for posting! Just to mention on how to daisy chain the rgb fans - you can start from the small cable coming out of the front of the case (if you want to control the rgb from that front button) and leave the last one hanging (don't connect to the MB). Or, just connect the fans only and then plug the last one to the MB if you want to control the RGB from the MB...
Thank you for this!
The explanation of the PWM cable etc has been immensely helpful, thank you!
They're good, those Scandinavians! Fractal could be my next case. Detailed review here too, good work
Thanks so much for the video. I just bought case and I’m very excited to set it up.
Thanks! Another great video. Keep going.
That’s a USB-C port that has been blocked off. You have to purchase the port separately. The power led is behind the front door.
I have the Meshify 2 for a NAS server build, it's an awesome case for that! I wish I had the RGB version! But for a desktop build, the Lite version seems to be a good value! EDIT: I wish you showed how the fans looks like when pluggued in the built-in RGB controller of the front panel instead of your the motherboard. Great video!
Thanks for the detailed review.
This is such a helpful video, thank you very much!
fractal is/going to release USB type C add on for the Lite. im getting one as soon as its available in my country. the meshify 2 lite is basically a stretched meshify 2 compact
Nice PC, solid Build! Maybe you can help mie with mine. I have a problem with the fans and the rgb. The fans dont show up in the bios. I have daisychained it like you, but the wont give a RPM signal to the MB. Where did you connect the fans to on the motherboard? SYS_FAN or anything else? Maybe Iv connected that wrong
Hi there, is it possible to add additional front dust filter to Meshify 2 Lite?
I'd have loved to hear where you plug the RGB cable from the fans in on the Lite since it doesn't have the thing on the back. I'm assuming the fan cable would just plug into the motherboard.
I just got the Meshify 2 Lite on my custom build, kinda bummed out that the website I bought it from didn't have the non-Lite version as an option. As those missing dust-filters really would've helped combat my old carpet.
If you came here to learn about the Lite version since not many people are covering this case, it begins at 44:12.
is your rgb hub connected to the pcu fan header?
300th like here. You deserve it man, nobody else explained the difference.
48:39 how did you manage to configure the strips through the backlight change button, what and where to connect
Maybe I'm dumb but I have the lite and wiring the ARBG fans is confusing me. I assume you just daisy chain them then the last 4 pin goes to the motherboard, the last 3 pin connector goes to the RGB strip connectors on the motherboard? Also, thank you as you have covered this better than any other video I found. You earned a subscriber.
Let me take a look (at the video). The cases are packed away and not easily accessible...
Ok - so yes, all of the RGB connectors (3 pin) daisy chain with the final connector (3 pin) going to the 3 pin RGB control from the motherboard, and the fans are essentially the same way - daisy chained and then the final 4 pin PWM connector goes to a fan header on the motherboard. Power for the fans can also be run independently to separate fan header on the motherboard if you like. Keep in mind on the RGB controls that a 3 pin connector is 5 volts and the 4 pin connectors are for 12 volts. And you can't plug a 3 pin connector to a 4 pin RGB header on the motherboard due to one of the pin holes being blocked off.
@@overclockersclub Thank you!
Thank you for this extremely detailed and well filmed video, it is incredibly helpful when looking at cases but why on earth would you put the PSU with the fan up - it can pull fresh cold air from the outside and exhaust directly outside too. WHY?!
I connected the front panel sata for rgb control. The fans are daisy chained and are working but nothing happens when I operate the front panel rgb control button 🧐 anyone an idea?
Can you confirm if the top will take a 420mm rad on the lite? Strange for them to drop that especially when it says it can take 3x140 fans up top
I will check for you tomorrow.
Trying to confirm this - it might be a printing error on the box...
@@overclockersclub The specs on the site will also be wrong too
@@danrainford Yeah I am talking to Fractal about all that. They are now aware of it.
@@overclockersclub sounds to me like I'm am going to get myself a free case out of all this 🤙🏽
I'm glad this new model can take 420mm radiator AIO on top now 😍😍
Trying to confirm this - it might be a printing error on the box...
420mm doesn’t fit! I tried
@@HandySolution Wow so just a 360 radiator. That is what I got already, so this is not an upgrade from my case then.
@@DuyDepTraiPhoBaTrieu I just put a 360mm in it… I couldn’t get the 420mm to fit.. it was hitting my MB and Ram.
can you fit a 280mm radiator on both lite and regular?
yes
Where can you get that "spinning stand" that you have the case sitting on please?
I made it myself: kzhead.info/sun/fK2vpM5rfIWJrJE/bejne.html
@@overclockersclub nicely done.. do you know of anything similar bring sold? I want it for my Fractal Meshify 2 RGB case that's coming for my first build..
@@stainless50 You might try something like this: www.amazon.com/Organizer-Turntable-Cabinet-Computer-Plastic/dp/B074W7MN5L/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=60ISL95NSK2E&keywords=turntable&qid=1682474893&sprefix=turntable%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzR01PSVlVRFVJNkM1JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjA0NTU4MjkwSkNEUjhVWjJIQSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjkxMzY4NElUS0NIMzI3MlpMJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1
@@overclockersclub I need one closer to the dimensions or your in the video.. the yy Fractal Meshify 2 RGB needs at least 2 feet length or more just to stand on.. any other options?
You down with OCC?
Yeah, you know me.
please can you give me the dimensions of the box?
YOU DIDNT SAVOR THE PEELIES
no front filter?? really for this price?
The lite is such a joke, the simplified manufacturing (way less removable parts) probably dropped the cost by like 25%, yet they also removed the fan controller...which basically costs around the 30$ (difference in price to consumer)
i odn't know where to plug in the fans to get the RGB to work. I'm so confused. I daisy chained the RGB cable together and then what?
same issue im having the fans work but the rgb doesnt , did u ever figure it out?
@@ballamaniac6984 yes, the actual cable when you plug in was hiding behind a bunch of cables. Look through the cables on the left side of the case because that specific cable is a lot shorter, causing me to miss it when I would briefly look through that area. Just diligently search the cables and you should find it
@@spicynoodleboi u talkin about the 3 pin rgb cable coming from the front header?
@@ballamaniac6984 I also have that problem, the cable is like 8 inches how and where do I plug it in! Would be great if he would go over the front panel cables in more detail.
@John Jones I finally got mine working I had a faulty front header but u just have to plug the small 3 pin rgb cable coming from the front header and daisy chain it to the rest of your fans if u want to control it with the case rgb controller And other than that's it straight forward plug the sata cable into the sata cord for psu and audio onto the audio port on motherboard and everything else that has to plug onto the motherboard
Loooooong intro..
Need to speak up a little more ma dude.
Are u talking? i swaer i hear somebody whispering.
3x140mm front intake fans, 1x140mm back exhaust, with a top 360 aio exhaust? isn't that basically neutral air pressure then, which is the worst?
