“Even if it is not yours please pick it up”. Great thought! Thanks for the great video.
smaller ones looks like those cartoonishly round birds with needle beaks they're super cute when they're wobbling around 😊
Lovely and well made video, thank you and hope to visit again!
Very informative video! 👍
💫💙💫🩵💫💙💫🩵💫💙💫 Our beautiful world would be a lonely place Without the shore birds as they run down the shore to win the race. They seem to run haphazardly all over the place As I watch the shore & the birds doing their thing I am in awe of just about every thing They work so hard from dusk till dawn . & some will even navigate all night long . They will get to their next destination with style & grace To land on the shores again to run the race .💫
Happy late birthday to our Queen Rosa!
Thanks MBA, we love you
One day I will visit Rosa in person
Thank you for this video! I'm working on reducing plastic in my life
Hi Kim, I see 3 new birds in the aviary, are they red knots? Love the addition of a 2nd snowy plover. Love watching the live aviary cam every day.
we love you guys and rosa - dougdoug community
Wish this video and anything related to nature would be beamed across the nation 👍🐥❤️
I LOVE SHOREBIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love these videos. Thank you!❤
We all love ourselves sum birbs with longs legs :3 I also was thinking, can I show your content on twitch? I love what you are doing in the work for conservation and am a big fan of birbs ^^
These birds are wonderful! I'm glad things are done to protect their homes and daily lives. Thank you for this interesting video. I learnt a lot - I didn't know about keeping a dog on leash even if it sounds logical when I'm thinking about it.
hey monterey bay aquarium :) can you guys do a couple meditoceans? especially one for sleep or night time? i've been going through a tough time lately, i know a lot of people have, i find that your meditoceans really help me, and i've listened too all of the ones made. thank you guys for helping me and everyone so much 🤍!
I LOVE SILLY BIRDS!!!!
What do they pick out of the sand? Crabs?
Our 2 beaches adjacent Vandenberg Space Force Base are closed to foot traffic during snowyplover nesting season. There is an attempt to monitor for infractions, but after a certain number, the beach is forced closed for the duration. Many of us locals are always so hopeful that the infractions will be minimal so as to keep the beaches open. A few years, it was close, but nope. Many folks are angry that the beaches must be closed. Bumper stickers, passive protests using signs, etc. I don't use the beach at all, so I sit on the fence with that dilemma.
One thing that was observed up here was the plovers were more susceptable to predators when foot traffic was down. As long as people and dogs stayed away from the nesting dunes, there was little plover-people conflict. ORE parks really enforces the leash laws, and that helps.
@@olivei2484 Agreed. That was the consensus here too, about more wildlife predators filling that niche. No-win situation.
Thanks for the information. I had no idea that when I used to bring my dog to the ocean years back I could be disturbing the wildlife I only knew from where I live about seals and during nesting, mating and growing their pups to keep him away from them. If I knew more I wouldn’t of done different. I hope that there are signs today up so people can make an informed decision (& hopefully the right one haha but I haven’t been since becoming disabled to the ocean this is) but for others are there signs up besides keep dogs leashed about the birds? Hope so!
We have beach clean-ups in Oregon before the Snowy Plover nesting season. Parks arrange it. They close the dune nesting area from April 1 through September. They have designated walkways to access the tidal region.
Shorebirds are so cute
