  • Maybe with a submersible camera on the end of a pole you can try to find it and retrieve it with a fishing net.

  • The water looks pretty shallow so if you can get a decent Underwater Camera with LED and Live Feed on a very long pole… That should do it.   • You can try using a metal detector - one with a long shaft and the headphones to listen for when it beeps when it detects anything.

    • the only issue is: it pretty much has to be incontact with the bottom to get a ping. They aren't designed to work with water (I'm assuming you're talking about the ones old timers use at the beach). You might be able to adjust the gain so it ignores the water, otherwise it will beep constantly because it might detect the water as an object.

  • You need a Net about 5 / 6 ft. long. 36" Wide ! With two metal polls like a Badminton polls that go in the ground Two boats ! pulling side by side !! This should work !! Good luck mates !

  • Honestly, just read the instructions and take the Fifish out again. I know some people hate doing it for whatever reason, but the thing has everything you were trying/needing to do: 90 degree look up/down, lateral movement, posture lock and a depth hold. Just learn how to actually work it and you'll cover a hell of a lot more ground with that thing than with a wooden pole and a fishing net.

  • If it will find fish, it will find your boat, use a fish finder with GPS to grid the area. And use an electric motor it is much more precise.

  • Just started out used to build them in the 80's. I bought the Hoss love it so far. My eye sight is not good enough to fix them myself. But I don't think I will beat it up. Had the steel shafts put on. Need the servo. Got new shocks put on. I hope my luck is better than yours lol. Keep up the videos

  • Decent gauge fishing line, sinker and hook on the end, keep dragging it through the area the boat went down. Heck, you could ever weigh down a go pro, put that on the end of a line and film what's down there. I once found a little kids rod and reel the way I described, he was still there and I gave it right back to him.

  • What about a bucket with a clear bottom you put just under the water, while hanging over boat and look through with a couple of scuba diving lights on end to light up the bottom...that might work and cheap to make....as you slowly criss - cross the river in an organised search pattern......😀

  • Just a thought but a metal fish stringer you know you keep your caught fish on with the clips all undone and stretched out should work by dragging the bottom I have retrieved fishing rods from deep water this way! Cheers from Kansas USA

  • I hope a spider doesn’t end up in the monster truck! 🕷 🛻 the way Kev reacts to them is hilarious 😂 and I think that submarine just needs a little ballast (weight) so basically it will just “hover” in place. Similar to an r/c helicopter in flight. That way you’re not having to give it full throttle constantly, just to remain submerged 👍🏼 See you all at the monster truck jam! 🍀🍀🍀🍀

  • hi Kev I love your vids and you always make me laugh and I also know how to get the boat out. you need a magnet used for magnet fishing the boat would of got pushed down a bit further down the river so I say when you buy the magnet and rope go back then start dragging the magnet across the bottom of the river I hope you find it then if not maybe some one else with scuba diving gear might help. thanks for making me laugh.

  • Try contacting someone from your local sub aqua club, but as you said things rarely go straight down and the water current no matter how slow will drag it along the bottom.

    • The boat has a natural bouyancy, it went down and stayed down. Most likely it's stuck in the mud or on a root or something. I mean stempy literally pointed it towards the bottom and hit full throttle.

  • Bucket with clear plastic bottom we use them to find river clams be able to see bottom strap torch on side of bucket for light

  • Fix a Gopro to the end of that piece of wood. That way you can use the wood to search and see the hook so you can pull the boat back

  • Kev. Try an airtag next time or for all your current watercraft. It may help you locate them easier . There are products available to help make the tag waterproof.

  • Well to spot it mount the submarine to the pole yall have and mount some really really bright lights to it to be able to see better under the water, retrieving it is another issue all together probably would be easiest to swim down and pick it up. But for future reference to prevent this mount a small C02 canister for a air pistol with a Ballon and a small regulator which is controlled by a water detection sensor which when the boat fills with water will inflate the Ballon hopefully increasing the buoyancy enough to make it float to the top

  • Big Strong Magnet on a rope (like they use for magnet fishing). Must be something magnetic in the RC Boat that will catch on it.

  • You could maybe put a camera on the end of that Stick with a really bright flashlight (of course waterproof) and then kinda connect the camera to a Phone or whatever🤷‍♂️
