My happy, worldly 9-year-old grandson living in an interracial home, came home quiet, trouble, moved his food on his plate at dinner without eating. Finally came to me and said I don't think I'm gay but if I am that's okay... Students were taught homosexuality that day and forced to say out loud that sometimes they think about wanting sex with someone of their sex and that that's okay. Confirmed independently by multiple parents. These people are damaging our children and must be stopped.
I have never seen this kind of comment before, I'm 40 past in July, I wasn't taught about gay stuff in school, but I was called gay so much for just being me, something happened me at 7yearold, an old man sexually abused me. It would have been my 1st ever sexual experience sick as that sounds. And I Went down that route in life I Could write a book on how that damaged my life, I never wanted to do gay things, but yes I believe young boys today been taught this in school is 100% going to mess them up and send them down a road they really fall victim to the agenda, even worse today, boys and girls are going straight to transgenderism. People would come to me wanting me to fix them so they didn't have those desires. I would explored those with them and usually the outcome would be teaching them to accept themselves and accepting that being open at that time in that community, about their sexuality, could be dangerous. .. It took about a year regarding my grandson, but my son sold his house, bought another one in a school district that doesn't believe in doing that to children. That teacher by the way, did the same thing to the girls.
I guess I would be going to jail, the next day.... Because I would be showing up at that school room!

Presently, even if these books are/become forbidden in schools… there is nothing stopping the parents from buying the book and showing it to their children if they want them to have access to it. If they complain about poor people not having access… Public libraries could even have a section for books of a sexual nature (for educational purposes) that may only be accessed in the presence of parents. I feel like that’s the rational compromise. Do I think children should be exposed to this rubbish? Certainly not. But there’s a lot of things I don’t think parents should expose their children to that they do. At some point, it’s none of my business. The best we can do is ensure that our public schools only allow children under their supervision to consume age appropriate material.

As a lifelong voracious reader Ive long been confused by the crazy double standard that didnt let me rent American Pyscho from Blockbuster (old!) when I was 16 but did let me buy American Pyscho the book when I was 12. Far more people have seen the movie than read the book but let me assure you that the book is 10 times more violent, and specifically sexually violent than the film. Its not about homosexual sex. Its about adult content of all kinds. Grape and extreme sexual violence and child unalivings (Ive gotten a few KZhead 24 hour message bans. Lol.) doesnt belong in middle and high schools. Thats not book burning. It is technically censorship but it's reasonable censorship our society basically uniformally agrees on when it comes to movies, and TV, and music, and video games, and online content (although we need more child/parental controls and options there). What sets books apart? Books are just automatically wholesome and child friendly by their very nature? "Well the kids are at least reading instead of being stuck on their phones..." Thats ridiculous. Anyone who compares screening what books can and cannot be placed in schools with book burning and government censorship probably has a political agenda. Which is exactly what we are seeing of course...

I live in NYC a few blocks from the luxury hotels (and now shelters) where the new “migrants” are being housed. Ages ago when they started putting them in hotels - before it got so out of control that even our mayor is saying it’s going to destroy the city - my super (a black legal immigrants) told me that we had 29 assaults and muggings on our block in one month. 29. In one 500 strip on sidewalk. In the last month my neighborhood has seen multiple stabbings, multiple shootings, and multiple violent assaults… all committed by people who came here claiming to be fleeing violence, who have shown they have zero respect for our laws or our law enforcement officers, and who we are paying for housing more expensive than the average New Yorker could afford PLUS more spending money for food than impoverished New Yorkers get from food stamps. It’s not racist when the girl on the right talks about the problems. It’s not racist when I quote the actual, real world, on the ground experience, and it’s not racist when my black immigrant super and my black progressive mayor talk about how serious this problem is. That said… I can’t speak for whether or not it’s racist when Ava looks down at and verbally belittles the only two black guests simply for not 100% supporting her and choosing to have their own opinions.

A book, available NOW, that may lead to children becoming sexualised and worse... is of great importance. In the old days, the term "Latin" didn't just refer to the Spanish, it included Italians, Potugese and French because of the type of language separate from northern Europe. They were "The Latins". A NY Italian would say "I'm a Latin from Manhattan!". And of course it's why South America was called "Latin America". But this was forgotten and only referred to the Spanish-speaking population south of the border. All of them, including the indigenous people or mestizos. It's a bad idea to group people based on a shared language.

First of all: once people start calling you names like ‘hateful’ ‘transphobic’ they lost the argument. Secondly, people say that as an emotional response. They don’t actually think about it. I had a conversation with a friend who called me transphobic for being against drag queen story hour. I asked him what *exactly* am I saying that’s hateful and he couldn’t answer me. Because I asked him what’s so hateful about keeping things 18+? And he said it’s ’limiting their gender expression”. What a load of BS. I 1000000% support people being who they want to be even if it’s sexually charged in nature in ADULT SETTINGS. What is so hateful about wanting to keep kids safe? He says, “oh, then you’re assuming they’re predators” and like YES. DUH. when kids are involved you should be hyper vigilant about their safety. I watched Mary Poppins a million times growing up, and I never even noticed the word Hottentot when they said it. It was in the middle of a song n dance sung in broken English with heavy accent. As kids, we just understood that ppl from different countries talked funny. Hell it took ppl over half a century after the word was deemed racist for ppl to even realize they said it in the Mary Poppins movie!
