Also, ronaldo on his peak would smack 60+ goals in a single season with real madrid only (even more than that if we take into account the goals he would score each season with portugal), mbappe until now has peaked at only 42 goals, while playing at the easiest league in europe's top 5. The only problem is that with Vinicius and Rodrygo it will be used as a striker : he is not a 9 and don't want to become one. He had this problem this year in PSG : when Neymar and Messi were there it worked because they all move a lot and swap their positions, with Messi and without Neymar and a 9, it worked less because Mbappé was supposed to be a pivot that he is not. He will always be better with a 9 as CR7 was when he played on the left wing and had Benzema as a 9. Henry had the same difficulty when he turned to a 9 even if it finally worked because Arsenal was so dominant by this time.

comparing this highlights with haalands you can clearly see who is simply better. although haaland broke the prem goalscoring record, golden boot, young player of the season, player of the season, Mbappé is just such a complete player. Leo Messi had a great World Cup and he led Argentina, but Argentina did not win because of him, there is a difference. Le championnat espagnol n'est pas vraiment plus élevé que le championnat de France : ils ont aussi beaucoup d'équipes faibles et derrière le Barca, le Real et l'Atletico, il n'y a pas grand monde. C'est presque pareil en Allemagne et en Italie (même si en Italie le nombre de bon clubs remonte et leurs résultats en coups d'Europe le montrent). Le seul championnat européen qui soit vraiment au-dessus (avec 6 clubs de très bon niveau) c'est la Premier League.

Unpopular opinion Mbappe is better than Messi even in his prime: his dribbling (more explosive, two-footed, more unpredictable and skillful) and finishing (Messi's weak foot is trash compared to Mbappe's) are NEXT LEVEL. Imagine your tired. It’s an hour into the game. The game is 0-0. The ball is all the way on the other side of the pitch, you look over your shoulder, it’s Mbappe making a run trying to get behind you. He’s a bit far so you give him the space. The ball is played over the top behind you anyways…it’s a sprint race. Mbappe somehow beats you to it, and instantly changes direction bringing it onto his strong foot, meanwhile you’re still carrying momentum from the sprint in the same direction. The only problem is that with Vinicius and Rodrygo it will be used as a striker : he is not a 9 and don't want to become one. He had this problem this year in PSG : when Neymar and Messi were there it worked because they all move a lot and swap their positions, with Messi and without Neymar and a 9, it worked less because Mbappé was supposed to be a pivot that he is not. He will always be better with a 9 as CR7 was when he played on the left wing and had Benzema as a 9. Henry had the same difficulty when he turned to a 9 even if it finally worked because Arsenal was so dominant by this time.
