Along the Edge 2023 - Montana Wheat Harvest with an Epic View

2023 ж. 1 Қар.

With a higher-yielding wheat crop this year, I didn't have as much time to pick up the camera and film for this year's harvest video. However, I was still able to put this short film together highlighting the season.
My family farms and ranches Northwest of Winifred, Montana in and around what's called the Missouri River Breaks area, which is comprised of rugged 1,000 foot cliffs that the rivers and drainages have carved out. I work full-time as the owner of AgriStudios, an ag-focused media production company that helps clients share the story of their role in the world's most important industry. However, during harvest, I work full-time in the field until the work is done.

  • I know you guys aren’t John Deere people, but that 9770 is one of the best combines to ever roll out of the harvester works in East Moline, Illinois. It was one of the last Pre-DPF combines from John Deere.

  • I worked for the Peterson in the summer of 2005. Had the privilege of helping harvest in some of these beautiful fields. Good memories of harvest suppers with the Slivka family. Glad it was a good harvest for you and the biggest worry was finding enough bin space!

  • My grandmother grew up in the countryside of the state of Virgi,. She and my great-grandmother used to make pig feet in the oven. It's awesome to see how others on the other side of the globe in a different culture make them. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.

    • If I posted more often, my subscribers:views ratio would be higher. Also, even among the farm channels, the way a video title and thumbnail is will really determine how many clicks it gets.

    • What's wrong with John Deere? I have had experience with them and Case IH, and the John Deere is a far superior machine.

    • These are river breaks, not mountains. The Missouri and Judith rivers and it's tributary drainages carved out the cliffs around these fields.
