Not saying this MARD is better than others but it is rather different and certainly worth looking at. As a rigger I am alweays curious about new ideas, especially when there is genius in its simplicity
This system saved my bacon after a pilot chute in tow. Whew!
If you've had a PCIT malfunction, this system did nothing (other than disconnect) to save your bacon.....
@@g4mxs thanks for the insight I'm fairly new to jumping (still a student)... Wasn't super clear how things happened but I landed with the main stuffed between my legs. I did EPs right and cut away first. Never got to the bottom of it but I feel pretty lucky either way
I still don't get it. I'll have to watch this a couple times! How is this different than the Skyhook? Looks like less or no line twists when spinning.
SKYHOOK can disconnect at any point during the extraction of the freebag leaving you with the standard RSL deployment. Infinity MARD will not disconnect once the "trigger" is pulled. SKYHOOK could take up to 20+ lbs force to disconnect in case of a total malfunction, Infinity MARD will disconnect with just few grams.
@@g4mxs So this is good for line twists because there's very little force needed to release the main? And in a total malfunction it is less likely for main entanglement with the reserve popping out?
