We need more tutorials on how to write full songs with Udio. Also cannot WAIT for Google AI Sandbox.
Udio is over the top next level tech 💯
Udio works great for jazz music, I've been having a lot of fun with it!
Amazing! Do you have a link to any songs?
@@TrevorsTake kzhead.info/sun/eJSxlp2AfXeebH0/bejne.html
Nice video!!!
Thank Trevor, I am saying Kudos to you from Nigeria. Your take on the offerings of UDIO is creative and correct . it helped me a lot to develop a beautiful song thank you
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
This is crazy insane
Good tutorial. 👍
I want to know if there is a good way to get clean vocal acapellas in Udio ? Vocal splitters don't do a great job.
Super ❤
Pretty sweet. Hope it becomes more collaborative in the future i.e. you can have a stem bouncedown of the track that you could customise in a DAW.
You’re right, more customization on the backend would be ideal. With this being their first iteration, who knows what’s coming next
@@TrevorsTake Splice are already doing it with their create feature (sure you are familiar) which is cool if you are stuck for ideas. Exciting times ahead
Can you select the time when extending? Sometimes just the last seconds of a section are bad...
When I posted the video, no. Now, they have a new feature called "select section" when extending that does just that!
So I generated a song which was initially for a goof with funny lyrics. But I did not expect the rendition and vocals to come out really well done like a hit song. So now I want to turn it into a proper piece. Do I just click Remix to keep the vocals and instrumentals the same but take out the lyrics?
Haha love it! Yes, remix with your new lyrics and leave the similarity bar near the middle
@@TrevorsTake oh doh! It will only remix songs 30 seconds long
@@TrevorsTake I think a good tip is to keep the original 30 sec sample just in case you decide to remix in the future.
This thing is crazy. I have decided to create a new KZhead channel for the songs I created. So far, no copyright issues detected by KZhead algorithm. And the songs are amazing.
Thanks for reporting!

What’s the channel
hi, udio or suno better for synthwave and rock?
I like the song I created a lot and would like to have more of this artist in the same style. How aan I create more music from the same "band"?
I have been working with Suno and sent a stem for them to improve the sound. Today, I noticed that the sound quality has improved.
That’s great! Have you used both? How would you say they compare?
@@TrevorsTake Suno is also very impressive with pop songs. But it's totally unable to create classical Music, like a Film Score or smth. Udio does it perfectly.
@@LaurinaHawks agree with u,, Udio is perfect for music score, orchestral , its very impresive than suno, ,, suno for me , maybe is great for Punk, Rock, EDM and Pop
how do you delete a composition from your list of tracks?
click "My creations" -> click "..." button on far right of your track -> click "delete"
We've been using Udio to do a lot of cinematic audio experiments for film scene compositions, as well as some fun cover songs (some of which are on our channel) for us, the biggest thing getting in the way of some seriously great pieces of music was the control factor. Udio only lets you output at 33s at a time, with limited adjustment features that would affect the whole segment of music. Often we found that it was only a tiny section of that 33s segment that we wanted to adjust but we had to throw away the whole piece and completely regenerate. Here's our latest experiment, a cover of Avril Lavigne's 'I'm With You', which for the most part stands up......but there's definitely some disjointed bits in there that could have used some tighter finessing kzhead.info/sun/icmAhsackZGseZs/bejne.htmlsi=h7WmlqKFpd0kVjJj
Completely agree! I've seen this feedback quite a bit, so hopefully the ability to fine tune sections is top of the list for them. This cover is awesome!
Have you tried the new "select section" feature? It lets you cut things from the beginning, end, or both sides of sections when extending. This has helped a lot, but hoping they will allow us to trim anywhere moving forward.
@@TrevorsTake thank you 🙂
@@TrevorsTake no not yet! I haven’t seen this cut feature, thank you for the tip I will take a look! Yes, definitely think the game changer will be exactly as you said, being able to cut/select anywhere from the track to edit.
or just open ableton and make smth expressive and beautiful
For beginners, Unio is fun and simple, but ableton seems to take things to a whole new level. Very cool! What do you use it for?
Sure do agree with you. Being a professional level musician myself, this technology is a gimmick and won't hold out to actually live humans who can sing, play and be original. Hate AI
AI is moving towards realistic for pictures, videos, text, song. We’ll have to adapt as it grows. Agreed that there’s no replacement for real music, especially live
You have that option. But not everyone wants or needs to do it that way. There are many use cases for music. We're not all trying to make the next pop music hit. Sometimes we just need a nice enough background. Just like you COULD program your own operating system for your own computer too, maybe design your own coding language?
How do you give your Published music a nice cover?
Go to "my creations" -> click on "song name" -> click "edit" -> click "edit image"
@@TrevorsTake Thank you so much! 🔥
What is the prompt for female vocals?
I use “male vocalist” and “female vocalist”
@@TrevorsTake Thanx for responding, i figured it out on my own and the song came out great.
Omg
What are the copyright resrictions?
Their FAQ has great info - www.udio.com/faq. Can I use the content I generate using Udio for commercial purposes? For example, can I distribute the music I generate on music streaming platforms? Can I include it in a monetized video on KZhead? Can I license it for use in TV/movies/advertisements/etc.? Yes, as long as the content does not contain copyrighted material that you do not own or have explicit permission to use, and as long as you properly indicate that the content was generated using Udio. See Udio’s Terms of Service for more detailed information about the usage rules for content generated using Udio.
There are no copyright restrictions, it's all yours and you can use it private or commercial BUT you have to credit UDIO in the Metas! So you may NOT claim to be the composer, you are the texter in best case.
Has anyone had luck with getting longer songs to be consistent using custom lyrics? I want it to go Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Solo, Chorus, Outro... but even when I tag them as that, it creates all NEW melody for EACH segment. I want to keep the verses the same tune, and the chorus the same tune, so it sounds like the same song.
What order are you extending in? Also, are you using regular or manual mode?
Yes it works. Be sure to adapt your input. So for example maybe Just: Verse, Chorus for the 1st 30 seconds then extend Chorus, Solo, for the next 30 seconds and the in a last extend operation Chorus and outro. What I mean, it will not recognize to start in the middle if you extend, but put in all of your lyrics.
I prefer Sona but How are we supposed to join the extended tracks into one seamless song?
Glad you’re having luck with it! What do you prefer? When you extend a track, it automatically merges them together. Ex: you start with 32 seconds and extend intro. You now have 64 seconds. If you extend that for the outro, you now have 96 seconds
I wish they could split the vocals and the instrumentals tracks.
It just keeps saying error generating tracks
I had this issue a few times too. I think it's server issues due to popularity. Try again in a few hours and should be good to go!
Making music creation accessible to anyone can never be a bad thing. The world is changing fast, appreciate the info dude ✌️➕❤
Agreed, thanks for watching!
GIRLS. Did you hear this ? “OPEN A.I. MY SUGAR PAPI !”. A flashing mulatta PEACHY da Whuupi seems to know more. Heard on Spotify and You Tube music.
There are deeply problematic copyright infringements baked into every level of this.
Evil
Why?
@@TrevorsTake Guessing some people are afraid of change and embracing the future.
ummmm, thats not a COMPLETE tutorial. Heaps of other effects are missing.
Anything in particular that you were hoping to see that was missed? Happy to make another video!
@TrevorsTake yes, a list and explanation of manual tags such as [ ] and "" " to alter output in lyrics section.
@@PJZombie gotcha, so more of a deep dive on custom lyrics?
@@TrevorsTake yes, it doesn't exclusion very well the extra tags within lyrics to alter the output. Etc the use of: [Drop] [Chorus] "Words" (Guitar solo) Etc etc
hmmm... nope
This is a toy, it ain‘t art. Get over it. (To the video creator)
