I turned off the game when Florida scored the shootout winner… I genuinely just now found out the Leafs won!
Same! I just got done watching the VOD replay, trying to stay awake at 1 AM and being super confused when I saw the new LFR.
I was just about to comment the same thing. I had no clue. Thought the Leafs lost until this moment lol.
I almost did that while watching these highlights.

Woll is incredible and Gregor is an amazing addition to our team, the guy is firing on all cylinders every game, he is gonna have possibly his best season.
Hrs had a number of bad games too. He needs to stay in the net and stop coming out at every opportunity

Literally the only reason Florida made it anywhere was goalieing everyone. Now they get to feel it back. Team is literally a bunch of trash rats.

Woll and Gregor deserve a lot of credit as the Leafs did not play that well tonight and are lucky this was not a bigger blowout (and this is coming from a Leafs fan)
A "bigger blowout" implies that the leafs were beat, from what I seen, the leafs won.

Nah, these goalies be giving up weak ass goals. They don't cover the post good and let a lot of goals in like that this season. They also don't have great positioning in the net.

@@gracehinton__ I didn't, but just wanting to point out how Woll was huge tonight. Gregor is super fast and skillful, I'm happy he is getting the puck in, he has been creating chances for some time now, nice to see his hard work pay off :)
@@purrpul2978 oh yeah, Sammy played huge last year. But we also had a way better defense overall. I still hope Sammy can come back to his good self, but Woll has been the better goalie this whole season so far.

I'm a Leafs fan but honestly don't see a double tap. One of the strangest calls i've seen. Imagine this game at the end of the season to determine a playoff spot for both those teams. Yikes.
The overhead vision during the actual broadcast shows the double tap clear as day

If you slow the second replay (camera behind the player skating in) to 0.5x speed you can see the puck be stopped by the pad then bounce back after hitting the stick a second time. Rodriguez didn’t actually make to swings at it.
I followed Gregor's junior career and was lucky enough to watch him win the Dub in 2019. He was awesome then and is still improving.

Gregor and Woll single-handedly carried the entire team on their backs this whole match. Match was close from start to finish but Canada’s team picks up the W and that’s all that matters

Why didn’t Florida get a penalty when their forechecker basically elbowed Nylander down and he didn’t have the puck?
They missed a few calls for both sides.
As much as i love the leafs, Nylander tried to lean into him first and got out muscled.. so no call in my books if nylander doesn't try to interfere with him first and takes the elbow I could understand the complaint...

I said the same but on the over head shot, you can clearly see it. He shot, it bounced off Woll's pad, went right back to his stick and then he continued with his follow through from his first shot. It happened so quickly that it was all technically 1 motion but it left his stick twice, which is a double tap.

Kinda funny in a way, I love Paul Maurice as a coach but man is he a whiner! He freaked out on the bench over the four minute penalty even though it was a stick right in the face clear as day. The angle they show in this video is terrible. The overhead angle they showed during the game was a clear double tap. He scored on a rebound.

Watch at 0.25x speed and around 9:04 -- still tough to see and, IMO, a dumb rule/call (and I am a Leafs fan). Watch his stick and notice it hits Woll's pad 2x on that play hence the "double tap"
