  • Awesome video and skills! I'm paragliding snowboarding and kiting a lot, but never took snow kiting serious because I`ve only seen it on flat ground. I never knew how much is possible (with enough skill) How often you can you have fun like this? Are there many spot in the alps? Paragliding there is super weather dependent and I'm wondering how it is with snowkiting in such a landscape...

    @XC_Tom@XC_Tom3 жыл бұрын
    • depends how easy you want to get to the spots. By some you just walk out of the car and you start the kite, by some you need to take a lift and for some you need to hike. But yes you need to drive normally soem time by car depending where you are located. In theory you can snowkite always when you have wind, but with clouds it is less fun of course

As a paraglider pilot, I'm already mad if people just step on the lines of my glider, going over them with skis sounds quite bad :) At 5:13: Fun to see that you're also using the Hummel for "Bisen-Soaring", like we paragliders do :)

  • Is there risk of the kite collapsing like paragliders have? How much is a kiting set up for you once you get good at it? I see beginner ones are really cheap, but not sure what level of kite you need to fly and go up mountains. This looks amazing!

    @Steezicus@Steezicus3 жыл бұрын
    • so far we didnt really see a kite collapsing, but companies wont reccoment. For 500€ you get used kite and harness. The more kites you have the better you can chosse the size for the wind :-) So you have more possible snowkitedays. And with old gear I wouldnt reccomend to fly

    @aurelianslavu6797@aurelianslavu67973 жыл бұрын
    • No, check my other videos. You can also go on the peak of the mountain somtimes. It depends on the wind and the terrain. If the wind is gusty or strong and the terrain steep the risk is much higher that something unexpected happens. So in this situations it is better to be 100% safe and just release the kite.
