  • Great recommendation for an advisor to "push the paper." I had a similar person, when they had the REC centers. He had been the supervisor, then retired, of the Great Lakes center. I was literally crawling up the "Hawse Pipe" He obtained a 25 ton mate, Great Lakes/Inland , license for me.

  • Up late scrolling thru KZhead n seen your video. I worked on the navy tugs YTB-790 and YTB-791 in 1992-94. I worked in the engine room. Was really nice seeing your video below deck and how nice the engine room was on that tug. The ones I was on had the 10cyl fairbanks Morris engine with 2 6-71 Detroit engine as generator n sane engine as a fire pump engine. Really miss those days. Your video brought back alot of memories but so much nicer than the 3 shades of gray I remember.

  • They still moving freight rail across from Staten Island to Brooklyn by Barge? I know there was a run from Alabama to Mexico which i would argue is a wee bit further but certainly would validate in the matter of the latter. Put a picture of one of the 2 SpaceX Barges if you want to impress the natives and impress upon those who might be watching "the future is now." Hard to imagine the old coal burning days of yore for New York Harbor but the truly awesome size of this body of water never ceases to amaze. I can see why Cornelius Vanderbilt set up Railroads thinking of that old type of shipping and handling! Imagine running a Railroad without air brakes tho!
