My 2024 Crown Platinum review covers features, technology, multimedia, gadgets, pricing, mpg, window sticker, and much more!
Thanks everyone for your support of my channel. Please watch an ad or two while looking at my videos. It helps and I have great partners!
I have the 2024 Crown XLE. Same as the platinum, without the bells and whistles. The ride is awesome and comfortable. Recently I took it on a 1200 mile road trip. I t got 40 mpg. It has satellite radio and an excellent navigation setup. I owned the Avalon before, which was a great car, however it was harder to get in/out of. And it was a 2007. Nothing wrong with it, just needed to update. Overall the crown is a great investment and a pleasure to drive, and it gets a lot of compliments.
The XLE has a different powertrain than the Platinum. The Platinum has significantly more horsepower and torque at the expense of some fuel economy. Both are still very nice riding vehicles.
What in the hell!!! $57,000??? Unreal anymore!
Yeah at that price point, why not get a Lexus
when you get the top of the line , expect to pay for it. I got mine for less than 40k.
It’s about the same as a $30,000 car in year 2000. But this is many times safer and has far more features.
These are sitting unsold like dog turds on a lawn at my local Toyota dealer.
@@jeffhenjes1722 Interesting. Edmunds indicates there are 1,130 Crowns for sale in the entire U.S. Given that there are 1,277 Toyota dealers in the U.S. that equates to less than 1 per dealer.
They should have kept the Avalon. Much better looking, drove like a Lexus. Great value.
This drives like a Lexus as well. I think that's the point of it. Lexus with a Toyota badge.
And yet, Avalon didn’t sell.
Seems like Toyota Avalon is very nice car but it's sedan and I'm worried
I've driven this, it's basically a Lexus
I test drove this and it’s way quieter (noise insulation) and has softer suspension than my 2017 Lexus CT. Wanted one, but my CT looks miles better 🙃
I’m picking up my limited edition tomorrow morning 🎉🎉🎉
😂
Love our Crown XLE 2024. Not interested in expensive useless distracting gadgets..want a reliable hybrid for in-town driving in California and a nice looking comfortable car for periodic road trips. This vehicle works for us.
I got the same thing for the same reasons. Works for me.
Nice car but the 25 Camry is a better buy in my opinion
Camry has never been a bad choice for a practical car that'll last 200K miles. It's no Lexus for sure, but it's ideal for commuting. I hate those JBL speakers though, what the hell were they thinking?
I like this car, but 57,000 is a lot to pay for.
39000 for the base
The back so ugly
I just think the name of the paint is killer. HEAVY METAL. Danm! That's genius. Love it.
❤❤ you do a good job, my friend! I use your vids to help teach my customers.
❤❤ they're so comfy!
Only if we can get it for ~$40k.
Hi ToyotaJeff, how do you select or activate the POI on the navigation?
Thanks for this review, I have been trying to find out if they that new powertrain actually moves the vehicle at slow speed only on battery. From what I saw it looks like it, just not as much as the 2.5L would probably? My Rav4 LTD can do about a mile at 20-25mph, which is great for carline to pick up kids!
The Crown design should be as its name : a premium fancy looking car like the toyota Century that sells in japan instead of a big camry ..
Any idea why they didn’t put the advanced park on the Grand Highlander?
Why would a car at this price point have a manual adjusting steering wheel and a prop rod for the hood? The Venza Limited at least had power adjusting steering wheel and I think struts for the hood yes Jeff? Also are these run flat tires?
The Japanese name is Crown Crossover. The Crown is Toyota's second-largest car after the Century. The previous generation was exclusive to Japan, but the current model is now available worldwide. Although he is well known in Japan and sells well, he may not sell well in North America as he is a newcomer. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid is the same as the Camry. It's a little big and heavy, so the ride quality is mild, but it has the performance you need. Its appeal is that it has more rear seats and cargo space than the Camry. The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder turbo hybrid generates 349PS/460Nm and exhibits high driving performance. The downside is that it costs $25,000 more than the Camry. We are also looking forward to the design, performance, and price of the Japanese name Crown Estate (a crossover between a wagon and an SUV) scheduled to be released in the summer of 2024.
So, it’s basically a Camry interior?
They need to lower the premium package to about $40,000 if not i rather buy a lexus. Food for thought 🤔
I absolutely love this vehicle😊
That Nice Car
Honestly, why do people care about soft touch on the dashboard areas? I’m not touching it…
It should have a digital review camera mirror and rear ventilated seats for a car that costs 57,000. I am glad we got a grand highlander max platinum instead.
For reasons known only to the saints in heaven, we traded in my Tacoma (which we, now retired, have no need for any longer) for a 2024 Crown Platinum, which I was hesitant to do, but being out voted one to one, as of three weeks ago there she is in our garage. I ended up very impressed with this car, liking it more than I thought at first glance, although it is true that for the price, a Lexus would seem more in par for the cost. The interior could be a bit more detailed rather than somewhat monochrome.
I want the wagon
Does the horn go "Beep, beep"?
I drove an iforce max and it was way faster than I thought.
$57000? GTFO. Maybe 40 grand at best.
wow - my mothers Camry looks just like that .
$57,000 and a manual trunk? Rear camera washer is good though.
Dude is busy making more crown videos😂
Hahaha I’m a hard worker :)
@@Toyotajeff Than do so hard work and show us something about Toyota Crown RS advanced. Toyota Crown limited edition matte edition,😊
Dude check Toyota Crown RS available in Japan, you will be exasperated with this one😂
They need this in a four-wheel-drive, off-road edition😊
Look at the Highlander.
Toyota is having trouble selling this in part because the Crown nomenclature is only used in Japan. 57K and no hood struts.
This or the 2025 Camry? Hmmm...
Hey bud! Check out the all new MAZDA CX70 plugin More power more luxury More space and More Fun.Check this lady out😅
Lol 5ft8in plenty of room in the back seat😂😂 the 2008 toyota Avalon could seat someone over 6ft comfortably in the back seat.
The wheels are too big, they look out of place.
Yeah the 18 or 19 inch wheels look more appropriate plus give a much better and quieter ride.
Love the wheels
isn't this just glorified Camry? 2025 Camry looks almost as good as this one.
the front looks like a bottom feeder, or a catfish.. i like the wheels though
$129 for a screen protector... those port installed options are disgusting.
Black plastic rubber at the bottom of the doors it’s to big makes the car cheap looking
@Toyoya North America No more gas guzzlers, we need plug ins😂
I will NEVER buy a sedan again. It does not matter how great is it.
Why
If it was the crown sport I would, but this model is kinda hideous.
Way too expensive… insane
it seems that Toyota is having problems selling the crown since its launch, you don't see many on the streets anymore, Toyota's team of designers are still weak, I have seen many Honda accords and especially the new cr-v, they have been launched for a short time and many vehicles on the streets different from Toyota models, premium technologies but horrible bodies
I think the problem is that they don't know who it's for or which demographic are they targetting. Being just short of $60K means people with that money will likely go Lexus instead, and for 20K less you get a similar Camry
@@maxstrI don't think you can get any Camry at the amount. I mean 2024-2025 model
Only the rich can afford these cars today. Buy the time pay it off it will be out of production.
No thanks, I’ll buy another Camry
Toyota second ugliest model
Been buying Toyota since 1985. This Crown is fugly.
This is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Bring it down by 10K then we talking!
Way too much
