This girl never fails to astound. This is one of the few types of videos that seems absolutely astounding. She makes it look simple, but it's not simple. Every bolt and nut has to be categorized. Those are just the simple facts. She knows her stuff. Girl you are the greatest.

Lin, I am an engineer who has worked all over China and of course seen these motors working on every construction site. I often wondered how they were constructed since they seemed so simple in operation. It was a pleasure to see you take something that was in such poor shape and restore it the way you did. I hate to say it, but in most western countries, the motor would have been sold for scrap metal and a new one bought. I will be watching your other projects. One request, please use safety glasses to protect your eyes.

I was amazed how the WD40 wasn't used more in the pulldown. You only see the can for tiny amounts of time yet the parts being pulled apart were dry as a bone without any WD40 used. I've seen these motors all through Vietnam on construction sites, they always look old and beaten up. The work done where was beautiful, and somehow she kept her hands clean the entire time

Where did she get her training to tear down and rebuild a motor. This is no willy-nilly talent, where does she get this energy? Who taught her these skills? The Asian community just seams to have this can-do attitude. She would be deeply admired in the USA for how hard she works along with her talent. Im 71 years old now, and throughout my life I have noticed how well respected, and liked, are the hardest working people in our communities, regardless of race, color, creed or any other barriers we experience in life. She is an example that all should emulate.

I admire your skills and hard work. Please, better wear ear mask when doing noisy metal cutting / grinding. I have severe hearing loss because I was too busy / too lazy to wear it when I was a young man. Hearing aids are very expensive. And they won't give you back your full hearing, far from 100%. All the best.

Yep removed broken head bolts with pliers, she even made new bolts , piston rings and other parts and tightened the crankshaft bolts by feel, adjusted tappet clearance visually , amazing skill.
I have never seen her change the rings or install an new piston. Valve servicing, cylinder deglaze or honing, new bearings are never shown. No measurements of critical dimensions or torquing of fasteners. These engines are well worn and abused, at least some them must require these things. There are hundreds of comments that complement her work without anybody noticing these things. Always a nice paint job though.

@@alliswell2114 Neighbor got metal shard in his eye. I'm big on eye protection when grinding or cutting. It's also better as I can concentrate on doing the job instead of squinting to avoid getting crap in my eye - or wasting time getting something out. I wear glasses, which have saved me, but put on a full face mask when stuff is flying... i then feel 'bulletproof'.

Next time you rebuild a diesel motor u should put the motor in a vat to get rid of the rust inside as well as outside and grind the valves and rebore the cylinders sweetheart your doing great I admire your focused when you do a project
I have never seen her do any of this. Always uses the old rings even if they are scored. Nice shiny cylinders, never deglazed and crosshatched. So fake, these engines are not rebuilt, just cleaned and painted. To not make blue smoke she must fill the crankcase with molasses.

Agreed. This young woman has talent but still a lot to learn. I could start a list but in this video safety glasses, leather gloves and don't hurt your back. (Also generally don't use sand when adrasive blasting or install roller bearings with a steel punch).

WOW!!! She is (at least!) 1000 times better than I! Extreme patience, extreme know-how.
I am not surprised that Linguoer can do this, but I am surprised how her hands don't get marked or show the signs of her labours. When I work on heavy, rusty mechanical things, I inevitabily scrape, cut or develop calluses on my hands, yet hers are pristine.
I am healing from bruised and bloody knuckle syndrome everyday because I can't seem to keep my hands clear of those sharp edges and slipping tools. But it is the feeling of success that makes it worth it. (Can't always wear gloves.)
I saw her in one videp where she had a fat blood blister on one of her fingers. She was holding it out at some strange angle for the whole of the video.

Slack old diesel, probably won't hurt it, but i would have put a bit of oil around the piston and valve stems.
@Linguoer If you want to make yourself a valve spring tool that compresses the spring so that you can easily remove the collets holding the spring down you can always use an old G clamp & weld a piece of 40mm wide x 5mm thick x 50mm long flat bar onto the end of screw plate as close to one end of the flat bar on the clamp so that you have about 30mm of flat bar hanging out over the screw plate & then put a large U notch with 45 degree sides in the end of the front of the flat bar so that it goes on top of the spring & the center pin can fit through the large U notch. When you twist the screw of the clamp it will compress the spring making the pin com up allowing you to get at the collets.
I have made a similar tool back in the day by notching a broken socket and welding it onto the clamp

I only saw her use one gasket. Did I miss something? The ingenuity of people is amazing. Imagine what she could do in a proper garage. She would come in handy during the zombie apocalypse.

Not even a head gasket or valve cover gasket.
No valve stem seal replacement, no fixing the valvetrain, no new shaft seal or oil seal. No new crankshaft bearings. But because the engine runs afterwards these steps are obviously not shown…
@@beschlagnahmt Where did she get the spare parts and new gaskets for such an old engine. What engine was that? Was it a Petters or a Cummins , how old was that engine? 30’s or 40’s maybe?

This girl has some kind of photographic memory or a mastery understanding of machines. Her father/mother also must possess such skills. Based on all the special tools she uses, these are objects you can't buy at her age. It had 2b passed down to her. She is an Incredible example to little girls who have these abilities but are not allowed to express it.

She has a type of humility when working on a project. Me as a jack of all trades but master of none im a tool thrower and cuss at the engineer who designed what ever is over complex.
