    • @@Monty_McFly Prodigy said it out his own mouth years ago. I'm sure it might be some other underlying issues, but I'm sticking with the story I know. Plus my story makes more sense when you listen to Havoc talk about it won't no real beef.

      @1stKindChris@1stKindChris Жыл бұрын
    • @@1stKindChris Trust me brotha...E money bags fueled it. During that riff at hot 97 when Jay was on the phone with Nas he called Prodigy and Hav "little niggas". Nas told P. The rest is history. It was real animosity between them. E money bags was a killer for real.

      @Monty_McFly@Monty_McFly Жыл бұрын
    • @@Monty_McFly what year was this? I think my story predates yours

      @1stKindChris@1stKindChris Жыл бұрын
    • @@1stKindChris the snoop line does predate that hot 97 freestyle but your missing my point. Yes P did feel a way when Hov said what he said but it wasn't no real street beef between the 2. It was only about the music. The actual beef itself? On some "if I see you in the streets guns might come out" type beef? That hot 97 freestyle took it there. Hov had an artist named H money bags but he also knew E money bags and knew that been his name for years. When he introduced H money bags on hot 97, E money bags was with P listening to it. E became irate. He asked P to call the station. P called and got Hov on the phone. Hov, thinking everything was cool, got on the phone with P. Then P goes "hold on someone wants to talk to you." He passes the phone to E. E proceeds to threaten Hov and tells him H money bags better change his name or else. E money bags was a shoot a nigga asks questions later type dude. Real street cred. Hov knew he was in some shit so he called Nas since Nas was also tight with E (E was born in Brooklyn but raised in Queens). Asked Nas what was going on with E. Then proceeds to say "got these little niggas (mobb deep) calling me." Nas calls P and asked what happened and tells him what Hov said. From that point on, because E money bags wasn't a dude you play with, it was on sight. E money bags was real tight with Prodigy and Nas. That's when it turned into official street beef. When Kenneth Supreme McGriff sent a hit squad to kill E money bags Prodigy took that very hard. They were real tight.

  • On some real ish, I really fell right back then Mobb Deep was ready to go at pac and them real hard and drop a gym on them is a super classic it just goes over people's heads because they are so in love with Tupac . The difference is that havocs beats were so dope that they would have won the musical war in the long run just my opinion... And Prodigy was really coming with the lyrics. @ronaldjames7843@ronaldjames7843 Жыл бұрын
    • Chino XL copped a plea and tried to fake like he wasn't dissing him tho when he clearly was. DMX did say his name but 2Pac had no clue who DMX was. DMX jumped in that and it had nothing to do with him, so he can get his name out there in my opinion. Basically trying to come up off of using Pac name.

      @derrickhoward1543@derrickhoward154311 ай бұрын
    • Drop A Gem on Em was originally released as a single towards the end of August 96 there's nothing subliminal about that. If the track is only about 1 person name dropping isn't really necessary especially if it's being promoted as a single.

NYC was just happy to have some sort of diss or response to Pac at the time that no one paid attention at how little impact and longevity the lyrics had. They didn't even drop the man's name in the song. Young people that listen to that song now have no idea it was a Pac diss without a backstory. • That beef wasn't really nun. P dissed the lil homie gave him a verse he already did (basically took son money) & then Tru life and his boys got extremely lucky bcuz they showed up to the studio & Alchemist at the time was new, he buzzed them in by accident & they rushed the studio fought with the Infamous Mobb drew guns & had some of the members run outside the studio naked. That part was fucked up but P & Hav wasn't there & if they were Alchemist probably wouldn't have been able to get them inside bcuz P or Hav would've most likely peeped game. Years later P & Tru got together took a pic wit P, his son & I believe Ron Artest & that was that.

He was way more skilled as an MC than he gets credit for cause he’s mostly known for his heartfelt radio singles. All Eyez On Me has seriously impressive flow and writing.
