  • The amount of roughing the passer calls is absolutely crazy. The NFL should just be two hand touch now... The safeties are not allowed to hit a "defenseless" receiver, yet QBs keep on throwing hospital passes and the DBs are punished for horrible decisions.

    • If they're going to be that bad about calls on the QB, just change it to no sacking the QB at all, only going for his arm and the ball.. Similar to roughing the kicker rules. Might as well, at this point..

    • I think that if a tackle is legal to do on a wide reciever or rb, it is legal to do on a qb. If the qb has the ball, it should be very egregious like a body slam for it not to count. I saw Hasson Reddick get called for RTP but he was already diving, he can't stop himself. These players are 250-300 lbs. They can't stop themselves in less than a second. QBs are protected too much.

    @DeeDaKang1@DeeDaKang14 ай бұрын
    • The NFL has internally admitted that Garrett, Watt, and Parsons all must be officiated "differently" to avoid game stoppages with a half dozen penalties per game. Oddly enough, they historically have not officiated similar caliber players in this manner. Before it was the double team, now they just tackle the best DE and perhaps get one penalty a game for the nonsense. NFL officiating is comically bad, I could officiate the game better from my couch.

    • @SuterBowling I'm a lifelong Browns fan myself, haven't missed a game since 1994. Every week I'm hollering at the TV on Myles behalf... I'm so frustrated for the guy, they need to allow HoF caliber players to dominate the game. I'm not saying special treatment, just let them play the game like any other player. I don't see anyone claiming Tyrek Hill is such a dominant WR that DBs should be allowed to hold him. You've got offenses getting every call, defenses getting held at record levels, and I'm not totally convinced the NFL isn't trying to phase out the majority of special teams.

He missed so many calls it is impossible to understand. They say that teams can send in tape of plays and ask why a penalty was called or not. Dallas should NEVER send in any tape on Parsons. • The NFL must be encouraging the refs to make horrible calls every week. That is the only explanation. When the refs go over the games each week for review, one would think that they would be getting better at making calls on the field, but there is absolutely no improvement at all.

  • The first one was delay of game because the defender thought Jalen fumbled, so he grabbed the ball which didn’t allow the eagles to spike the ball. It’s like when the defender won’t let the offensive player get up to spike the ball. I don’t really see how it’s a bad call

    @nicholasruhling6429@nicholasruhling64294 ай бұрын
    • Not saying the refs are good and cool but the refs rarely get to the replay while Gene does, that's why he can make the call plus the refs are really old. NFL just needs to find away to help the refs out like a sky judge and they call the penalties since they see it from above and have replay to make the correct call

  • I may be on the wrong side here, but that first clip I instantly thought it was a delay from the giants. You can’t just hold the QB down like that, even though Jalen should’ve run out of bounds. He still was wrapped around him, and stayed on for a few extra seconds when he probably shouldn’t have. I could be wrong though, just instantly rang out to me when watching live.

  • I think more things need to be reviewed since the refs have trouble seeing things at full speed. I think most people can agree we are tired of watching instigators and floppers rewarded for starting things and acting. Maybe it is time to review personal fouls. There is a an enormous double standard on offense and defense. Offensive players lower their heads or fall to create helmet contact all the time with no call but the defense is expected to always avoid this contact. In addition the bar is too high for changing a call. I had no doubt live and on replay that Bobo caught the ball in the Seahawks game. His hands were under the ball with control. Did the refs forget that the ball can touch the ground if you have control? Another example of a stands call that should have been overturned was the fumble in the Patriots vs Broncos game where the Broncos player recovered the fumble but a Patriots player took the ball away after the recovery.
