It's episode three of James May's mail time and it's about to get super weird. We've had some interesting fan mail in the previous two episodes, but some of these presents take things to a whole new level. Cat lovers beware...

The Trabant is the best out out of the 3 for Richard Hammond. It's very small (even the full-size original), but Hammond is small enough to fit into it comfortably. Plus it doesn't go fast enough for Hammond to crash.

It's as iconic as the man himself.
You can see it as far back as season 3 of Top gear, only it wasn't pink but red back then, because the color hadn't faded yet.
I love how frankly yet respectfully he handled that 14 year old's letter. At first I was like, omg James you're crushing this child's dreams, but then you saved it.

I love the rejection letter. Like someone at the company spotted the stack of them and thought "hey, this might be a funny thing to send to James May's Mail Time". The fact it's a pre-made letter with blanks to fill in a name adds even more to the ridiculousness of it.

The bullet appears to be a 7.62mm (I'd say 150 grain ) bullet that does not have a "full metal jacket", but is only partially jacketed in copper. The dark material visible at the rear is the interior lead of the bullet. Tracer rounds have an orange tip at that caliber (generally)

Clipping hair and whiskers from pets is based off of the English tradition of clipping a loved ones hair from Victorian times. The clippings would oft be used to make a locket, an artistic collage, or some similar small object which one could keep and view on a regular basis as a remembrance. My family is Scotch-Irish-English and still carry on the tradition to this day, though typically we don't make anything out of the clippings but rather include them in a remembrance book with photos, letters, and other small personal items of the deceased.

Dear James May I would appreciate the rejection letter from Woolworths as I have just recently gained a position as an apprentice technician at Mercedes Benz!
