"I can feel it in my base chakra" "Probably trapped wind"
Yup, those lines were in the clip alright
Did they watch Naruto hahahhaha
@Pickle Bearg lol get a life
🤣🤣🤣.... yep, that made me chuckle!
@@nadzirahsalwa says the one who watches anime.
I acted in this play years ago as the second wife! It’s an absolute riot lol, I’m pretty excited to see how this remake turns out 😊
Same here, but I was Elvira 👻 When I saw the title I got so excited and am so looking forward to seeing the movie 🧐
Wow, we've got actors here! 🤩
"Once and for all Charles....What the hell does this mean?" I did backstage effects (mostly operated a fog machine when the ghosts entered) That was my favorite line! What a way to end a scene. Our ghosts were painted in purples and greys. They looked great. Whenever I wasn't backstage I was watching.
toriboy25 Such a great line! They had made an exact replica of my day costume in whites and grey. I came through a window and said that line, had the audience in stitches. Really hard not to laugh
Adaptation, not remake.
This is how you redeem yourself after starring in Cats.
It’s judi dench, she doesn’t need to redeem herself
John Smith Ever.
ahahahaahahahaha my sides hurt from laughing XD
We call her Judy Bloody Dench at our house.
John Smith periodt
"I do hope she's not still lactating." When I say I like comedies, this is what I'm talking about
wit, genuine wit.
This actually looks hilarious oh my god.
the writing has got to be the perfect groundwork for a hilarious, witty comedy, Noel Coward no less !!
first good comedy movie we get in years... 👏👏
Dan Stevens can do anything. It's just so damn difficult to watch anything he's in because his face -- his hair, his eyes and his voice, are completely intoxicating and a complete distraction!! The most perfect man on the planet.
Agreed
Saw this on Broadway with Richard Chamberlain and Blythe Danner. Loved it. Can't wait to see this.
Oh, wow, look so stylish, it’s will be a great movie!
What trippy parallel universe David created for himself now?
Downton Abbey and Legion is colliding!
Dumb ass it’s an old play an film extremely well known!
@@hanniffydinn6019 Legion is a tv show where Dan Stevens plays a schizo/multiple personality disorder who's posesses by a spirit. Oh, and he also has limitless power. The series plays in the XMen universe. He constantly imagines himself into different scenarios and this movie might be one of the more normal ones. It's a great show, especially if you like 70s chic.
Joonha Shcal I realised the reference afterwards even though I’ve seen the show! I liked season 1, then style of storytelling just got annoying. I actually remember the blithe spirit old film much better, it’s a fantastic fun film/story. Dan Stevens is such a good actor, so looking forward to this! 🤯
@@MrWhangdoodles legion was a masterpiece kind of relatable in way
Waiting for the day Isla Fisher gets to be "THE" girl.
I don't know. You know how Hollywood gets once you hit 40.
So we’re just gonna pretend like Hot Rod never happened?
@@sarahogborn8024 I never watched it.
Confessions of a Shopaholic
She was in Definitely Maybe
Saw the 1987 revival of the play on Broadway. It starred - get this - Richard Chamberlain, Blythe Danner, Judith Ivey, and Geraldine Page who passed away during the run. Tom Cruise and his then wife Mimi Rogers were sitting four rows behind me. Just wow.
Randy Seay Wow 😳
good writing can stand to have sequels, it's that good. !
And Judith Ivey also worked with Dan Stevens in the 2012 Broadway revival, "The Heiress"!!
The original film adaption is one of my absolute favourites so I feel terribly compelled to watch and judge this
I always loved the b&w movie version, used to watch it with my grandma. Looking forward to this.
This looks great! I'm seeing Julian Rhind-Hutt popping up a lot lately. He's a versatile actor.
Oh, this looks promising !!! i clicked here because of Ms Dench, who always brings a lot to a performance. Good writing is guaranteed and that is the groundwork of any entertainment.
What have they done to one of the best plays ever written? No no no
I cannot wait to see this movie! I loved the movie with Rex Harrison.
*Dan Stevens is brilliant!* *I wanna see him in MCU during the Multiverse of Madness.*
Dan ❤️
As Legion, right?
Nice to see they’re making 90’s type movies in 2020
Did this play at school, loved it!
Just came from watching this, loved it! It was silly but it's what I was expecting when I went into it! Now I want to read/see the original play and watch the first movie. In other words, loved it!
Oh my gosh, it's Dan Stevens!!! This looks great!!!
This is the most refreshing preview in a while! It's fun that Charles will be a screenwriter instead of a novelist, so they could open the film up to Pinewood Studios in the 30's. Dan Stevens might be terrific, though the natural choice might've been Ralph Fiennes. I found Leslie Mann's accent a bit wanting as Elvira though she's right for the role. And Judi Dench will be marvelous as Mme. Arcati! Can't wait.
They've gone and made this a lot sillier than the original! A big change: Madame Arcati in the play and 1945 film is an obscure village eccentric, not a famous stage attraction.
What have all of you (MUDERERS !) done? Insanely halirious ! For me, this film is next to perfection. Especially impress at Adaptive Screenplay, Costume Designer, Editing (the very last part), Background Sound & Songs. And looking forward to it, Mr. Hall.
Dan Stevens? Definitely want to see it now
This is the perfect amount of crazy and hilarious mixed together. I'm so in.
The play was Spectacular and the 1945 version was well done staring Rex Harrison I look forward to this one!
*Classic Line* : "I NEED DIVINE INTERVENTION"
ah, yes. the great brit wit. sign me up. also, see the original version. its still good. the 1945 version with Rex Harrison.
Looks like little or none of the great wit's witticisms have made it into this version.
Loved the original and I don't usually like old movies, that and "Rebecca" although the laughs in that one are less intentional
@@Victor1930 : Yeah, my biggest fear is that there's about as much Noel Coward in this as there is Lewis Carroll in Tim Burton's "Alice".
@@mizzdeester3958 In the original movie the lines are not played with such silliness. Modern times, "the age of the fart joke is king", subtlely and class fly out the window.
@@DaveLH omg yes. I was outraged with his Alice in Wonderland, and after seeing this version of Blithe Spirit, my rage is renewed.
This actually looks amazing
The funny thing about all of this is that this movie has been on my laptop drive for a while and I have been avoiding it thinking that I would scare myself silly as a horror movie not knowing what it was all about and today at midday I plucked up the courage to watch it and I've had some serious chuckles watching this as it's just so funny, so humorous and I just loved it to bits and I guess the punchline to all of this is don't judge a book by its cover lol. I can't remember when I downloaded it but I honestly thought it was the most macabre horror movie ever and was pleasantly surprised today, very very funny Absolutely love Judi Dench, Dame Judi Dench should I say, particularly in the movie Chocolat 💞
How dare you not state Dan Stevens in this video's label!!! I'm indignant!
Dan Stevens just looks the best in these outfits 😅
I just played Madame Arcati last fall! I can't wait to watch this remake
I'm seriously loving 1900s vibes going on. The clothes look spectacular and everything is just incredible. Funny too. I'm like what Netflix is bringing out. At least during this time
Watch the original with Rex Harrison. It’s far superior than this rubbish and the fashion is wonderful
@@Nina5144 Was this bad? Alright. I'll check out the Rex Harrison version
I acted in a local stage production of this in early 2000s as Elvira. What a fun time.
Hilarious film. Leslie Mann is the funniest woman in Hollywood right now and this film showcases that fact.
Waiting to watch this one.....another one from Dame Judy Dench....Wonderful!! Cheers from India!!
Oh boy... I'm in😁
am i, dare i say it? actually looking forward to a remake?
i'd call it more of an adaptation of the original stage play.
@@joshadcock1035 ... i mean it's all semantics
Ghod! I can't wait for this!
Man I love the original film and play! Good casting here! 😎
I love Leslie Mann with a pure and deep abiding love
Oh so THAT’s why she looks familiar!
I met her on an elevator in Chicago, once. She has the most delightful voice in person.
@@rhondaneuhaus1596 I am afraid I would get on my knees and propose if I was in an elevator with her
This looks delightfully old school and perfectly cast
That looks amazing. Great cast.
This looks really good and fun. Reminds me of the older movie All Of Me.
Big fan of Leslie Mann I am definitely going to watch this.
In my acting i have a piece on this thungie. We just decided to play it and boom! A trailer pops up. Great.
One of absolute faves
The invisible man. And now, the Invisible Woman? And both are each other's exes
This looks fabulous 🦋
Clicked for the title, would've clicked for Dan Stevens XD
I’m soo excited to see this !! First memory of a film (I was only 5 !!)
Ah, the lovely Julian Rhind Tutt 💕
I played the Doctor in this years ago. Im excited.
I had do a set design project for my theater class and it was an interesting experience
Unique! I love it!
I was about to write 'oh dear', but this looks rather good.
This looks soo good and funny!
I love reading British comments = it is a mindful of information about other actors / plays - and you can do it with "true style". Thanks.
Dan Stevens was great in Beauty & The Beast and Downtown Abbey and Blithe Spirit I can't wait to see this movie I love British Comedy.
" I'd have to go into a trance" *Gets possessed by R2D2*
Trapped wind😂 seriously?? Im in!!😀
I enjoyed this.
I picked this play for my 9th grade book report. So cool they're making it a movie!
It's already a movie, and hilarious. Please don't waste a nickel on the recent remake, an embarrassing mess. Talented bunch of actors in a horrid remake I'm sure they'll regret forever. Where's Margaret Rutherford when you need her?!
I saw the play I loved it!
You know it's going to be good when you watch the trailer twice.
Can't wait to see this!
Looks like a fun movie to watch
I loved the original. I hope this remake is as good.
Adore Dan Stevens.
i love the cast. looks promising.
Definitely watching
Oh like this play! Hope it's gonna be good
This is a very witty play! But I first saw this as an old classic film with Rex Harrison. So funny!
oh my,my,my. what fun!! must watch.
Can't wait to watch this😂😂😂
I'm currently in a production of this and im extremely exited fir this movie
Yes yes yes!!! Also, Dame Dench seems to be hard at work this year.
Love love love the black and red outfit on leslie mann
Well colour me surprised, this looks fantastic
I think i'm gonna love this... I never onew the story tho... Cool!!!
I want to watch this!!!
Dan Stevens ❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
Yes please looks good
MATTHEW
This looks so fun
Latest release date 25th Dec 2020 ! Hmmm probably not, but can't wait to see this when we can
I can't believe Leslie Mann is in a movie that's not directed, produced, or written by her husband. Hold up! Her daughters aren't in it either?! WOW!!!
Oh I'll watch anything with Leslie Mann in it
The (very) great Dame Judi Dench.
This looks promising 🥰
The original from 1945 still stands today as a great treat to watch. This best live up to that because often remakes are simply shoddy replacements. This was a classic and one of my all time favs, mainly because of Margaret Rutherford's portrayal of Madam Arcati a class act, let alone the other actors in it. Pure Sunday afternoon joy. Rex Harrison ... Charles Condomine Constance Cummings ... Ruth Condomine Kay Hammond ... Elvira Condomine Margaret Rutherford ... Madame Arcati Hugh Wakefield ... Dr. George Bradman Joyce Carey ... Violet Bradman Jacqueline Clarke... Edith (as Jaqueline Clarke)
Agreed! Not sure how I feel about the remake. The original is one of my favorite movies
Looks good!!!
Hope this is good Adore this film.
I need to watch this movie
Nice movie.
Tho BLITHE she still can SEE! LOVE YOU JUDI DENCH!!!!😘
what a coincidence i'm doing this for an intro to theater assignment
