Happy new year and best wishes to you Shane ! Amazing video as always -Loris
Appreciate it
Great video! A definite in-depth view of the different engines. I used to own a 77 240D. Then I still have my 92 300 2.5. turbo. Unfortunately I was driving and it started pouring white smoke and a very bad knock?. I'll be trying to figure my DIY repairs this spring. I'm very happy to hear that you build injection pumps. Hopefully I'll be able to get one?
Hi Shane, Nice video. One correction on the 603 that is not a trap oxidizer that is a replacement pipe that Mercedes came up with to replace the trap oxidizer. The TO was moved to below the car. In fact, for a time (may still be available), if you still had a car with TO, Mercedes will replace the turbo, exhaust system and the TO with this pipe configuration for free. I had mine done in 2010.
Ah, I see. Thanks for sharing. Good to know.
The best 603 is the naturally aspirated one i have here in Australia yes little slower but bullet proof and simple.
ur awesome keep it up!!!
13:20 where'd you get that cap for the ALDA? Mine currently doesn't have anything
What are the lengths of the different versions?
Thanks for your very informative clip. Are the 0M606s easy to source in the US as it is almost impossible to find them in AUS?
They are rare here too. I sell complete engines though. info@benzinjection.com
Hi friend, i though that standard turbos had 6 mm IP element, but has 5.5 as the natural aspirated engine IP or am i wrong?
Only the om605/6 turbo engines with EDC pumps got 6mm elements. All others are 5.5
Hi! New subscriber, I have the Ssangyong 2.9 liter td 602 clone in my 2006 Musso. I have an M series Bosch injector pump running 5.5s, and am wondering if skipping the 6mm and installing 7mm elements would be of any benefit. Do the 7s not fit, or are the 6s just better for the application?
It depends on your power goal. 6 mm are good for 90-100 CC. They an make more, but its too long of an injection duration, not good. 7 to 8 mm is recommended for wanting more than 90 CC.
@@BenzInjection thanks heaps!
How are you waste gating the 602 in the yoda?
HE221 has internal wastegate
@@BenzInjection I might just have to use one of those then. I’d like to keep internal gates. Thank you!
