    • @@newdinowizard Make a world using World paint, Mc edit ect. Don't use blocks that don't exist on xbox, Then convert your world from java to bedrock, & download file downloader+my files explorer on your xbox one. Then transfer your world onto xbox one. it actually works & It's pretty simple. You can do the same with pc java texture packs etc

  • The steepness value is the best thing to use for mountains imo. It lets you have grass on flat parts and stone on the edges, and it looks much more natural than just spraying on a texture past a certain height

  • I only just got into Minecraft (yeah yeah, I know I'm super late to the party) and I always thought people always made those epic maps block by block. Had no idea the process could be this easy. Nice tutorial, definitely gonna rewatch a few times to learn the basics.

    • go place, by hand, all the blocks in a 100x100x100 cube and you'll understand why hand-building solid mountains varies from impractical to impossible depending on size. even just the outer "shell" of a hollow mountain would be a monstrous task hint: if you place 4 blocks a second, it will take you 69 hours to finish that cube

I thought nothing of what they had done until they told me about it... the youtubers I mean... and when I knew this this made me put the puzzle pieces together lol now im here in muddy farmer pants sitting down on my wooden chair learning how to do world painter...   • I've been writing a story in my spare time, and as I was coming up with the setting, I thought it would be a really good idea to recreate it in Minecraft to get a feel for it physically, but due to the strange shape I had in mind, I thought it would either look unnatural or take forever. This will definitely be a useful tool. Thank you very much, I'll be sure to check it out

  • Cool thing about world painter, you can export the map as a height map. This means you can use the map you just made in other programs like unity or Unreal engine.

  • I am making a world that is custom made for a story I'm developing, I already have a map, and i thought I would have to terraform by hand or get a server with plugins. This is so much easier and runs so smoothly!! Thank you for making this incredible tutorial. If you are planning on going more in depth on what you can do with the program i will definitely watch the video even if it's hours long.

  • Will you do a world painter livestream? Like a full or full-ish lenght 1-2 hour livestream where we can watch you make a fully polished world? Or would you consider doing a World Painter Tutorial series and make a multi terrain map? I'm not sure why but every time I try to make a world in WP it always comes out way too sharp and blocky... I've seen dozens of World Painter Tutorials and your's was the shortest and most informative that I've seen to date. I love it Thank you!!!

    • It's probably because you use the mountain tool. The mountain tool is VERY sharp. Its like dragging the mountain in its entirety out of the ground on a string, and usually ends too steep. Try using the height tool with full power

  • To get the PNG pictures into the folder, drag them onto the desktop and then into the folder. After that close it like Jera said and reopen the program. It will now be in a separate "tab" where the brushes are.

  • A few questions: Does the world randomly generate around this? If terrains are checked, and there is Deep Ocean, would the Ocean Monument spawn there? And what about Dungeons and end portals?

    • 1. yes, if you set it to do so. you can have it border off into ocean or the void if you want- and to have infinite bedrock walls too if that floats your goat. 2. yep, yep, yep

    • There is an option where you can merge an existing world with your creation on worldpainter. There you can select which tiles (Chunks) get merged to the new world. But I dont think its going to be more precise than in chunks
