Ukrainians were very foolish in believing that the US and its various vassals would support them for as long as it takes. As if they never picked up a history book and read the chapters on Vietnam and Afghanistan, to name a few. They where in the perfect position to play both sides against each other and remain neutral. At that point the biggest enemy would've been corruption. There is no reason for the country to be so poor, it had incredible potential. All squandered and for what?
