Can be daunting to start creating your own modlist. I've tried many mods with varying degrees of success. One of the biggest improvements of my modding experience comes from swapping Vortex to MO2, turns out Vortex was causing a lot of my issues. The ability to manually alter your Load Order and the fact you don't add most mod files directly to the game directory is a massive help. • Definitely recommend them along with all of Simon's other mods like Scion and Thaumaturgy! Simon's mods all synergize really well to create a cohesive vanilla+ experience, expanding on and refining existing mechanics instead of adding bloat with a bunch of new mechanics

      @Kaiserker@Kaiserker Жыл бұрын
    • Same!

      @KismetLizard@KismetLizard Жыл бұрын
    • @@Kaiserker Exactly! That's what a V+ or simplified modlist needs- not an atom bomb of extra stuff, but improvement of mechanics, QoL features, maybe a few immersion and light town/location/interior overhaul mods, and an easy facelift! Skyrim is amazing on its own, but it just needs a little booster seat for the modern day. As far as character progression and mechanics go, Simon's mods are a great and underrated start. Apothecary gets no attention, but it's a mod I can't play without these days. Mysticism and Thaumaturgy do a great job of bringing back some effects from previous games in a balanced and vanilla friendly way. Adamant takes the perk system and reworks the progression to make more sense, but it won't smack you in the head with an almost overwhelming mountain of new perks and mechanics. Currently looking at maybe trying a new perk mod called Master of One... It changes perks dramatically by making ever perk have both positive and negative effects. If only more magic mods were patched in besides mysticism... would be a no brainer, especially when combined with Experience, which is another essential mod I refuse to play without now.

  • Thanks for the vid, everything works fine! Do you know how to get rid of the mini black bars on the screen? I'm not talking about the enb thing, i disabled the bars but there is still a mini black frame on the screen? Also do you know which particular mod makes my game run in 50fps? I have 3060gpu and i would love to run the game in at least 60fps

  • Good modlist. Simple but it look like a modlist that the author of the video REALLY USE FOR GAMEPLAY and not some fancy stuff used only for videos

  • It's my first time modding (and playing skyrim) and your guide has been very helpful. I had a lot of fun installing the mods with the list you provided. I was just wondering would the performace be the same when I just use LOOT instead of manually setting the mods in order?

    @seasaItlatte@seasaItlatte11 ай бұрын
    • Performance would be the same yeah, Loot can only sort plugins keep in mind so little texture packs you may have to sort yourself.

  • I plan to replay Skyrim before Starfield release, gonna try your modpack, can't wait to play it btw I am noob at modding so I have to ask, how did you like overwrite Skyrim 202X with Illustrious whiterun ? don't those two mods like fight each other ? yes as you can see I am really modding noob, so ... did you like first installed skyrim 202X and then Illustrious whiterun ? or what ? :DDD Btw 2 mods I can't live without is Inigo aka best follower ever and Equipping Overhaul or any variation to it, because I love to have visible multiple weapons on me like bow, sword, dagger :D

  • Hopefully you will upload a video version of a tutorial for this one (from vanilla skyrim SE to this).. Tried to follow the written doc, faces some issues. I must be that dumb. huhuhuhu

  • Great video I have been looking for a LO with few mods but on Xbox its kinda hard can you do a LO xbox oriented with less of 30 mods?

  • Been thinking about trying a modded skyrim run but I was kinda scared off by how daunting it seemed to get everything to work together. Then I saw this video & it provides exactly what I was looking for. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • Awesome list, will give it a try. How taxing is the ENB? I have a 5700x and RTX 3070 for reference.

  • Thank you for sharing that - Are the mods listed in the notes in the proper load order too?

    @SaberTech01@SaberTech01 Жыл бұрын
    • Load order wouldn't really matter as must of them touch different things - you must load parallax caves over skyrim remastered caves though

  • Hey redshift thanks for the video. Im pretty new to modding just getting it setup. When you say your modlist is in correct load order is that the whole way down? so if I load them all in order top to bottom like in doc(first is Static Mesh Improvement -> Last is Compass Navigation Overhaul)

  • My mods included a variation on people's size, age and proportion. It's surprising how effective it is to see the variation in game.

  • I love light mod lists and am going to immediately start using this as a base. I think afterwards for my own tastes I will focus on adding some first-person based combat changes. Like maybe an archery overhaul and FP animation changes. Maybe also something to up the combat difficulty a bit without being spongy. Lastly any major unofficial patches and basic stuff. Trying to think of how I can get those things with minimal mod count.

    @jjongeneel22@jjongeneel22 Жыл бұрын
    • Also, do you have a "full list" you can share, adding patches and stuff, or is this literally it? Thanks for the video btw!

      @jjongeneel22@jjongeneel22 Жыл бұрын
    • @@jjongeneel22 My full list is 1000+ mods - these are just the heavy-hitters. I made a copy+patse of my LO on the about section of my channel

  • Any chance you’ll release a video on your mod management, preferred Skyrim version, etc? I feel like I’m not alone in saying that people are drawn to your overall modding style, not just 1 or 2 mods you recommend. I know I would greatly appreciate an outline on how you have things set up. I would pay for it in fact lol.
