This was so much easier when I found out Agro would auto-pilot when aiming the bow, and L2 focuses on the collosus

Same here. This one was one of the easiest colossus yet it took me ages to figure out how to beat him, until I had to saw a video at that time and realize that Agro could auto-pilot...

Fun fact: If you stab its first sigil only four times, the third stab being slightly weaker than full, and then go on to fully stab the other sigil, yiu can end this battle in one encounter

@@Dinoman972 still sounds better on ps2/3. The problem with the ps4 version is for example the timing when the music kicks in. In the ps2/3 version both a messenger from behind and counterattack play right away after the intro or when it crashes into the wall. The ps4 has long pauses. Also some really sound better in the original. The ps4 if i am not mistaken was redone similar to how KH soundrack was redone for the remastered version.
PS2 soundtracks sound more powerful in general.

@@TheGoodCrusader "the worm" was an unused colossus that never made it pass concept really. Imagine dirge but with just a head of teeth. Just search for "unused/scrapped" colossi

@@6ooqiepopshat They're pieces of dorman or doorman or durman, whatever the hell the name is. That's the guy who's telling wander what to do. Wander kills all the colossi, and is violently penetrated by the "pieces" that come from each colossi, so I suppose it takes some inspiration from greek mythology. TL;DR each colossus is a piece of the god that's dishing out orders to Wander
They're pieces of what composses the Almagamation of beings called dormin Dormin was divided into several pieces,which the Colossi being used as vessels for each piece

@Somebody Else Avion is neutral, he literally needs you to come to his place, throw stuff at him in order to provoke him, and only then will he even vaguely attempt to kill you
Tbh I saw them as animals reacting to a weird scary thing (like elephants scared of a mouse) but first they all react with curiosity... And Quadratus just reacts as us when any insect gets too close, or maybe they feel Dormin's blade and instinctively know why are you there (theory tho)

this is my 3rd favorite colossus.
If that was me in real life, I would give up immediately because I suck with a bow. Also is this colossus' eyes ever blue?
I can say we all feel guilt when we defeat a Colossi. But not Dirge.
I always had a small theory that of all the Colossus' in the game Dirge may have been stalking you throughout the game, keeping an eye on you as he swam the vast deserts and lands, then when his markings were activated, he figures it was time to use what he'd learned from Wanders combat styles to slay the Slayer of giants...however he didn't count on the true power of having a friend by your side. Had agro not been there, Wander would have died there.

Sadly, these are peaceful beast ( DONT continue if you don’t want to be spoiled.) and the person who tells you to kill them, is using you.

Well, while killing them is indeed sad because Wander is the one attacking them, the only ones that are actually peaceful are Phalanx and, to some extent, Avion and Hydrus. Everyone else attacks you on sight without hesitation, and it doesn't always seem like it's on self defense (Dirge, Celosia and Cenobia are great examples). Plus, can we really say Dormin was manipulating Wander? They told him reviving Mono could have heavy consecuences from the start, but Wander agreed anyway. And we don't even know if their motivations we're malicious at all; all we know is that lord Emon hates them and that he was the one who sealed their power inside the Colossi (and given that he's the one who killed Mono in the first place, he's probably not the hero here).
@@hieutruong729 Dormin was divided into sixteen pieces and each of those pieces were placed into a Colossus. The Colossus were guardians of those pieces.

Dirge is alright. Cool sand snake with a great theme, but it's not really interesting, nor is it boring. The middle of the pack if you will. Still a good one, but I would rather fight most other colossi than Dirge.
It could have been bigger, like sandworms of Dune.
