A horrifying discovery of rat body parts in bread has prompted a large food recall in Japan. Pasco Shikishima Corporation said on May 8, 2024, that it recalled more than 100,000 loaves of bread from shelves and halted production in Tokyo. The latest incident to mar the country’s reputation for high standards and cleanliness followed a recent spate of food poisonings and recalls.

On the other hand, instead of raising prices, they try as much as possible to covertly lower the quantity, then the quality, of processed food. Though prices raise eventually. @xoxoxyx@xoxoxyx9 күн бұрын
    • @@xoxoxyx Nah, they're quite common in big urban areas, much like anywhere else in the world. I'm also surprised to hear Pasco is more expensive than other brands -- in my experience (I also live in Japan), Pasco is the cheap stuff. But then, I'm comparing it with actual bakery bread, and store-baked bread from department store chains like Seiyu, so I guess it's not really a fair comparison. I guess it is more expensive than, say, 7-11 bread -- but I also find that kind of odd, thinking about it, as 7-11 bread is generally better in every regard. Pasco is basically last resort bread. When nothing else is available, and you just REALLY NEED BREAD NOW. Heheh.

    • Dude, Japan today is not Japan back in 80s or 90s,.me and alot of my friend alway thinking that Japanese society kind of stuck in early 2000s., right now SK already looks more modern than them tbh,.meanwhile Japan still like that, never changing. The spirit of innovation that used to be core spirit of Japan, they are gone.. i felt Japan became more and more etnocentric by days and their products getting worse and worse. This case just one of them, but i remember Honda case in Indonesia, or how a company like Toshiba fall into falsifying their financial reports, or Sony smartphone became non existent player in the market,.list is on and on,.there are something really wrong in Japan tbh..@@AlphaGeekgirl
