A horrifying discovery of rat body parts in bread has prompted a large food recall in Japan. Pasco Shikishima Corporation said on May 8, 2024, that it recalled more than 100,000 loaves of bread from shelves and halted production in Tokyo. The latest incident to mar the country’s reputation for high standards and cleanliness followed a recent spate of food poisonings and recalls.

If this were to happen in India, the company would have denied the entire thing and said that is impossible to happen as their factory is on the moon.
In china, either company gets shut down or media does, depending on government mood
@@hongfeiwei2710 but i think Chinese eats rats🤔
Because this happened in Japan, expect to see nonstop spin on how "clean" the Japanese supposedly are, and how their roach-infested, rat-swarming alleys are superior to other alleys

It is surprising and shocking when you hear it happened in Japan. Even in America, rats and mouses have been found in food more common than you think lol

What's with the audio in the background asking how did you find out?
I didn’t see any audio that asked about how they found out 🤷🏻♀️ That makes no sense at all. Why would the audio have anything to do with how they found out?
If this happens in my country, the news will disappear in 10 minutes as if it's never been happened. 🤣🤣

It’s funny how much of a dystopia this comment section is, If this happen in China, everyone would massively criticize China. If this happen in Japan, small portion would criticize, large percentage would make a positive joke.
I’ve never heard such a based speech from President Biden himself… 🗿
Maybe this is part of marketing strategy to introduce a new product, bread with rat.
Rare incident, maybe caused by robotic packing of nowadays.
The robot knocked a human out of the way, took his car, and is sleeping with his wife.
On the one hand, there are less and less stray cats and more and more rodents in Tokyo. On the other hand, instead of raising prices, they try as much as possible to covertly lower the quantity, then the quality, of processed food. Though prices raise eventually. That is bound to happen again.

Literally buy bread here in Japan 2x a week. Luckily Pasco is not a brand I buy often since it is more expensive than others
People say "you get what you pay for" 😂. Folk "wisdom" for you.
Surprised with "more expensive than other brands".... 😮 I thought rats are rare in Japan?
@@xoxoxyx Nah, they're quite common in big urban areas, much like anywhere else in the world. I'm also surprised to hear Pasco is more expensive than other brands -- in my experience (I also live in Japan), Pasco is the cheap stuff. But then, I'm comparing it with actual bakery bread, and store-baked bread from department store chains like Seiyu, so I guess it's not really a fair comparison. I guess it is more expensive than, say, 7-11 bread -- but I also find that kind of odd, thinking about it, as 7-11 bread is generally better in every regard. Pasco is basically last resort bread. When nothing else is available, and you just REALLY NEED BREAD NOW. Heheh.
@@Wyrdwad Pasco is more expensive than Yamazaki or Kunbaku.
Why is this happening so much all around the world lately? This is probably fourth case i heard about in the last couple of months
Maybe the world is getting more f up because of us
quality controll 😴. but this is what you get from overwork
Bruh, this has nothing to do with overwork. This has everything to do with hygiene. The factory is not sanitary. Hence, attracting rats.

come on. what a discovery but, this accident in JAPAN just 1 out of millions.
And yet China is a nation of 1.2 billion, with millions of food enterprises, yet if this happened in China we'd all be watching specials on NBC and CBS about food safety in China as if it was relevant to American lives beyond mere propaganda purposes
@@TheTranceCartelYeah China is large, so more incidents happen. People don't have the IQ to understand this though.
@@shanmaomao4156 Here's another example of the IQ of normal people: the popular saying "you get what you pay for". How it works out in reality: this Japanese rat bread is apparently a premium brand. What happened to Japan? Are they regressed back to became developing country or something?
The 1980s ended. Crises test the true value of the nation's principles; prosperity only masks it. To be fair to Japan, they suffered a catastrophic tsunami many years ago which sunk their economy and they have never recovered from a crippling national debt since.
idk but i felt pretty much nothing after interacting with some of them, as in they lost their charm or sth unlike the early 2000s

Really gross and sad. Japan's turning into 2020's America with Buddhist Temples and anime to mask its soxiety's downfall. 😢 Even South Korea looks better and much more developed than Japan now. "Flavorless Candy" is trending in Japan, whike you can buy fresh watermelon all year long in "backwards" South Korea.
“Looking” better doesn’t mean better. Unalive stats for students, over drinking/binge drinking encouraged especially after work, burning sun, hidden cameras, sexism etc. SK isn’t better than Japan because of this situation.
Usually japan eats anything raw, how can they neglect extrac protein with baked-rats crispy?

Dude, Japan today is not Japan back in 80s or 90s,.me and alot of my friend alway thinking that Japanese society kind of stuck in early 2000s., right now SK already looks more modern than them tbh,.meanwhile Japan still like that, never changing. The spirit of innovation that used to be core spirit of Japan, they are gone.. i felt Japan became more and more etnocentric by days and their products getting worse and worse. This case just one of them, but i remember Honda case in Indonesia, or how a company like Toshiba fall into falsifying their financial reports, or Sony smartphone became non existent player in the market,.list is on and on,.there are something really wrong in Japan tbh..@@AlphaGeekgirl
