The mistake with clash mini was not releasing it globally right after the big update. Instead they chose to wait, which made a lot of players who waited for global quit the game.

Clash Mini was in the auto-chess genre, which is very niche and already has a small fanbase. What happened was the right moves but the wrong time. With all the abilities supporting the movement in the game, then the no-movement update, almost half of the mini-super wasn't viable. And it would take so long to rework all the minis specials for no movement. Supercells like Batter Royals and R&G because there are metas in every game, but every match is different, keeping players on their toes and wanting more.( I'm not saying Clash Mini wasn't like this. )

My theory is that when they announced that clash mini will die, there where videos and comments (kairos to be more specific) that supercell standards where too high, this making the communities lose trust on them, so they rushed the global release of squad buster, I personally believe that SB was gonna be global eventually, but definetly not this fast.

Clash mini was NO WHERE near ready for global. Also, a game being in beta for 2 years and not ever taking off the shelf once is not a good thing. And guess what? the devs did that on purpose. on last discord clash mini talk, the devs got the same question of why they didn't make close betas (like squad busters and every other sc game). Their response? They just wanted to be different. Blame the devs, not supercell.

At the very least it was better than squad busters, this is just a nothing game where you do nothing for no reason with no skill ceiling and blatant p2w. This game is not ready for global release.

Not to mention they didn't even have a meta designer. Was the game fun? Yes, but not glo al ready one bit. And for squad busters? Now that's a polished game right there. Able to be monetized, smooth gameplay and replayable. The game is also not p2w at all. If you have actually played the game, you'd see that the stuff that looked "p2w" is nothing. It's just like every other supercell games, pay to progress. That's all. There's a reason squadbusters went global. Fun game loop

thats an issue with live service and games as an whole "service". they are made unfinished are/or cashgrabs and either shutdown/never finished. or finished later (very rarely) it just feels like more people released games finished before battlepasses and all these useless time sink cashgrabs. i feel way better with old games (mostly io games and maybe the occasional older games from before the 21st century and also modern steam games if i ever think itd be fun. ) that i enjoy rather than new games that are rushed and shutdown so quickly. for example omega strikers (moba hero pong game) stopped development after less than an year (like 8 months) also the reason it might feel like wasted time is because the vulture higher ups that control games being shutdown or not dont actually care for fun games. their all just focused into the monetary / microtransactions they could gain from an game. before people actually needed to make fun and good games to make an profit. now its like profits being thrown to the wrong people and games. (statement about apex legends. skip if ur not interested) for example popular steam games like apex legends are super unoptomized + it runs on 20 tick rate servers and their official statement / fkin excuse they basically wanted to save costs. (billion dollar company right here. and u can google 20 tickrates apex legends if ur interested in the topic ) its fucking ridiculous how they prioritize money over gameplay. apex legends has far to many money funding events where they do cosmetics not new characters or content when they could slightly prioritize content and new things more . and about their anti cheat an hacker gets in far to easily and its not even an excuse. its just to save costs because the billion dollar fucking company is lazy to properly invest time in an anti cheat. Im sure supercell intends to change the game and add a lot to it as time goes on, but at the current moment it feels boring and repetitive to me. You slowly grind and build up a squad for most of the round only to run at other players and press a button to eliminate them or choose the pacifist route and just keep farming resources while avoiding confrontation.

It's because Squad Busters is a Monetizable MOBA, meanwhile Clash Mini is Auto Chess and want not going to be easy to Monetize. It's kinda funny how all three clash games ended up Dying in the end (Clash Heroes is Rumored to have been reworked to Squad Busters, Hence the Closed Beta). I know Supercell is Expecting prestige with the games they release, but it's still very unhealthy to not release games. This might be a new leaf for Supercell though

I think clash mini had a lot of problems. It was around for two years yet never really tried to get peoples attention back at it. At first it had a bad tutorial and economy too. I continue to play it and friends asked my why and I understand that. They didn’t explain that you could pick what upgrade making everyone believe it had no depth. They fixed a lot of the problems and made the game less random but all of that was kept inside the community, never reaching new players.

I played it using VPN, it's fun at firts but later on it gets to be hit or miss, if you dont farm well at the beginning of the round you are screwed cuz all others will be much more powerful in no time and man... the space on the map you can't even run from players they'll chase you untill they kill you

This is way to close to brawl stars in the sense of movement, graphics, etc... Clash of clans, Royale, and hayday are all radically different. Besides the insignificant boom beach which was to captialize on the early sucess of clash of clans given the amount of copies (and it was their 2nd game at the time). Idk time will tel.

It's literally a reskined Brawl Stars with a DLC update thats seperate from brawl Stars. I mean I never heard until clash mini until this, but it seems radically different and the one supercell shoulda stuck with.

I think squad busters is extremely fun, might be in the minority on that though
The mistake with clash mini was not releasing it globally right after the big update. Instead they chose to wait, which made a lot of players who waited for global quit the game.
I really enjoyed the game sure it wasn't perfect. After the last big update i quit because I knew they wouldn't release it, i think they could have but from my pov it was obvious they wouldn't
Progression was bad, game had no skill especially after the 2.0 update, and what's the purpose of making units not able to move but heros have the ability to move one time and also the game was so p2w just look at oj's video where he spent $1000 just to get the bm
It was same game every time. Massive luck based. Crappy functions. Lot of rng. Last 3 updates just buried the game
Clash Mini was in the auto-chess genre, which is very niche and already has a small fanbase. What happened was the right moves but the wrong time. With all the abilities supporting the movement in the game, then the no-movement update, almost half of the mini-super wasn't viable. And it would take so long to rework all the minis specials for no movement. Supercells like Batter Royals and R&G because there are metas in every game, but every match is different, keeping players on their toes and wanting more.( I'm not saying Clash Mini wasn't like this. )

Squad busters is such a massive misstep it’s insane. It’s just an overblown variant of gem grab/showdown from brawl stars. An absolute shell of what a supercell game should be.
The game seems cool but it seems like its gonna be fun for a month and die out until it gets a huge update. But also i trust supercell, they have made 5 great games and i trust them to do it again

Squad busters: gets released after a year globally. Clash mini: discontinued 2 years after soft launch. It's clear that the new supercell isn’t the same as the old one...
My theory is that when they announced that clash mini will die, there where videos and comments (kairos to be more specific) that supercell standards where too high, this making the communities lose trust on them, so they rushed the global release of squad buster, I personally believe that SB was gonna be global eventually, but definetly not this fast.
Clash mini was NO WHERE near ready for global. Also, a game being in beta for 2 years and not ever taking off the shelf once is not a good thing. And guess what? the devs did that on purpose. on last discord clash mini talk, the devs got the same question of why they didn't make close betas (like squad busters and every other sc game). Their response? They just wanted to be different. Blame the devs, not supercell.
@@haimay5767it was definitely very near global release standard. It just had less polish and a higher skill floor which made it hard to market to babies which bring in big bucks. At the very least it was better than squad busters, this is just a nothing game where you do nothing for no reason with no skill ceiling and blatant p2w. This game is not ready for global release.
@micah_up you're lying to yourself. Clash mini was no where near global. They didn't have a good way to monetize the game other than blocking progression from f2p players. Not to mention they didn't even have a meta designer. Was the game fun? Yes, but not glo al ready one bit. And for squad busters? Now that's a polished game right there. Able to be monetized, smooth gameplay and replayable. The game is also not p2w at all. If you have actually played the game, you'd see that the stuff that looked "p2w" is nothing. It's just like every other supercell games, pay to progress. That's all. There's a reason squadbusters went global. Fun game loop

The thing about new Supercell games is that i never want to fully play and get into their new games as i know they are just gonna get shut down and then ill feel like ive just wasted my time, i just wish supercell didnt have such high expectations for every new release and not actually kill a game so quickly
thats an issue with live service and games as an whole "service". they are made unfinished are/or cashgrabs and either shutdown/never finished. or finished later (very rarely) it just feels like more people released games finished before battlepasses and all these useless time sink cashgrabs. i feel way better with old games (mostly io games and maybe the occasional older games from before the 21st century and also modern steam games if i ever think itd be fun. ) that i enjoy rather than new games that are rushed and shutdown so quickly. for example omega strikers (moba hero pong game) stopped development after less than an year (like 8 months) also the reason it might feel like wasted time is because the vulture higher ups that control games being shutdown or not dont actually care for fun games. their all just focused into the monetary / microtransactions they could gain from an game. before people actually needed to make fun and good games to make an profit. now its like profits being thrown to the wrong people and games. (statement about apex legends. skip if ur not interested) for example popular steam games like apex legends are super unoptomized + it runs on 20 tick rate servers and their official statement / fkin excuse they basically wanted to save costs. (billion dollar company right here. and u can google 20 tickrates apex legends if ur interested in the topic ) its fucking ridiculous how they prioritize money over gameplay. apex legends has far to many money funding events where they do cosmetics not new characters or content when they could slightly prioritize content and new things more . and about their anti cheat an hacker gets in far to easily and its not even an excuse. its just to save costs because the billion dollar fucking company is lazy to properly invest time in an anti cheat. Genuinely idk why i wanted to comment here. maybe i feel the same as u do in an way.

Im sure supercell intends to change the game and add a lot to it as time goes on, but at the current moment it feels boring and repetitive to me. You slowly grind and build up a squad for most of the round only to run at other players and press a button to eliminate them or choose the pacifist route and just keep farming resources while avoiding confrontation.

Agree with this I think it’s forcing a game to go global too soon. For example Boom Beach came out during the height of CoC and Supercell predicted it will be successful but overtime the player base got smaller and I believe the Beach team is only about 11-13 people

Biggest gripe is the chest randomness for high slots. Why am I getting only 2-3 common baby characters with 7 slots (first place and high win streak) to improve the chest?

It's because Squad Busters is a Monetizable MOBA, meanwhile Clash Mini is Auto Chess and want not going to be easy to Monetize. It's kinda funny how all three clash games ended up Dying in the end (Clash Heroes is Rumored to have been reworked to Squad Busters, Hence the Closed Beta). I know Supercell is Expecting prestige with the games they release, but it's still very unhealthy to not release games. This might be a new leaf for Supercell though
Squad Busters to me is a game that they shouldn't release. I just don't see how players will play this game longterm because it just gets boring quickly. I mean sure they can add new game modes, skins, and etc but I just don't see how they would implement new game modes that fit the style of the game while being fun. Unless they surprise me with something crazy in the future, this game will definitely just die out.

Im honestly very excited for squad busters! I think this game has a LOT of potential( as long as supercell doesnt fuck it up). To me, clash mini was not fun. I downloaded squadbusters and i gotta say that i like the game, the only thing i dislike is that there is no clutch potential. If your squad is worse, you will lose no matter what
If you third party, throw a bomb to disrupt your target and pick off their weak back liners, you can get a good amount of gems. Positioning is pretty important
Squad Buster's gonna be the biggest flop probably, but Clash Heroes... What happened to Clash Heroes? It was probably one of the most interesting and fun game concepts from supercell imo and they just decided to go radio silent.
I think clash mini had a lot of problems. It was around for two years yet never really tried to get peoples attention back at it. At first it had a bad tutorial and economy too. I continue to play it and friends asked my why and I understand that. They didn’t explain that you could pick what upgrade making everyone believe it had no depth. They fixed a lot of the problems and made the game less random but all of that was kept inside the community, never reaching new players.
I played every supercell game for years at least but this one is just so bad in my eyes, it has negative skill expression and doesn't feel nearly as cool or polished as the others, it looks more like a weird community project than anything else

The way you approached clash mini situation is wrong because. What accumulated to the things the players didn't like in the last update is because they just hired a meta designer to fix 2y+ worth of problems which is impossible in 1 update

I played it using VPN, it's fun at firts but later on it gets to be hit or miss, if you dont farm well at the beginning of the round you are screwed cuz all others will be much more powerful in no time and man... the space on the map you can't even run from players they'll chase you untill they kill you

This is way to close to brawl stars in the sense of movement, graphics, etc... Clash of clans, Royale, and hayday are all radically different. Besides the insignificant boom beach which was to captialize on the early sucess of clash of clans given the amount of copies (and it was their 2nd game at the time). Idk time will tel.
